Oh no I won't disagree that's sports bras are a necessity. It's almost impossible to run/jog without one. In the gyms in Oregon there is no signage about not going shirtless? That's extremely surprising to me. I'm in the Midwest and every gym I've been in expressly states you can't go shirtless (note I mean completely shirtless, a sports bra or crop top is fine). It's also almost exclusively focused towards men unless a woman really wanted to go completely shirtless which I would say is unlikely…

I'm in the U.S. and throughout HS, College, and Adulthood I have never seen someone work out shirtless at an indoor gym. Running outside or practicing for sports outside is a different story and I've participated in such activities shirtless. But I have never seen someone shirtless at a commercial gym (I've only had a membership at 6 or so but I digress). I'd love to know what country you're from where that is normal. That's a disingenuous example and you know it. I have never seen anyone working out shirtless at a gym. If a man did that I would absolutely consider him a "slut" and definitely not consider it a good thing. You act like what men wear is not policed in a gym even more rigorously than woman. A woman can wear leggings and a sports bra without a second look.
