Well yeah it’s not the same importance to men because what you’ve been seen as having the intelligence and ability to do hasn’t been sitting around with a baby on one of your boobs. And anyone who thinks being the ones in charge and control doesn’t also suck is dumb. Read Orwell’s “killing an elephant”. Everyone gets trapped. There’s nothing wrong with noting who had structural power though. Like I loved looking through my microscope as a kid but all my heroes, like Pasteur, were men. Would thin…

Yall stop yelling at women who don't agree with mainstream feminism or would be happy to shout over the misandrists. Drive them from the word and the movement and feminism will never change. It will end up being all people who are perfectly fine with being associated with the absolute worst of feminism you all can find. While losing none of it's influence. Or all mealy mouthed lib fem who will tell you feminism helps men too while not doing a damn thing for you all.

I haven’t met you but I think this is behavior I’d just say no to. Meeting an ex? What if she left him for good reason and he’s still seething? It also seems a little too cop like for my taste. But good luck and I hope you find someone nice.

I always wonder if it’s because the father doesn’t want a boy treating his daughter the way the father had treated them. If he thought boys were kind and respectful to girls it wouldn’t occur to him to be threatening.

Sure pal. No need to have reality get in the way of telling abused men the situation is hopeless. I sometimes think people aren’t even all that invested in changing things because it’s more satisfying to be angry and put upon all the time. The weaknesses you see in feminism can happen to any movement.

In places where mandatory arrest policies were put in place, the number of women arrested for DV went up. It seems when the cops have to arrest one of a couple, they do look for who is actually injured, or who is being the most aggressive, instead of just grabbing the man. I agree with your pointing out that there is still unfairness and being angry about it. But I think making changes in the system are effective. So when you see women’s groups or feminists supporting mandatory arrest, support t…

I think this is what people want to push back against. Most is the most prominent early psychologist and psychiatrists in the field were men. So I’m guessing you think men helped develop a model that only fits women? If so that needs to be recognized and talked about.

Stupid people can give their opinion about things too, lol. People can be silenced by a twitter mob if it affects their employment or things like that, sure. I think she'll be fine. You also have a point about the ideology. Women can have diverse opinions and should be encouraged to speak their minds by other women. So, I guess there is a line between criticism and shaming people for thinking differently.

I can empathize with what you are saying because I think a lot of women also feel alienated by both the left and right. I think that part of the left is going to drive people away just like religion has lost followers Because they talk about kindness and moral superiority while giving free reign to their own cruelties. But I find the way some of the left talks to hurting men to be terrible.

It would be interesting to read the study. But the headline reads like it’s taking a normal human attitude and making it into a flaw. I’d like them to study women’s attitudes. We all center ourselves in our experiences. Women also feel happy they are arousing enough to make their partner come.

Sure find whatever you want attractive. But then I see all the men bemoan what it actually means when the man has the important job and she doesn’t. Some guys want it both ways.

Yes and plenty of lesbians are speaking against it and plenty of gay men aren’t However the dynamics of it happening it’s outrageous that ‘cis gay men’ have been put at the lowest rung of the progressive stack. Even in the ‘good’ places for gay people to exist, gay men are the most likely to be targeted by hate crime.

Sex workers who want to fight against trafficking and pimping have worked with radfems. That’s how MacKinnon came to see woman as a political group that included trans women. But sex workers can have their own goals and interests that swerfs don’t support so I can see people feeling excluded.

Of course our behavior is effected by societies messages. Do you think the norm for all time has been for people to have sex on the second or third date? We all just individually came up with the same norms at the same time? it's a natural response to womens behaviour Perhaps it is a response to women's behavior but its not inevitable. It seems like men could also acknowledge they participate in the norms because it suits them just fine if women get the message to give it up by the third date. I…

I believe that. Those things happen to feminists who go against the grain also. Like TERFs or SWERFs. It shouldn't happen and threats of demonstrations cause facilities to cave rather than deal with potential violence or disruption. I don't know what the answer is.

No, I don't believe I will fuck off. Don't you all always talk about how you don't shut down dissenting voices like the feminist subs do? There is no question in my mind women can do horrible things. I'm questioning whether feminists torture and kill men who advocate for men's rights.

It really sucks the messages people are getting about sex. The only way to find out what you want is to date a lot of people but adding the expectation of early sex onto that means the only way to do this is to fuck everyone you should be only casually dating.

Yes. People grow as they get older. I don’t know why people’s ability to change and change their mind is looked down on. Both men and women can confuse being used with being loved. Why would I want a 30 year old to act as stupid as they did when they were 20.

Things are usually only true for subgroups of people. Of course not all men are going to be praised for having the same amount of sex that would lead to the scorn of a woman doing the same. But it happens for sure.

Win what the internet? 🤨 no one likes the way FDS talks about men so why can’t guys just state their preferences without calling women names? And why do guys think their penises are so powerful that a touch from them changes who a woman is as a person?

