I actually really needed this, thanks. I'm not low right now, but I have a feeling I may need to use this sometime over the next year.

You could always tell men about your back up plan once you're already talking about children. That's a good idea btw, I might do that myself one day.

You could try looking at the research on this, as in how premarital sex affects divorce rate. The effect is the same for men as it is in women. Personally I'd avoid a man with 10+ partners. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10989935/

This is a great topic, and something I want to work on before I start dating again. One thing I'm doing is trying to stay away from the fear mindset like you say. 'More will always come' is something I sort of repeat to myself whenever I get into a scarcity mindset. I'm looking for work right now and starting to feel insecure, so it's definitely needed at the moment. I just tell myself that I've worked before and it's only a matter of time before I find something. I've learnt over time that you …

If he's getting a masters related to architecture, the internship may be part of the masters, lots of masters have work placements built in.

I'm betting she does act out. This whole thing seems like she was mad about not getting immediate praise for surprising him in this way. He's an intern, so he may have actually been busy even though it's his days off, studying or preparing for something. I think it's slightly inconsiderate to assume anyone is completely free for a few days. And then this plan is probably more inconvenient than she realises. But in her mind, she just wanted to do something nice, and is now trying to tear down his…

I would have said two years (my opinion, not trying to argue), but then my last relationship was long distance for awhile, so it took us longer to get to know eachother. When you say one year, roughly how often would you see them?

Yes I agree, this is probably why it's taken me so long to start, I've never really seen the point of casual dating.

This is how I feel too, I'd be lost with 'casual' dating. It sounds like a good way to bring trouble into your life, and for little reward.

Yeah, it's definitely a fine line. I've just started as well really, and my enthusiasm is probably why I've already got three posts here :P. I've been single for 2.5 years, and feel ready to start looking now. I completely agree with not withholding enthusiasm. Like before, a guy I liked did something embarassing infront of me, later in the day I talked to him again and showed no loss of enthusiasm in the conversation. I could visably see him relax, since he knew he hadn't ruined anything.

Yeah, I've already started getting myself ready in small ways. Like I just started using my hot rollers a few times a week, they make my hair look a lot softer and fuller. I'm going bit at a time, like right now I wear mascara only, but I'll probably do full natural makeup in time. I was never girly as a teenager for reference, which is why I'm gradually making these changes. I've also started researching how to clean properly, as opposed to just wiping things down. This is all good advice thoug…

Yeah, I wouldn't want to start completely from scratch at age 28-30. I've only ever had one relationship, it was long but this still translates to limited experience. I've had two dates with two different people so far over the past few months, we'll see how this goes :P

Yeah, I'm very glad looking back that my first relationship from ages 15-22 didn't work out. He wasn't the right person and now I can put some clearer thought into what I want. I also would have said ages 25-26

If it helps, the internet is where people's nastiest thoughts come out, since there's no consequences like in real life. I've noticed something similar with myself too, like when I'm in a very bad mood, I'll occasionally have thoughts that I know are unfair towards different people. Or groups of people, I won't repeat the thoughts here. I know these thoughts only come out when I'm feeling very low, and they don't represent my true feelings. Hopefully something similar is happening to these men w…

This is good advice, hopefully I'll be going back to my uni course, which would give me the chance to pursue something with him, but it would be unwise to try while I'm still here I think.

Yeah, I don't even know why I second guessed this 🤣. I also posted in 2x, where of course the first comment tries to convince me it's normal. I posted here right after to get some proper answers. She is considerably more social than he is, and he doesn't seem to fit in with her social group. I think it's a bit harsh to say she might not be suited to marriage, this just sounds like the wrong person for her.

There must be a market if they keep making these dolls I guess, but I doubt they'd ever be a real competitor vs relationships.
/r/RedPillWomen09/06/24 04:34 PM

They make some quite realistic dolls now, and in lots of countries single people can adopt children. By your logic, why don't men just do this instead? A doll would be expensive in upfront costs, but much cheaper over time, it also can't argue/cheat/get a divorce.

