It makes sense that you’re struggling with this. You went through a deep betrayal, the divorce finalized, and then she married the affair partner a month later — that’s not something anyone just shrugs off. Wanting to be civil for the kids doesn’t mean you owe them friendship, and it doesn’t mean you have to pretend the hurt isn’t there. Anger, grief, and the sting of seeing them together are normal reactions to what happened. Getting to a better place isn’t about forcing forgiveness; it’s about…

Name changes are almost always about identity, not emotional attachment. Not a big deal and let it go. It does not mean she wants to get back. There are many possible reasons: laziness or she built a professional identity using your last name. Or she does not want numerous name changes or she has a legal reason to use that name or like your last name and derives some comfort from it. She is not trying to reconnect but has some other reason to use that name.

Don’t engage. Don’t escalate. Don’t entertain. Just stay steady, consistent, boring, and boundary‑focused. Nothing destabilizes a chaotic ex faster than a man who refuses to play the game. Your response was good. She may persist. If she does send a message like this: I hear that you’re struggling, and I’m not ignoring that. I care about you as the mother of our kids, and I want us to co‑parent well. But I’m not in a place where revisiting our relationship is healthy for me. I’ve worked hard to r…

Sorry for your experience but as long as you keep trying you will get nothing. Move on or at least pretend to have moved on and she will be curious and may give you something. Cut off all ties except what you need ro keep. Make sure your friends and family do not feed anything back. In the long run you were living witth a toxic person and no longer have to.

Why would you entertain that request? Nothing good will come from it. Make sure everyone knows and make sure they know why. You do not want her to spin a story and tell them made up stuff. She is a x for a reason,,,

You get 900K. Your cost was 780K. Profit was 120K or 60K each. Give her 410K and you get 490K. From your share, you have to pay the bank 300K leaving you with 190K. She put in 350k and gets 410k with profit of 60K. You put in 130K (besides mortgage) and get 190K with profit of 60K. Adjust if the house sells for more or less than 900K. You put in more but most of it was mortgaged. Sharing profits equally will compensate and be fair. Just my opinion. Check with your lawyer and this is not legal ad…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
