Hence why I'm not posting threads about someone being a big bully and saying mean things to me over the internet. Merely commenting on the general reaction to it from this sub

Personally, i don't really care what people say to me on the internet, most of the time they're only saying it to rustle your jimmies. I'm merely commenting on the reaction in this sub

Yeah I know it happens all the time, and I think that's what his post was ranting about. I don't think it was warranted to make a post about it, but the idea that he's a bitch for defending someone being targeted by a group doesn't really make sense to me. True, he likely only got vocal cause she's a girl...but if someone defended a guy who was being picked on by a group of people cause he has a lisp, there'd really be no question that he was doing the right thing, and he surely wouldn't be in t…

And I'm pretty sure it is discrimination when you pick someone out of a group and target them based on sex. I haven't come across that too often, but the idea that this guy is wrong or a bitch for standing up for her is just funny to me

I'm pretty aware of how shit talking goes in games. Lol it's not shit talking when you're singling someone out just because they're a female. It'd be just the same if you were saying some pretty racist shit to a black guy. It's not shit talking, it's just being an asshole

Spend any length of time gaming online and you can be reasonably sure it was probably cause the guys were just being assholes lol. I mean you're right, we can't know for sure, but experience makes me want to side with him. Sounds like he was just trying to stick up for someone being grouped up on lol

Responding with "shut up bitch" after she speaks is pretty sexist in most lights lol

Depends on how you define it, but either way based off what he said, sounds like they were grouping up on her just because she's a female

the point he was making was that she was being attacked by so many people simply for being a female. its just the same as a group of people going after someone because they're black/mexican/jewish/whatever. it was pretty blatant sexism

i'd chalk the whole ALLOW ME TO BE SUPER NICE AND OUTGOING TO YOU CAUSE YOU'RE A FEMALE in the gaming community to, well, nerds. i don't mean that negatively, i've played WoW/Diablo/Starcraft and CS avidly for years. but it is a running theme that anyone whose ever played an online game for more than a week encounters, and its really annoying.

Yeah because historically women have been afforded the same opportunities men have, right?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
