We can all agree that there is a sexual marketplace and that some people have different values withing it They want someone better. The 80/20 rule applies here, where 80% of women only want the top 20% of men. Two quotes. They contradict each other. How? Markets sell products, a products value is determined buy the buyer. Which means, the value of any given commodity, is determined by the buyer and thus subjective. This is important because it means that we cannot consistently predict what has v…

Man, if I could sum like half the posts on PPD... it's essentially.... It’s not me being an asshole, it’s... Most of the time, it's op being an asshole.

Well, in my experience they tend to vary. If there's no chemistry or awkwardness or red flags... typically it lasts much longer... but if they're super annoying or we just don't connect or convo is really hard, I cut it off at the 15 min mark usually. No sense in wasting time.

I don't think so. I think I'm just more honest than most about mine.

Everyone, has an agenda. Everyone has their bias. No one, absolutely no one is objective. The best anyone can do is admit their bias, admit their world view and move forward. That's it.

It was NOT a first date. I was commenting more on the cost... not on whether I'd spend that on a first date. I would never spend that on a first date. First "date" is a cup of coffee and no longer than 20 minutes. If there's chemistry, then there's a second date, if not... that's fine too. Life goes on.

I wonder if it's actually different. I mean, all the same metrics are measured. The only difference is access to new partners, which allows people (not just women) to be more discerning about their choices and that's honestly not a bad thing. The only person who "suffers" in this environment is the women having to sort through the large volume of potential matches. While online dating has it's negatives it's made the process for women more safe and given them more control in their interactions w…

Dinner can get expensive if you go to a nice place. I've been to place where the meal is 400 bucks. It's not... ideal... for sure. But I will say the food was stellar.

Regardless of whether you're trying to get sex or not. Putting that aside, the "cheap" first date *is* the best thing to do. For a variety of social reasons. It basically boils down to if things aren't working out, it ends quick and no one wastes time or money. Basically the worst case scenario you spend 20 minutes with an annoying person and never see them again. Best case, you have an engaging date and you both want more. It also acts as a nifty filter for people who judge "cheap dates" and it…

I think it suits your world view, that you believe women are eugenicists... but in truth... it was largely men doing this.

So, the MGTOW / RP "movement" isn't a movement. It's simply put, a off-shoot of fascism. Fascism, has some interesting traits that align with Red Pill / MGTOW / Incel world view. All of which target feminism and wish for the yesteryear of social interaction(s). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Definitions_of_fascism#Umberto_Eco "The Cult of Tradition", is the foundation of all these mindsets. In fact, there's a lot overlap between anti-feminists and fascists. Because fascists oppose progress. It's …

You would like to think I’m projecting. Because it makes it easier for you to accept the narrative you’ve constructed for yourself. Or... I’ve been surrounded by men my entire life and understand men and actually have some insight into how men think and are conditioned to think.

So... let's think about words. I've once heard that one of the causes of most disagreement is in how we define things. So... Order.. (I simply did a "define: order" in Google.) > Order - the arrangement or disposition of people or things in relation to each other according to a particular sequence, pattern, or method. > an authoritative command, direction, or instruction. Stability > Stability - the state of being stable. > Stable - (of an object or structure) not likely to give way or overturn;…

If history is any indication women would be brutalized because men, without constraints, are animals. If we use history as evidence. Should be noted, this is a scathing indictment of men btw. Also to those people who say “I would kill the rapist.” You could try. But there’s a very strong likelihood that someone who traffics so easily in violence likely has way more experience than you do. And if there are rape gangs that’s worse... right? Can your family stop them? If it’s a serial rapist who ne…

The whole Alpha / Bets thing is obscenely stupid. There’s no such thing in human interactions. These are descriptors people use to try to make thinks feel like it’s the “natural order” so that they can dupe people into essentially believing in nonsense. Alpha / Beta, random dating statistics, dating market value, evolutionary psychology... all things used to imply there are all these forces at play that predict how people pair. Every single one of these things, at best, is a guess. Not even an e…

Education according to labor statistics is a key indicator for how successful someone will be long-term. People with educations make more money, tend to live healthier lifestyles and thus, live longer. Regardless, male or female. If you’re serious about building a life with a person, making sure they have an education is just common sense. It also determines politics too. So you likely won’t pair up with someone who will create conflict so being with someone with the same education will result i…

RP is about alienation. There’s no facts, no principles, nothing. They’re exactly like Incels, they just haven’t radicalized enough, yet. They’re alienated men, who see a changing world and simply cannot parse it. So they scapegoat women because that’s easier.

Evidence of a minority disenfranchisement is not not evidence of a majority preference. You’re equating the opinions of the few to the many. There no evidence of what you’re asserting and it’s propagandist nonsense. Data or gtfo.

Red Pillers man... there’s always a psychological angle... It basically comes down to “It’s what they like.” ...women like what they like and it’s not nearly as pervasive as you’re implying. Surprise, surprise they’re people with preferences. I like wide hips, my gf like broad shoulders. We each have those things and thus, we’re attracted to each other. If I’m to make an observation. TRP traffics heavily in stereotypes or templates or archetypes. They tend to apply their individualized problem t…

I think people ghost because one of three things: cruelty or fear or manipulation. None of them are good and no gender ghosts more than another. I’d be surprised if there were evidence to the contrary. Ghosting is about not facing a person when you want to say something I comfortable and this is a universal human discomfort. To clarify: the definition of ghosting I’m using is where two people engage in a conversation and without any signs or flags whatsoever, one person ignores the other person,…

Essentially it boils down to them believing “I have a chance because she clearly has no self esteem.” Because, it’s a form of projection... they’d give ANY woman a chance because they have no self esteem. In essence they don’t understand how to respect your autonomy... in fact I’d argue they don’t value your autonomy or agency.

