There is so much wrong with female-only parking spots. Either they are broader than usual, insinuating women are worse at parking than men - a little bit sexist, but also rooted in truth. Or they exist to be safer from predators, because they are well lit and/or closer to the entrance. That assumes women are more helpless than men when facing criminals (which is true - but sexist!). I'm split on that. For example, it makes sense that fat alcoholic smokers pay more for health insurance since not only are they more expensive to insure as a demographic, they also have higher costs individually, every single one of them, and they only have themselves to blame. Now, I agree that men as a demographic tend to be involved in more expensive accidents, but that does not make every single one a high risk driver.
