Yeah, it's one of those things that just permeate the justice system. It's been shown that (in America) when men and women commit the same crime, women will often be given a lesser sentence. Women are often not held accountable for their actions because they are viewed as weaker, especially if it is physical violence. It sucks. I'm a big advocate for equal sentencing and it's one of the reasons that I'm a feminist.
