Poor people have the most kids to temporaryily bring fulfillment to their life, to try and get more government assistance, to follow religious beliefs, or because they have abysmal sex education (I’m sure there are more reasons). As a person in my younger 20s, I agree they are prioritizing bullshit. A strong foundation of family is super important not only for a child’s development, but society at large.
