You mean if we want a man to function in those roles. But the modern world doesn't function that way, we aren't fighting for survival anymore. Those traits aren't necessary in the majority of the modern world. Like curiouscat said, it just breeds sociopathy

Whoever's most physically capable I suppose? Statistically that'd probably be the men. I don't see what that has to do with emotional repressment though. I wasn't arguing that masculinity isn't valid or useful, I was just arguing that emotional repressment isn't a valuable part of masculinity just as the moderator of FDS said.

One of the posts from the moderator here even agrees with that. https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/fioz6p/some_of_them_are_starting_to_get_it/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share I really don't think that's what we should be teaching young men, and like the post says that isn't what being manly is.

Being human beings? Masculinity refers to character traits but you can be an amazing human being without exhibiting "masculine" traits. Edit: and frankly I don't understand the point here, you're saying we should encourage young men, and even children to hide emotions and repress their feelings which has been proven to lead to mental health disorders and other social disorders because that's all they are good for? What does that make them good for? Genuine questions by the way, I hope i'm not be…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