Someone suggested predators, while definitely a possibility, I think there’s definitely a “low hanging fruit” or “safe” mindset. “Well she’s had it hard, maybe she won’t judge me too hard if I mess up?” Or “Well she’s had it hard, maybe I can cultivate a dependance and this way she’ll be loyal to me forever.” This one is definitely predatory. Maybe it’s a confidence thing? “I’m trash but if she’s has it rough maybe she’ll give me a chance to prove myself.” I don’t think every approach is explici…

It needs being said: The Red Pill operates on a insane premise. It just does. There’s not a single rational thought or idea that comes from that mindset. They are, alienated men. We see this all over the place. MGTOW, Red Pill, Manosphere, Incels. They’re all the same guys with varying degrees of extremism. And they are extremists. The vast majority have the same political views, the vast majority blame the same group (scapegoats) and they all have all kinds of propaganda. They’re anti-women and…

Online dating is what you make it. You need to be patient, mostly. If you’re open minded it definitely helps. It generally works best if you aren’t compromising and if you’re also doing other things to meet people. But if you’re swiping away to find a super model, you’re going be disappointed. You’ll also be disappointed if you’re looking for someone “perfect” with “no issues”. People aren’t honest with themselves typically. We are all flawed and frail in some way and my only critique I have of …

Online dating is imperfect, like ALL dating. The only difference is that it’s very competitive. Does that mean you cannot find happiness? No, it really doesn’t mean that. Yes, attractive people get attention, this has been true since the beginning of time. Because applications and software are streamlining the process, it feels more punitive, but it really isn’t. If you’re unattractive, yeah, it might be hard to date. That’s how it goes. Life isn’t fair. But it never means, you’ll never meet som…

Body positivity simply means, we shouldn’t shame people for being different. Right? They’re not saying you should want to be with a woman with a body type you don’t like, they’re saying you don’t have the right to shame someone with a body type you don’t like. This includes weight, height, disability and so on. The idea is to have positive conversations around the human body and to not harm people who are different. That’s it. If you read into this any more, that’s just you adding to the narrati…

It lasted 15 centuries. To call it a failure is sort of insane, in my view. I’ll agree to disagree here. No person, place, thing or institution is eternal. All things fail over time.

So much of history is defined by hierarchy, not freedom. Western civilization has deep roots in the idea of freedom and liberty. Freedom and Liberty cannot exist in hierarchies. The very nature of a hierarchy is to impose constraints on the different tiers. Thus, history is full of examples of people trying to control other people. The idea of freedom of the individual is relatively new. The reason history is full of this is old defunct system (hierarchy) is because they defined themselves throu…

Unlimited sexual liberty has been tried before in human history. Citation(s) needed. I ask, because Rome and Greece had very different ideas about sex. Side note here, I know the narrative in Conservative circles is this. I’d actually like to see some data. Like actual evidence of the claim that sexual liberation bringing down nations. ... and Rome lasted two thousand years and Greece was literally the birthplace of Western civilization.

years and years of anti male feminist conditioning will do that to a guy Some correcting here... That is something you imagined that is harming you. Feminism isn’t ani-male, if you think is it you’re learning about it from the wrong people. Also, generally if you’re looking to get something for nothing, there should always be a little anxiety about that. The world is a risky and coercive place. This is some seriously funny stuff. Who is this fragile? Who cares? The measure of a healthy relationship isn’t sexual experience. What a stupid way to measure your relationship. Relationships are also partnerships. You need to communicate and respect each other. You gotta share in the responsibility and you gotta nurture each other. Sexual experience is such a bizarre thing to me. Because, I don’t know about most people, but in my experience different people have vastly different physiological …

I understand. I imagine it’s really tough for people who have your world view. Personally, I agree with you. I’m not the sort of guy who does one night stands, if I’m on a date with someone it’s because I’m exploring the potential for something more. Some women, very few in fact, are like you. They want to explore, and date to see if there’s something there. But there women, who straight up take that position from men as an offence. Porn is an industry that exploits trauma. I read somewhere that 1/3 of women doing porn have suffered some form of sexual assault / rape / molestation. That means, these women are getting on camera and reliving their trauma for millions of people to masturbate to. Porn, for some women, is torture. People are masturbating to the torture of women. It’s the commodification of trauma. It’s immoral. ... and that’s aside from the host of other shit. Like normalizing violence, super fucking racist ster…

Personally I think it’s conditioning and culture. I wouldn’t use the word unequal here, considering your average woman is taking a much larger risk engaging with men, than men are. Also, I’m not even sure this would change anything. There’s an article at the Harvard Business Review I thought was interesting and it talked about the differences between male and female managers. Men, are risk oriented. Women, are risk averse. It’s a bit of an oversimplification, but in truth this is what the data s…

So, a couple things. You’re allowed to your values. But this is a free society. People choose their own destinies and we don’t force them to think a thing because we think it’s right. I understand your frustration. But I also find there’s a massive amount of judgement in your text. You’re judging these people. They’ve done nothing wrong. If consenting adults want to have sex with each other many times, they are absolutely allowed to do so. The culture is changing and change can be hard to naviga…

No. Men still want to connect and men still want casual sex. I should note: women want these things too. Feminism has made sexuality more open and free. Women captain their own ships and they no longer need to bend to expectations. Men also get to be more honest too. Every is more honest about what they want. Which means people will be more transactional in some instances? If someone wants to have sex with someone because they’re attractive, all parties consenting, go for it. If people want to h…
