That’s an assumption though, we don’t know this guy

Dating is about compromise though, you’ve gotta be willing to interact with someone to date them. I’m with you to an extent in that I’d happily organise a date for a week later and then barely interact for that time. But I’m also aware that a lot of people require more interaction than that and if you want to date seriously you gotta compromise. A little text interaction a day isn’t much, or a longer one every few days.

Not really lol and I’m the opposite of needy (aloof?), most people who messaged me wanted to text once a day to check in. It’s pretty normal behaviour and though I’d be fine texting once every week lol I’m happy to oblige someone who wants that much interaction. If they were wanting a phone call every day then I’d be telling them no.

Texting someone for 5 weeks before the first date is pretty damn rare though, usually I’d want to get a date sorted within a few days or move on.

Eh I think people just don’t know how to deal with someone who’s a bit clingy. If you know how to set boundaries it’s fine, if they ignore boundaries that’s an entire different issues. A lot of people aren’t capable of setting boundaries, freak out and run away.

That’s a stretch, he didn’t mention anything about unloading

None of those are slurs, everyone trying to claim they are on the receiving end of slurs and abuse is part of the problem.

People claim it’s evolution with zero evidence, never trust someone spouting evolutionary psychology on Reddit because there’s a 99.9% chance they’re just making it up.

Also in my 30s and hard disagree, I see hard workers getting nowhere while people who put in less than half the effort get promoted. As you get older it also becomes much more important to pace yourself and not overwork yourself for a boss that won’t appreciate it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/23 07:02 PM

Also hard work is easy to do ironically. Anyone can work hard doing something pointless or inefficient, while someone else works half as hard doing something more meaningful that benefits a lot more people. Why does the 1st person deserve a reward?

Also bisexual and I would say that’s not true, both sexes have a lot of issues- however for women we tend not to call them out on it

I’ve met a fair few women through bars/clubbing but it’s nowhere near as easy as OLD nowadays. You’ve got to remember most women who are out and about aren’t looking to meet someone and you don’t wanna come off as creepy. You can’t just go around hitting on everyone you see that’s attractive. If I was single I would probably be able to meet 5 single women of my age, through my large friendship group and clubs I attend. If those 5 ain’t compatible then your opportunities dry up, on OLD there’s wa…

Nuclear family is a recent term, we didn’t use to be organised into nuclear family units. An alternative into how we were organised is the extended family, which is still done in places like India. It’s not the same as a nuclear family as the extended family is part of the core family unit.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 05:22 PM
1

The term exists to differentiate from extended families, a nuclear family by definition cannot be an extended family or a more community oriented family.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 04:32 PM
1

Nuclear family is overrated imo. I think it’s our only option in modern society but raising kids was probably a lot easier as an extended family or as part of a community. Nowadays parents struggle to do it all alone.

Trad con values are worse for dating, it has strict gender roles so it forces people into situations that they are unhappy in. Of course because they are trad con they will smile through the pain, to pretend they are happy fulfilling their ideal role. I don’t think we are ever going back to that.

Nope sorry its obvious what beliefs motivate this preference. Doesn’t change their right to have it, but women who have it are holding up a red flag for me.

I think you’re incorrect if you actually think no governments are concerned by the shrinking population, many have displayed concern about it. The world population is rising this is not a myth, some countries are shrinking but not the world as a whole. I don’t think the media is the reason people are having fewer children. You do seem to agree with me to an extent.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 05:33 PM
1

You’re not being very clear at all, so you agree that we should be adapting to population decline rather than forcing population growth?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 04:58 PM
1

You seem to think that just because there are economic problems of population decline that that doesn’t mean there are problems with overpopulating the planet. We have to learn how to deal with a shrinking population, not keep a growing population forever.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 04:36 PM

What do whites have to do with it? No matter how much melanin is in the skin the planet is going to struggle to sustain 50 billion people living as we are.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 03:01 PM
2

You are agreeing with me, forcing people to keep having children to grow the population isn’t sustainable. I’m not depressed although it wouldn’t matter if I was and it’s not a doomsday, it’s a fact that if you keep a growing population the world will be overpopulated. That’s why it’s good that developed nations don’t have as many kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 01:16 PM

Yeah top off because of people having less kids

This is what scientists think, I sincerely hope you don’t dismiss an idea as fake just because MSM happens to do a report on it. You shouldn’t care so much about what MSM is doing.

You say this like long term goals are always better, but what if someone has a long term goal to sleep with 1000 people?

Overpopulation is a problem though, if population keeps growing well use up the planet resources.

Honestly I would be very disappointed in myself if I changed based on trying to please others. You should be someone you genuinely want to be, if that attracts a more niche type of person then so be it, you don’t have to go trawling through dozens of people attracted to you to find someone and if they are attracted to a fake then you probably won’t end up happy anyway.

I do wonder what these people do who change themselves to attract someone. Do they eventually revert back to their authentic selves or spend the rest of their lives keeping up some miserable fake facade?

No it can’t be denied that militarily they were immense and held a long period of influence over the peloponnese, an influence that then grew into Persia. They were the leaders of the military that defeated the Persians in the 5th century BC and then defeated the Athenian empire after that. Only the Athenians really competed with them for the Greek city state with the most power and strength, although Thebes also were able to later.

There are a lot more male bisexuals in the closet than female ones. It’s not that there are more female bisexuals it’s that women are more likely to be comfortable with being open about it.

I mean good luck to those people, if such things give “the ick” I don’t think there is anyone who would manage to avoid it. Eventually you have to reflect and think if it is genuinely worth discarding someone over

Well hopefully you’ll be happily married by then if that’s what you are looking for, if not maybe. Even in late 20s I can say that you do get more attention than early 20s if you look after yourself

That’s not the same though as simply having an active social life. My point was the same as yours, that guys do have to put in a lot of extra effort and deal with a lot of rejection to meet women irl. Otherwise some guy might read the comment above and think all he has to do is have an active social life and similar to women he will just happen to meet people who are interested or through friends. I’ve seen plenty of dudes do this and get nowhere with it for a long time. Whether it’s OLD or the …

Just because there’s a higher proportion than women does not mean most men want casual sex. There could be 10% of women and 20% of men, meaning 80% of men don’t look for it

I wouldn’t know about that as I’m in the U.K., here though people are more likely to meet someone in more urban areas than rural.

The problem with social circles is there is very limited choice. I’m in several large friendship groups and am in a sports club as well outside work, which is the maximum amount I could be involved in with the time I have. If I were single I would have a handful of people that I could meet through friends- I know this as my friends who are still single have asked us for help and gotten these results. Of those handful I would be lucky if a couple were into me, meaning I have to be into these 2 pe…

I mean it is biphobic, doesn’t mean you’re a bigot I would say is more internalised biphobia. Someone who is biphobic shouldn’t be dating bisexuals anyway so I don’t think people are advocating for you to force yourself to do something you don’t want to. Just might be worth bearing in mind that there is some internalised biphobia driving this preference.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/21 12:08 AM

I don’t think the aim is to force people to dating. In fact if someone is biphobic definitely they shouldn’t be dating bi people. That doesn’t change the fact they are biphobic though.
