That is to say, showing that taking a life for a life may be preferable than standing by and watching many more innocent lives ended. Usually, I’m on the other side of the debate. It all comes down to the difference between vengeance and justice, which I often contemplate.

I dunno, the system ain’t great, but at least this way, an innocent person is less likely to be executed. In this way, justice is had, and fewer innocent people are wrongfully executed.
