Glad you liked it. I was worried about length, but just went along with it anyway.

Damn, I thought my research was solid. Obviously missed that. I'll try to dig a bit deeper next time.

Preach it man. I'm seen as this weird nerd because I'd rather do work and study for exams than go out and get hammered three times a week. I find standing around at a party boring; learning new things and practicing my hobbies are infinitely more fun and interesting.

In my original word document I had italics and indentations, but I'm not sure how to do those things on here. I've been a lurker for years but this is my first post. I thought it would be retained in the copy-paste. I'll look it up for next time. Thanks for the tip

I attempted to get a female friend to proofread it as she is doing an English course at the moment, but by the end of the third paragraph she got up and left whilst hurling insults at me. They don't want to understand it as they know it will disillusion them

I think the clinical nature came from the fact I reread and re-edited the thing about a thousand times. I agree with you too on the fact that men have the ability to simply stick to something for months and years without even considering quitting. Glad you enjoyed it

Succinct and true. I like it

Same here man. I have two or three really close friends, and we only catch up once a month to go for a bushwalk. We can walk in silence for hours, but at the end of the day, our bond is strengthened.

I definitely agree; alone=/=lonely. That reminds me of an Aristotle quote I saw on here a while back: "Whosoever is delighted in solitude is either a wild beast or a god." I find women cannot bear to be alone or not in contact with others, and it perplexes me that they cannot reflect on their own thoughts in a quiet space.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
