Absolutely divorce her while you have a way of not getting absolutely financially crushed. Oh man. Honestly it sounds like your staring down the barrel of a divorce from a narcassist. I can almost guarantee you will be served with either a protection order or restraining order just to give her an upper hand in the divorce and custody battle. I tried so hard for an amicable divorce and figured we could be civil afterwards as we had alot of friends in common. But she decided to start making false claims of domestic violence and I ended up having most of our friends, including her girlfriends, write statements to the court. Everyone said the same thing, that she was making it up to gain leverage in the divorce. Cost me and extra $80k. I'm no longer willing to ever communicate with that narcassist again.

As difficult as it is the thing that can make you go broke is fighting it. If she is willing to walk away financially than get the divorce finalized asap while she's in the mindset of not taking everything. Not all women will destroy you but every woman can destroy you.

The most likely rage that you will experience is a restraining order or a protection order. This will be easy for her to get started, cheap for her to do, and it will kick you out of the house and seperate you from your kids. I am able now that I got the protection order thrown out. I'm considering filing a restraining order or maybe a defamation of character suit because she's posted nasty lies on social media saying how she needed to file because of domestic abuse. Which is all a lie, I filed for divorce because she was unfaithful. You think there's anything to be gained by filing a defamation lawsuit?

Thats the main thing I think as well. She's always been a controlling person. Is there anyway to put the pressure on her though? I mean I've been on the fence about going after her business but I know the value is pretty close to what my retirement is so it's kinda a lost cause that would just result in more legal fees.

She had a 1.5 year affair that started a few months after our wedding. It was the second affair she had. I know, I'm not too bright for marrying her. Correct. We have a deal reached exclusively through text message at this point. We have the order drafted up and ready to sign, have gotten about 5 text messages saying she was going to sign in a few days but the ultimately never does.

Were both moved out of it and it took alot of effort to get her out already. So we're gonna go through with the sale and divide that asset 50/50 since there's no divorce order signed by here. She may be able to make a claim at a small portion of my retirement but that would open the door to me going after her business as well which I know she doesn't want to happen.

She has an attorney who has drafted up some documents for her but every time we go to court she doesn't have one representing her. I'm a little concerned she's going to wait until the house sells and take her half of the proceeds and try to then go after my 401k. She does have a business that is worth nearly identically to what the marital portion of my 401k is. We also already agreed over texts to her leaving my 401k alone if I give her the 55% of the house.

Same with my ex. I get screenshot of her in female facebooks and instagram accounts saying she had to filrnfor divorce because she a victim of domestic violence. Which all of that I'd untrue, I filed for divorce because she was unfaithful over and over. I think she has narcissistic personality disorder.