I'd say this especially if the kids are living with dad and not mum. It's usually the reverse, that would work better for someone who doesn't want their own kids, but is willing/wants to be an 'aunt' type figure for them I guess.

Well, I really hope I can find someone like you've found. I was out for a walk earlier and thinking to myself, it would be nice to walk for miles this weekend, just to see where the road goes. I moved to the country a couple of months ago. I know it would be difficult to find anyone, male or female, willing to do that with me. It also amazes me the way I can now just see/hear owls most nights, something I haven't experienced before. Thanks for your input!

Thank you, this really does help. Especially the last bit about it not being a radical standard to have, I struggle to remember that. I was just thinking to myself, porn being readily available is a bit like sugar being readily available. Refined (cane) sugars don't exist in the natural world, our bodies have to work to break down fruits and vegetables to release the sugars. And even then, ancient fruits and vegetables would have had less before being selectively bred. But anyway, this is much l…

I would exit now, but that's me. Simply because it seems like it's early days and he's ignored the fact that these models make you feel worse about yourself around him. He doesn't really have to stop looking at these models if he doesn't want to, and he might even have followed more to see your reaction, but if this is something you can't accept, it seems like leaving early is the best option. And really if that is what he was doing, someone who 'tests' you isn't a great person.

It's hard for me to imagine my future husband being an 'employer', when at least half of the employers I've had have been shitty and power-tripping. There's some fear in why you treat an employer with respect, but that's not how it should be with a partner, that sounds toxic. What he's doing sounds kind of dumb as well, he perceives some slight against him you probably didn't mean, and then quietly sulks about it. That doesn't inspire respect. It's very easy to see things that aren't there, or t…

I don't believe men in general have the same drive to look after women as women have for their children. I believe it is a trait in men, just no where near that strong. There was a case not long ago of a woman who was sexually assaulted and raped on a train, in view of other men who did nothing, not even call the police. When things like this are posted, I also see lots of comments from men saying they'd never challenge a strange man to protect a woman, since they could get hurt.

This sounds bad, if he's already got permission to track you then he'll probably keep asking for more, and get suspicious and annoyed if you start saying no. He has severe trust issues/control issues that he can probably only fix himself with professional help. These answers probably aren't what you were hoping for but it sounds like he needs an intervention.

I think the point was more most men believe they still have all the fingers at that age, I've even seen men say they could father children in their eighties, they really have no idea. The risk of severe autism or down syndrome is also really important, a child like that will never leave home and will always need care, probably from the mother. That in itself is enough to put me off having children with a man over 40.

It's really dumb that they believe that, like the rest of your body changes with age, why wouldn't your reproductive cells change as well? And this is from men who claim to be logic/reality based. I read the other day out of curiosity, the maximum age in the UK for donating sperm is 46, and I think it's lower in other countries. That's better than women's fertility, but not by that much really. I think we're seeing a weird effect where because no one is ever taught about this, some people just i…

You could try telling him if you haven't that being a sahm is working, just at home. I can't blame him too much because lots of people don't see it as work for some reason, but he needs to update his thinking. There's a reason babysitters are paid, people don't work for free. And if you both had to pay a babysitter or day care, it would take a huge chunk out of the money you earn anyway, so much that it might not even be worth it.

You sounds kinda butthurt, it's okay to be wrong sometimes, real life doesn't always play out like what you read on the internet. My parents have a similar relationship to what the person you're talking to described.

It sounds like he's been reading some incel stuff, no it isn't okay for him to take all your belongings at a moments notice, that's insane and abusive. Honestly, it doesn't sound good if he's this easily swayed by people online. Complete strangers have convinced him he needs to treat you as lesser for no reason.

I've mostly seen men joking about dick size, and insulting women's genitals actually, if there's going to be a movement it should be men putting in the effort, since it's mainly men causing the problem.
/r/RedPillWomen14/10/22 09:33 PM
2

I think it's because as a society we are more okay with offending men because men are seen as stronger. Not saying it's right, I just think that's the explanation. I would also say we should be against both insults, not that we should support men bashing women because of their weight, just because that would 'fix' the double standard. It is true you can control your weight, but losing weight is incredibly difficult for many people, and they don't deserve bashing anymore than short men.