The world isn't all chads and betas, lol. Betas can be assholes too. And anyway, while the woman is having sex with you because she has such discerning taste, for another guy, she's riding the cock carousel. The carousel you guys create because casual dating has to include sex on your timelines. Women would be happier if they stopped giving a fuck about any of this.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/20 06:32 PM

I mean, you’re kind of setting yourself up for some seething here. I don’t know why you are assuming every woman in existence banged chad last week. You want women to let you ons her like you think chad is able to. But don’t you lose respect for her if she does that and think women with high counts lose their value? What are women supposed to do? They want to be valued like you want to be desired. Men and women sometimes think being valued means different things I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/20 02:23 AM
3

I’m not talking about what I want, lol. My dad taught me to value things in men other than being handsome or having money. I’m just shooting the shit about fds philosophy.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/20 02:07 AM
6

Yeah no kidding. I’m saying women need backbone not to be pressured into sex by the second or third date. By society or men. Unless she wants to that fine. But the women who are going to regret it or feel used don’t need to do it. No matter what messages the media are sending them. Same with guys. Society pressures them to feel men who are valued get a certain amount of sex with a certain type of woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/20 01:57 AM
5

Yeah, I agree with some of what you are saying. I think it has become normalized that women are expected to give it up on like the second date. So I don't see a big problem with women valuing themselves more. Like, I don't know you well enough to lend you $500.00, why should I get naked with you? So, they have a few good ideas for young women, but it could be better.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/20 01:33 AM
10

Ok? A relationship with a dude with a big dick, money, whatever. They realize a lot of dudes will pump and dump if you let them. Or be his live in and play wife without a ring. I don’t know what kind of guy they want but I can tell what they don’t want. I’m not saying the way they go about things is perfect but there are some things some young women could realize. A lot of the Cosmo ‘sex positive’ being fed young girls mostly benefits men. Unless a woman wants no stings attached sex. Not everyon…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/20 01:20 AM

Women don’t need to be told how to get guys. So of course fds isn’t about that. Getting laid isn’t some puzzle women have to solve. It’s for women who want commitment. So they give advice like ‘don’t give men the benefits of marriage before he marries you’. As another poster put it, it’s how women used to date. Now they’ve figured out that hookup culture and FWB benefits men. That is for women looking for relationships.

Well, people justify banning incel groups by saying their misogyny shouldn't have a home. I think you are making a distinction where there isn't one. However, like I said, I'm not sure if banning the incel sub just didn't make things worse from the perspective of stopping hate and anger.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/07/20 02:37 AM

Yes, it is harmful. I had mixed feelings about the banning of the incel sub. I have a thick skin so they could vent about women 24/7 for all I care. But, if no platforming helped some of them find healthier outlets or stopped mentally unwell people from acting out, I would be for it. I am not convinced achieves it though.

Reddit is a private company and technically, they have the right to decide who can and cannot interact with their product. right, so I've heard. There is still a discussion to be had about whether a small number of private companies should be able to decide what we can read. It might not be a discussion you want to have, but its out there. I mean, there is a difference between 'a private company did it so it doesn't violate the 1A' and 'a private company did it so its beyond reproach'. Even the …

Yes, and that's how people will react if r/mensrights gets banned. I guess people need to decide how they really feel about the concept of free speech (not the 1st A, necessarily) and stand for it all the time. Whether we're getting a chuckle out of a banning or not. It's one way tribalism benefits the powers that be, we fight each other instead of standing up to power. But, I know how tempting and satisfying it is to see people finally 'get their's'. I think its hardwired into us.

The research I’ve read shows that in adolescence, boys lose empathy for other boys and become more empathetic to girls/women. At that point in time, girls empathy doesn’t change. So while I agree with your point that society cares more for women than men, it’s appropriate to point out that men show less caring to other men. Of course it also needs to be acknowledged that when men in power do advocate for men it causes a backlash. Both things contribute. I also agree the differences in caring cou…

I’m saying people decide for themselves what issues and rights they want to work on. If men aren’t centering themselves in the necessary planning and work I don’t know what to tell you. Unless it’s working fine now then carry on.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/06/20 12:36 AM
1

I’m not perplexed by anything. How do you judge the merit of an mra idea? By whether you think it advances what you believe. So who has standing to decide what a man or men want? Nothing wrong with having female leaders but acknowledge they are advancing what you want advanced.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/06/20 12:25 AM
1

So either people are shooting this woman's dogs wherever she goes or she doesn't know what the hell happened. There's a perfect sub for the accusations of feminists shooting her dog: /r/thatHappened. So, the women MRAs, don't you agree with what they are advocating? If one suddenly decided family courts are fair, you wouldn't decide whether that is advocacy for men's rights? Or, do men just accept what they say are men's issues.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/20 08:51 PM

Then why are you telling people you think don’t know that feminists killed her dog? Why let men decide what men’s concerns are? Hmmmmm
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/20 09:28 AM

You didn’t answer my question. Who decides what men’s concerns are? And no one killed her damn dog. She says racists shot it in the us because she has a mixed grandchild. How many of her own words have you read?

Thanks for your comment. If you see here (last graph on page) people want to help their boys learn to express feelings. I think the bias is so deep and starts so early that I think they aren't even sure how. That, and I think people talk to girls more about feelings because girls develop language a few months earlier. Maybe more male mentors for younger guys are needed? I'm not sure.

I'll just tell you the most recent one. I've heard the men talk about how men's rights aren't taken seriously because people don't care about men.
