Are you talking about the statistic claiming “more that a quarter of American women (26%) take such drugs -- including antidepressants, anti-anxiolytics, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) drugs, and atypical antipsychotics”? Because 1) 26% doesn’t even round up to “1/3 of all women” and 2) that includes anti-anxiolytics (used for anxiety) and adhd meds, which are a far cry from anti depressants and anti psychotics

I don’t think “men are bad at communicating” originated as a response to casual conversation. “Men are bad at communicating” stems from guys getting so angry and they start punching walls, because they don’t know how to express their anger any other way. Or when men are told they shouldn’t cry, so they don’t know how to deal with grief. The sentiment may have been co-opted as a lazy excuse for guys that don’t bother talking about their feelings, but I don’t think that’s what it was meant for

Wtf are you talking about. These are not the same arguments lol Edit: and I’d argue that those last 2 points are socialization, but you’re too dense to understand that so I’ll let it be

Lol the exact same argument you just made has been made for primates and other species tho. There is an evolutionary benefit for primates/mammals to be attracted to/breed females with larger hips as the likely hood that they will die in childbirth is significantly smaller, and therefor they are able to keep reproducing. The difference is that we have evolved way past the evolutionary curve of any other species. “Evolutionary curves” cannot be used to justify our preferences as human, because the…

You sound like my ex that justified cheating bc the new girl had “childbearing hips” and he had the uncontrollable evolutionary urge to breed her

Yes sir I understand how parental fraud works.. It’s splitting hairs but they’re two separate issues. Imagine a girl slept with 10 people in college. She’s now out of college and is with you, monogamous, but with a high n-count. That’s what this post is about, and wouldn’t constitute paternal fraud is she were to get pregnant. If she’s still currently sleeping with the 10 guys, then yes I understand, but OP specifically quoted a study that said unfaithfulness was a separate issue.

How does n-count have anything to do with paternity fraud? If anything paternity fraud would come from being unfaithful, which was cited as a separate quality.

I once had a guy tell me his fantasy was tying me up and suspending me from the ceiling, and then using a dildo on a long pole to get me off. I’m not sure what part of that exactly is where I would draw the line, but that definitely crossed it.

cough cough Scott Disick. Seems he has the emotional maturity of a 23 year old and can’t seem to keep a girl past that

Out of 10 guys, 3 are truly “insufferable” (your words), another 4 are in a relationship, 2 are not quite insufferable but definitely not great, and the last 1 has a nice personality but isn’t looking for a relationship

Why would anybody purposefully seek out codependent relationships? Because they’re insecure

Ya this was my thought as well. If you have never heard the opinions of the opposite sex through a completely platonic lens, you’re either going to be incredibly awkward or hold them up on a pedestal. Also, really? We’re still thinking that people can’t just be friends with the opposite sex? Sounds incredibly boring, and more like a personal insecurity

Someone in college once told me I should never go somewhere without enough money to get home safely; if all else failed. And I’ve kept a $20 bill folded up between my phone and case ever since then

Ok that’s fine, but you still haven’t answered the question. Where are you getting your “average profile”? Are you just assuming they’re all mostly old, fat and in debt? Because the majority of posts (on a sub about fostering relationships) are about men and relationships?

What mental illness? I must be blind, I definitely don’t see indisputable evidence of any mental illnesses

I’m curious where you’re getting the “average” profile. If anything FDS has many posts with women showing off their new promotion, or getting a raise after focusing on themselves. FDS preaches financial independence and being able to take care of yourself

The petty in me would sew some explicit words or images on the back side of the curtains, just for him to see. They’d no longer be shear, but at least your neighbor would know where he stands

This happens to me all the time! In my younger years I (briefly) held a national record in swimming and guys would try to challenge me whenever the subject came up. Like no, hun, I can see your lack of ankle/knee flexibility from here, there no way you’re going to beat me in a breaststroke even that you’ve never even tried before

How much you wanna bet she thought he’d propose during the shoot, and it’d turn into an ironic inside joke? I’ve seen so many photo shoot proposals lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if she booked this herself and then dropped hints the entire time beforehand. And for what? Now you have non-proposal photo shoot pictures to cherish for the rest of your lives?

How do you report a doctor and what’s the outcome of being reported? Is it just a dock on their resume or do you (the patient) have to carry the burden of proof?

Finally came to the conclusion that the guy I was talking to either lacked basic reading comprehension, or was being intentionally confusing so I’d drop the subject/apologize. And neither of those are worth it. This is also why I refuse to talk to grown ass men over Snapchat, since you can never go back and reread the entire conversation, which makes it intentionally confusing as well.

Not quite mansplaining, but sexism nonetheless. I’m a textile engineer, and I basically measure properties of materials used in athletic apparel. Materials right out of a factory are drastically different then materials that have been washed a few times (depending on the finishes applied), so we test all materials before and after 3x wash. This basically means I do A LOT of laundry for my job, and guys love to make jokes about how that makes me good wifey material. I work in a very nice and expe…

Chess is just one of those things where I truly don’t understand people that hold onto their deep rooted misogyny. At least in sports there’s the physical aspect, but what’s the male equivalent upper hand in chess? Girls have too many emotions?

I recently had the realization that I was a pickmisha. Every guy I’ve ever been with has eventually reached back out and gotten back together with me, only to ghost again a short while later. I used to think this was a compliment (they wanted to come back to me!) but now I realize I was just the human embodiment of a doormat... thank god we’re done with that

I’m (straight, female) very close with another (straight, female) coworker outside of work and she want to buy me a vibrator ... some people just don’t understand work boundaries That’s being said, it’s weird when a female does it, but it would be a dealbreaker if a partner did it

This is exactly it. If I give you the chance at a date you better be prepared to sweep me off my feet because I will gladly go right back to being single. You get one chance to convince me you add anything to my life

Every “gym bro” I’ve ever met is the same way. They are so tunnel visioned on gAiNS, that they literally can not comprehend putting in minimal effort towards someone else. It’s so pathetic

It’s because plastic surgery has become so common place that men don’t even realize how much of a hypocrite they are. If I give my preferences on height or dick size and the guy isn’t in that range, there’s nothing he can do. But if he complains that my boobs aren’t big enough, or I have a flat ass, he sees those as things I will willing change about myself to be with him.