To me it didn't read like 'do it or else'. They've talked about this many times, starting from before the wedding, so he knows it's really important to her. He can expect her to think about moving on if it's starting to look like he's wasting her fertility. She's just being honest about that, and now he has time to process if he actually does want a family, or if his current lifestyle is too important to him. It's too risky for her to wait until 30+, or she might not be able to have children at …

Yeah, I noticed on tumblr it's really popular, and cute too. Lots of posts about traditional femininity, baking, modest fashion etc. Although, overall I agree it's a subset, woke stuff is still more popular. But then I also think the majority of women fall kind of in the middle somewhere.

I guess this could be true of most men, there was that study showing way more men than women divorce if their wife gets multiple sclerosis or cancer.

That's good, it sounds like a good setup. I kinda judge stay at home wives with no kids and no work, that just sounds the same as being unemployed. It makes sense if you have kids to look after/clean up after, but there wouldn't be much more work than if you were living alone if you only had to cook/clean for one extra person. I think a part time job at least makes sense in that situation.

It kinda sounds like you admit you don't love him at the end there. Have you thought maybe you just want to jump on this because it's there? I'm thinking this because I nearly made a similar decision to you. You're only 23 and there'll be other guys that want to marry you, when you're ready and you actually do love them.
/r/RedPillWomen18/08/22 09:57 AM

That's fair, but you should probably leave someone who has completely unreasonable preferences like not going certain places, talking to certain people, not attending important events etc. It would be a bit messed up for someone to say, 'i'd prefer it if you didn't go to your graduation ceremony' and then leave when the partner doesn't listen. They're free to do that like you say, but they definitely aren't a good leader. Really you should be leaving someone like that, not the other way around. …
/r/RedPillWomen16/08/22 10:55 PM

I agree they technically can, but having the preference that your partner can't attend their graduation ceremony and do many other things is abusive. It's like saying someone can have the preference that their partner never eats anything, of course they can have that preference, it doesn't make it sane or morally right.
/r/RedPillWomen16/08/22 07:26 PM

I would add as well that a real leader wouldn't make demands like getting rid of certain friends, 'banning' places and not allowing pictures on social media. A real leader is confident and not trying to control you out of fear.

It sounds like she's still depressed, no one can predict that they'll be depressed in the future. And she's not planning on leaving them to look after herself because of it. No one is selfish just for having depression/depressed thoughts, wtf. It probably also doesn't help that we usually only hear about parenthood positively, we hardly ever hear about stories like this. tbh he sounds very immature, strength training is just fitness, not lesbian or feminist. As women we'd also have to train pretty extreme to look like body builders, that's probably what he's imagining. I used to do strength training at the gym, it's a good workout to do if you want to stay fit but not loose weight necessarily. I don't think I lost any weight, but I did gain some muscle definition. I guess remember that most women also have to work like donkeys, learn and do things for themselves. It's a minority of women who are very thin, attractive, naturally confident and sociable, and choose to date someone with money who is generous towards them. I read your post and it doesn't really change anything, you said to not have sex because a man wouldn't marry you otherwise. There's no way to twist that, it means withhold sex to get marriage. Also, I assume men invented marriage because throughout history men have been the ones in charge of societies, implanting something new and revolutionary like marriage would only work if it was invented by the people in charge. I don't know how you reached this conclusion. But if you're already doing all the things without the home structure that is marriage, why build that structure altogether? Especially since it's a bunch of rules, restrictions and entanglements! This comment is how I reached that conclusion. We were talking about sex, so in the context of our conversation you must have meant if you're already having sex and doing other things married people do, why bother getting married? If marriage is the creation of a home, there are clearly defined walls to the home. I guess that's your view of marriage, my view is more like the house is being built throughout the relationship, and then marriage is an extra step. So there can be significant intimacy throughout the relationship that builds, it doesn't have to come in only after you're married, if that makes sense. Question: if you already have this before marriage, what will be added to your relationship by getting married? I've always viewed marriage as kind of cementing your relationship, because you are publicly declaring that you want to be with that person forever. My thoughts change a lot though. I'm just wondering, do you not think any sex outside of marriage can be sacred/helping to build the intimacy? There is a big difference between having sex with someone you've been with for a few years, but not married yet, and having sex with multiple people you don't know well just for fun.

