A woman can get a sperm donation very easily. How would a man have their own biological kid outside of a sexual relationship? You could probably pay for a surrogate if you’re loaded enough, but the barrier to entry is much higher.

My anecdote is completely different. I know several divorced single moms that left the dating market entirely… like for decades now. To be clear, the majority of women get remarried (or at least try to), but I can think of 3 examples of the above for women, but 0 for men. Every divorced man I know reentered the dating market.

Could the nurses be “underpaid” because there’s simply so many of them? I’m guessing you’re young/don’t have much experience dating, but there is absolutely an expectation for women to look nice on a date that isn’t coffee/McDonalds. If two people are wearing affordable-but-nice clothing, the female version will cost more. If a woman is wearing affordable-but-nice makeup, she spent more on makeup than the guy because he spent $0 on makeup. They pay for shit too How do you mean? Google's average pay is $130k-$160k depending on experience. The average programmer salary is around $90k. Even if you compare Google pay to the average software engineer salary in California ($123k) it's higher. And of course that average is being dragged up by Google itself.
