"Anyone who doesn't agree with me is brainwashed"

The second question I feel is sophistry. I am not trying to do something like that, I just asked it because I see people are far more hesistant to call themselves supportive of men's rights rather than calling themselvs supportive of feminism. Edit: I think you may have interpreted me saying "Are you feminist" as a consequence of you not supporting men's rights which I didn't really mean, those were supposed to be distinct, sorry if I wasn't clear.

Are you banned there? Why don't you care about men's rights? Do you consider yourself a feminist?

Seens your reasoning is "I don't care about the parts the feminists subgroups disagree about, therefore for me they are all the same" This is remotely related to a particular point I made but not whole thing, and even that is misleading. I said the parts where they disagree with is the exception of their motives as feminists and not really their base hypothesis as feminists which is what matters more in their case as feminists matters the most. They only come up with disagreements where their mo…

what? Are we gonna pretend that all feminists think exactly alike? No but I don't think saying "Feminists agree with feminist literature" is much of a far fetch. If that was so, then no feminists would complain about TERFS, or radfems All of the branches of feminism you mentioned don't really differ much in terms of their hypothesis of society and gender, what they differ is in how they further their ideology not that itself. That too is something feminist 'criticize' TERFs and radfems for, not …

They act like feminism is a monolitic organization when it's logically impossible People usually go for the NAFALT line of reasoning which really makes the term feminist meaningless. What's ironic is that once you make that claim you can't really say feminism helps men too or feminism isn't misandristic as feminism isn't monolithic. The funny thing is that feminists treat feminism like a monolith when it favors them and non monolithic when it doesn't.

Mentioning Marxist Feminism should be a disrespect to Marxism. It never really took off in academia and went down quickly in the 90s because feminists wanted to promote the 'Girlboss' stereotype and wanted more female millionaires and billionaires.

Seems like someone not well versed in these topics wrote this. First I don't think they even understand what a mutation is, mutations refer to changes in an organism's DNA sequence. They only show hormonal pathways which on themselves don't mean mutations, hormonal changes aren't mutations. Now it is true that activation of genes also dictate the pathways of sexual development however even these aren't mutations as cells don't specialise due to changes in DNA sequences but rather because they ac…

It’s an absolute fact that we exist in a patriarchy. Which is also an oligarchy. And we live in a capitalist world. Which is why all power and influence is concentrated in the hands of just a few (oligarchy) turbo wealthy (capitalist) men (patriarchy). Once again are you against meritocracy, because saying it is concentrated in just the hands of one gender doesn't mean it can't be the result of higher risk taking by another group. Men take way more risks than women which is the reason they are h…

Men are stronger than women though, that’s a fact. We can explore why. It’s mostly biological. No one here screams this out in thr media. Facts are what they are. It serves no one to ignore them. And men also commit nearly all murders. Why? It’s because of our relationship with violence. And black peoples are more likely to be arrested for a crime. Why? Because of slavery/jim crow that puts that community disproportionately in poverty, and systemic racism that over-polices them, and a Justice sy…

Lol like it is only acceptable for men, no one can say things like Mexicans sell drugs or blacks steal and get away with it. What you say can also be used to justify discrimination against women, as most scientists are men, it would be equally true to say men invent, men discover, men are genius, men are scientist, men are stronger, and men are smarter, I don't this is allowed in media. Saying that you find it to be true shows how poor your thinking level is, it is equally valid to say women are…

That's pretty much what 'benevolent sexism' really is. They just try to frame female privilege as misogyny so that they don't need to do anything to fix it. After all, ending misogyny will put a stop misandry... good old trickle down equality. The problem with this is that it's basically an unfalsiable conjecture, no matter what you do it can't be disproved as one call an always do the same reasoning over and over to call it misogyny. The hypothesis doesn't really have to be consistent over time…

The racism is a byproduct of social oppression in wider society. The biggest cause of social oppression in western democracies is capitalism. An economic system that reveres 'winners' and hates 'losers' will create oppressed social groups. The psychology used to justify one group or individual prevailing over others in unequal circumstances directly creates racism. I have addressed this I the previous reply here https://www.reddit.com/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates/s/p28ylbRRQw What are you on about? I…

This is a liberal analysis of the situation that I just fundamentally disagree with. I think it's a little more nuanced and complex than classic liberal analysis but OK. Racism is the default under capitalism because a divided population with groups that are more okay to exploit than others is profitable to capitalists, and makes the population easier to manage. Capitalism has historically been a driver, by itself, of racist sentiment in society. It is in the material interest of capitalists to …

Are you being serious? Like who's not getting shot? Rich people. The class analysis is obvious. I think I should have been more clear but my point is that across all hierarchies the gender (and racial) differences are still present, it's just that their magnitude changes due to stratification by the other hierarchies (e.g. capitalism) but it does not equate to saying that capitalism is the main driver of the issue. Black women and white men both get shot because they are both part of the oppress…

Yes??? This is exactly why the left wing argument is more unifying and less polarising than liberal identity politics. No that's not the case (I'll explain it further by my comment) both are not fully accurate. The idea of "women's" and "men's" issues being separate and opposed in this way is exactly capitalism. None of your rights are given to you by default under capitalism, they have to be torn from the hands of those who actually have power (capitalists), through struggle. That's where the p…

By this logic I can also argue there are no women specific issues it's just capitalism. Abortion is banned so birth rates don't fall and more laborers are present. Maternity leave is not present as it would be detrimental to the company. Also none of these (maternity leave and abortion) are issues for higher classes but rather mainly for lower classes. Thus women's issues don't exist, it's just a specific form of capitalism.