The researcher and doctor who supplied all the information in the article is male, I highly doubt this is 'female propaganda'. You also haven't linked any papers for your claims that this article is false. It could be you've just taken this the wrong way, lots of men don't like learning that girls develop faster/have longer attention spans. The article never implied the way boys learn and develop is wrong, just that it's different and that's why education should change.

If this is all true, it makes me support separate education, atleast in the early years. I'm not sure how you can educate three year old boys and girls at the same time if the girls on average have double the attention span, that's going to change things massively.

This doesn't have to be black and white, as in you either completely neglect your children or your spouse. Like I could say the same thing back, your relationship with your children will be lifelong, what kind of relationship do you want it to be? I don't think it's good for a man to expect to be the center of the universe either, I would feel quite strange if a man expected to be more important to me than my children, I would definitely see it as narcissistic and immature. I think it does subconsciously. I think a woman that sleeps around a lot - she doesn't like being alone. She can't be alone with her own thoughts. Major daddy issues. She probably can't trust herself, and has confidence issues. You can't know any of this for sure, unless you know the women well there's no way you'd know exactly why they sleep with lots of men. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say >1 equals an impulsivity problem, like how you wouldn't say someone is an alcoholic because they have more than one glass of wine a week. Really I think it's more reasonable to say if it's >5, but even then you can't know impulsivity is the reason.

This sounds like it's coming from insecurity since he doesn't work. You said you're in your third year, so if there's were long standing views he wouldn't have gotten involved with you in the first place. Stupid to choose someone going into medicine then complain about it.

Is this bot a joke or something? 'no difference between a trans man and biological man'?

The radical feminist subs were banned because of hate speech against men, the radical feminist subs were about men and the gender critical sub was about trans stuff. You're right that trans is protected above all else though. So women on reddit can't get away with saying anything, it seems like the rules are mostly applied objectively. Which is probably why manosphere subs are still up, since they're following the rules as you say. You can't ignore the earned reputation redpill/incel/mgtow has t…

I don't think it's just being female that means this sub is less likely to be targeted, it's also the behaviour of the men on other subs/communities. For example, I only had to scroll a couple of minutes on an incel forum to see a young man joking about abusing his cat, and other men joking about a teen girl who killed herself (calling her a roastie whore, that sort of thing). It's really not unusual to see them saying vile things, and I haven't seen that from any women here for the months that …

I agree the draft shouldn't be male only, but disagree women should be in combat specifically.

I didn't know only 25% of the men went to the front lines, now the position of sending women makes even less sense. The men here acknowledge women are significantly weaker, so advocating for them to be on the front lines seems sadistic. The other army would not send women either, so it would be an army of 50/50 men and women vs 100% men.

That makes much more sense to me, I think we should all have a responsibility to help in a war. I just don't understand lots of men here wanting women to be on the front lines specifically. I'll give this example to help explain fully: I'm 5ft and have a small frame, I don't think I'd be any help at all in a combat role, it would probably be difficult for me to even carry the things you need. I would probably just be a liability. However, I am studying a healthcare science degree right now, so I…

I'm noticing multiple comments here acknowledge women would be less effective as police officers because of the physical strength difference. How come no one in this sub acknowledges that's the same reason only men are drafted? You all seem to agree with the logic here that men should be police officers because men are a lot stronger/faster than women on average.

He might be using the 'I say it how it is' card when he's really just being an asshole. There was no reason to say any of those things to you, it would be like if you told him you wish he had a bigger dick. Men here might gaslight with 'that's just how men talk', but you'd have to be straight up dense to not realise you shouldn't say those things. It's definitely not too late to find someone else, is all I'm saying.

I guess an alternative would be describing rp views just without using the word redpill, because I think it has a lot of negative connotations. There shouldn't be anything wrong with saying you prefer your partner to make a lot of the decisions, unless the people you're talking to are intolerant of other views.
