I was always jacked, since I had been hitting the gym since I was 15, but that alone didn't help me at all. I had basically given up. Then I read about PickUp and realized that one could actually learn that shit like every other skill in life. The first thing I did was a complete overhaul of my wardrobe. After that I consciously worked on my body language and on holding eye contact. That was the easy part and it already made a huge difference. Now instead of walking around with a nerd neck and b…

You are at a different stage in your life then your friends are, because they already moved on and have spouses and kids. You are not there yet, so you have a better connection with someone younger because she is kinda in the same stage of life as you are. Nothing wrong with that. At my first job I was the youngest and everyone was talking about building or renovating there houses and how bad the teachers at their elementary school were. I was interested in partying, hitting the gym and playing …

I was in the same situation 11 years ago. I told her that we lack the connection for a serious relationship, but that the sex is great and that I want to continue as FWB. She agreed and said she felt the same way. While I am writing this she is putting the kids to bed. Never talk about a serious relationship if you had not been sleeping with her for six months. She will come around eventually. They always do.

Doesn't hurt either. Female platonic friends are value incarnate. Keep them close and go out to hunt together. They introduce you to other girls. The offer pre-selection. They make girls you date jealous and thus increase your attraction. They are great wingmen. They can give you advice on your style. You can analyze each other’s sets or dates together. You can practice all your rapport techniques on them. They are generally fun to hang around with. And most importantly: If you hang around girls…

Sure. If you are dating a girl and she likes you, there is a certain time window when she is expecting you to make the next move. The younger and less experienced the girl, the larger this window might be, but it is always there. If you miss it, she will either think you have no romantical or sexual interest in her or she realizes (maybe unconsciously) that you are a simp that lacks the confidence to move forward. Both will make here loose attraction to you and she is either going to put you in …

What an escalation window is and that your are going to be friend zones you don't act on it.

It did work in my case and for a couple of my friends, too. You (and many others here) are making the mistake of reducing PickUp to Mystery and The Game. The Game was basically the memoirs of a journalist that worked for the Rolling Stone, exacerbated to make an interesting, entertaining story. Mystery's stuff was working for him because it was tailored to his personality and job as a magician. No one in his right mind would adapt this 1:1. Even his trainers on his MTV show were using different …

If there are less extroverts now, it means there is less competition and it is easier to stand out from the crow..

That does not change the fact that today the extroverts are still more attractive. Online dating and Social Media already did exist 15 years ago. When I was dating in my 20ies we had "StudiVZ" which was a shameless copycat of Facebook (they actually stole some of the code), but with no privacy settings. Everyone was using it. Everyone could check your relationship status, how many friends you had, who these friends where, see all your pictures and albums, your interests and a list of groups you …

I was active in the local PickUp community. There were a couple of naturals that read about this stuff so they could understand on a logical level what they were already doing instinctively. About 2/3 were lonely guys in their 20 with little to no experiences with girls and with techie study subjects or interests. Those I still have some contact with are all fathers by now. I only met one of the famous guys of the German community once in a club. He lived it fully. He was there with his "primary…

Because our genomes didn't change from gen y to gen z and so what's attractive and what not didn't change either.

"This isn't just about picking up girls...it's about building a life!" is actually a quote from Mystery (and it was the most famous one of him back then). I always considered those "systems" and scripts as crutch to fall back to when things weren't working out or you were put in a situation you have no experience dealing with. E.g. you are talking to a girl, everything is fine, but another guy joins the conversation and is trying to steal her away. What do you do? Another example: The first time…

Well, I am from Germany and these values where placed prominently in the introductory sticky post of the two biggest message and also came up frequently in the literature we had here. The most popular book was literally called "Praise of Sexism" and even that said "Leave here better than you found her. Always be clear about your intentions. Don't obsess about her body count, because if guys with game are going to bang several girls, well then girls will be banging several dudes, because logic."

I loosely followed the Red Pill scene since 2010. "Pull supermodels" was early Mystery shit back in the 90ies. In the 2000 it was self-improvement and natural game. In the 2010s Red Pill took over (come former PUA coaches migrated to the Red Pill) and the longer it went on, the more it became about feminism and "female centric" society. Instead of giving advice how to improve one's situation it started to cater to angry and hostile feelings in unsuccessful men because that got them more follower…

This was just Mystery and he got somewhat famous because he had an MTV show. There also was this thing called "social calibration" - adjust the stuff to make it fit the cultural environment you are in and your own personality. His stuff worked for him because he was a magician. And while no one took him seriously (at least from the year 2000 onwards), even he did not say "Be a magician yourself."

Yes, but it was deleted because I set the flair to "Discussion" while it had to be "Debate".

When I started PickUp in my mid 20ies, I was a lonely, inexperienced guy looking for long term relationship. Still, I always went for sex asap. But I also told the women, that I am open to a relationship and how things develop along the line, since that was the truth. If the sex is bad, why would you consider that person for a long term commitment anyway? Also, the power dynamic shifts in favor of the guy once you start having sex. With one girl I went from first night pull to half y year of fwb…