The problem is with arguments based in individualist analysis, that place the onus for change onto the individual. Leftist arguments are collectivist in nature and argue for structural changes in society to facilitate social change- the focus is not placed on shaming and moralising individuals, like with liberalism. It's the system that needs to change and liberals are opposed to that, whether they're feminists or otherwise. But the failure to recognise certain issues is mainly a criticism of li…

You can just reply without making shit up by the way. You don't need to lie. No I am not lying this is a consensus in biology. The sex that produces larger gametes is female while the one which produces smaller gametes is male. It's the way anisogamy evolved. You can't explain the evolution of sexes using chromosomes. Only difference in gamete sizes can explain the evolution of sexes. Sure, you can say it doesn't apply to all humans. But the reality that intersex people exist does not contraindi…

Feminism is not a monolith. Same argument can be made for Nazism, Nationalism, Imperialism, Christianity. Would people accept these too? Example: How democratic country is. If a country censor some kind of speech but otherwise has free elections, you cannot simply consider this country is a dictatorship. So measuring how democratic a country is more of a spectrum from very democratic to very authoritary. You confused democracy with libertarianism. Democracy is only defined as citizens having the…

No, it can't be possible that men are more likely to initiate violence in a reciprocal situation but women are more violent in reciprocal situations at the same time because people who initiateviolence are more violent most of the times. /r/MensRights29/08/24 01:45 PM

I don't how this relates to any of what I'm saying, we're talking about the military and women and man's hairs are like total polar opposites. Men's and women's investments in their car are also quite different yet men aren't given special leverages for investing extra into their cars. Parking tickets are a penalty or a punishment not a requirement to enter somewhere or something. Neither is joining the military.

What about this Citation then? https://www.badancient.com/claims/gladiator-deaths/ Modern estimates suggest that around 4 out of every 5 (80-85%) defeated gladiators would have lived – whether those who died were killed as a result of losing, or died from their wounds, is difficult to establish (Kyle 1998, p. 86). The whole article gives the reference of the paper this comes from (D.G. Kyle, Spectacles of Death in Ancient Rome (1998)). About 15%-20% fights may have ended in deaths. https://en.m.…

It's proven multiple times scientifically that erections are involuntary and can't be controlled. I still don't know why you keep bringing up men dying in war or being strong, rather than simply addressing the actual claim. Why should I care who says whatever? It's irrelevant, but so far you're the only person in this conversation to say this. Why is it relevant? where are you going with it? Get to the point Because men dying in war isn't damaging to women. You can't just take "logic A" (a square) and apply it to "you hypothesis" (a rectangle), look for contradictions, and then conclude "logic A" was wrong "A Square" is not a logic, "A Rectangle" is not a hypothesis learn the definition of logic then come back. Contradicting yourself isn't a "method" it's just you being illogical I am contradicting benevolent sexism, not myself. I mean sure things like this may have happened in the past , but currently no nation is doing this while many nations at war are conscripting men. For example Ukraine, they are forcing men to die in war but not forcing women to give birth even though their birth rate is already very low and their population is decreasing significantly everyday.
/r/MensRights21/06/24 01:35 AM

I mean... no country wants to go low on population and birth rate.. Does that mean that countries with low birth rates should start forcing women to give birth? Nope.

It's not Literally every feminists says that only men are sent to die in war because they are viewed as physically strong. So does the benevolent sexism theory say. It's the same It's isn't and I have explained that millions of times, benevolent sexism theory states that it's a sexism that men are viewed stronger while I say that it's a biological reality. Less prone? It's sexist, but not "against" women. You added that Then drafting only men and sentencing women shorter is also not sexism again…

You can't apply benevolent sexism to things that aren't related to sex. Squares and rectangles You can apply the same logic however, and if it doesn't show a contradiction, stop making selective reasonings. Being viewed as less violent is a normal and socially acceptable trait therefore it isn't sexism against someone, it's a bias. But being viewed as more violent is a socially unacceptable and extreme trait and therefore associating someone to that is sexism.

They say it's a form sexism, I say it's not and rather a form of biological reality, furthermore they apply it to areas that go beyond strength like domestic violence and sexual assault where there are other ways than strength to hold power.

You're agreeing with feminism I am not, they say associating someone to the more normalised and socially acceptable is sexism against that person, it's not, it's sexism against the man as being violent is more extreme and socially unacceptable than being less violent. In my opinion blacks and men being viewed as inherently more violent by the justice system is by far the most reasonable explanation here. Benevolent sexism theory is the most BS thing I have ever heard of. Because that's extremely myopic. We don't want men to get a slap on the wrist if they murder someone. We want women to actually go to jail when they do it Except that's given that we view men and women at same level of violence and evil but that's not the case, the average man is considered more violent than the average woman, it's sexism because being more violent is the extreme and socially unacceptable trait whereas being less violent and evil is the socially acceptable and normalised trait. …
