I was a teen like 10 years ago, and in my school the nice guys and nice girls were the majority. The only time either gender talked mad shit about each other was when they were generally shitty people (that we just didn't realize were actually shitty people at the time). The shitty people for guys and girls was about equal.

Considering how teenage boys talk about each other and talk shit to each other just as much as women do to other women, I feel like this is absolutely the case. There's lots of people that are assholes that will talk shit about anyone at all, but depending on their position and if they care what people think about them, they won't often voice it.

In Sudbury, Ontario, Canada there was a big push for women to be allowed to work in the mines. It was basically the heart of our economy, and it protected Sudbury from the economic bubble burst for a good decade. I think, at least in terms of some grittier jobs, it's all about how it's framed locally.

The crowd was to blame in that situation then, not the child. She was a fucking idiot, no doubt, especially with her false claims, but if you're afraid of a crowd, why would you pepper spray a child? Maybe that's just me, but it still seems like he was trying to win a confrontation more than protect himself. Discussing this purely from a 'use of force' situation. I've never been pepper sprayed, but I think everyone that gets a can should get sprayed themselves to know what it feels like.

I think the concern is that the probation was for something he should have been acquitted for? I mean, if I read this correctly, the girl lied about her age and the rape and he still has to deal with the legal repercussions of that.
