It is critically important but it wasn't a constant issue. This is just going in circles, this is all stuff you can look up.

You're talking about material abundance, I'm talking about available social supports.

Farming was a nutritional downgrade: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3917328/?utm_source=chatgpt.com Obesity isn't caused by abundance. I can eat all I want right now, and I'm still not fat because I don't have the instinct for it. I share that with most of the world outside the US. People eat garbage and they don't exercise.

Peasants aren't prehistoric by definition. Early farming societies dealt with starvation on the scale you're talking about, but that was 8,000 years ago, not 50,000. But yes, infant mortality, disease, and injury risks were higher. That still doesn't speak to your earlier point because it wasn't usually impoverished or solitary.

The Hobbesian idea that life back then was "nasty, brutish, and short" turns out to not be true. If you could make it past infancy the world was an abundant place.

I think it was far, far easier in prehistoric times. It wouldn't look like a lone woman dressed in furs clutching a baby to her chest, running from a sabre tooth tiger. Community bonds were very strong, and people would live closely with extended family. Because of how dependent every one was on each other for survival, it usually breeds a very cooperative environment. Any woman who was a single mother could likely expect a lot of support. It's in a modern context that single motherhood is more …

You say that but when he goes shirtless is public I bet he's constantly turning heads. Whether it's personally attractive is one thing but it's definitely attention grabbing, at least.

Dunno about that pic. 5 - 9 guy looks more like 15-18% by DEXA. He doesn't even have lower abs. 10-14 is probably closer to 20%

If the Epstein scandal taught us anything it's that prostitution is huge among the incredibly wealthy. They might not be marrying models, but they are fucking them.

I had some odd experiences that in retrospect I can say now wasn't justifiable on the teachers end. One example was that when I was in grade 6 I had a friend tag me in capture the flag and in a moment of frustration I kicked him in the leg. Things seemed fine for him but a few days later he came to school in a cast. It must have been a micro fracture but severe enough to warrant a cast. One teacher took the opportunity to spend one hour and 45 minutes singling me out in class, at one point she s…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 11:08 PM

I think it is genetic. In theory if it could be trained it would take a lot of will power because the discomfort from pushing through is pretty damn high.

He didn't phrase that very diplomatically but there's a point there. There are absolutely women teachers who are agenda driven to raise boys "right", and to those teachers that looks like "discouraging" certain behaviours using shame or guilt. These women aren't correct in their assessment of the issue or in their approach to handling it, but they have a disproportionate level of power in those boys lives and the end effect is not positive.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 09:25 PM

The debate has long been between tits and ass, but society has ignored the real best part of a woman's body: her asshole. It's both visually stunning, and also kind of funny, considering. I think it's the intimacy of it. If you're seeing a chicks asshole then she's not just naked. There's no way to see it that doesn't involve her showing it to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 09:56 AM

My understanding is that AI (or a generative model, which is not really "AI") never uses existing images. It always creates original work based on most likely patterns, which it learns from its training data.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 05:02 AM

I thought that was because we here in the developed world hadn't yet fully granted women the ability to economically function independently. You needed a husbands signature to open a bank account in 1960, which is wild when you think about it. I'd really like to know why every significant society in world history limited women's economic and social participation to some degree until very recently.

It is kind of a brutal force of natural selection because the stronger a guy is the likelier he is to survive. Just in terms of statistics across large populations because a lot of good people would still die.

315/225/405 squat bench deadlift, 21 min 5k. If you can lift that you won't be skinny, and if you can run that you won't be fat. Add vanity work like curls/etc to fill in gaps that compound movements don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 06:34 PM

As someone who values fitness this is actually offensive.

That's such a slippery definition of consent though. It would be really hard to justify because there has to be a clear line. If a guy lies about his job and she otherwise wouldn't have slept with him, is that assault? If a transwoman doesn't tell their partner they're trans, is that assault? Maybe it could be extended to anything that causes bodily harm. I'm pretty sure it is illegal to not disclose that you have aids but herpes isn't deadly. It's just itchy.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 06:28 AM

You're using BMI, which is a metric designed for population level analysis and applying it to lean men who lift weights seriously. The fact of that makes them outliers, and BMI is misleading at that point. 22 BMI for the average man doesn't look like what you posted, because the average man doesn't exericise and is going to sit around 20% body fat. Guarantee 95%+ of the men in that study were out of shape, and most 26 BMI guys had the muscle mass of 22 guy here at best.

Why not maneuver for hookups instead of dates? More fun in the messaging stage, usually cheaper, and less time wasted on women who are just in some "why not" mindset for a date.

You're saying "cocaine" like the word alone has so much gravity it makes your point for you. Lots of successful people do cocaine.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/25 12:13 AM

At least you know you're getting it. My grandparents sat on millions into retirement, but my grandmother has been making direct and indirect statements about how she doesn't feel kids should get anything for decades. Asking about it is completely taboo.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 09:41 PM

Yes, because it just fucks up my algorithm and wastes limited swipes otherwise. I'd rather a curated selection of women I have a shot with.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 09:34 PM

I wouldn't call a superiority complex self-esteem. Self-esteem is a stable, a superiority complex is reactive and fragile.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 09:14 AM

You're talking about Outlier AI? There are more flexible platforms. I know of one where the assessment is a few hours and then you just work whenever you want if you get in. 20-30 USD/hour, 40/hour if you can code (the coding assessment is not hard but the projects can be).
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 05:03 AM

There are platforms these days that are AI related and easy to get into if you're smart. 15/hr all the way to 60/hr and you can apply online, no interview, just taking an assessment.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 04:49 AM

Does anyone else get really turned on by crazy women? Like full on delusional, drug addicted, etc. They're just such rock bottom messes there's something real and immediate about being with them. Very unpretentious.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 01:22 PM

There has to be a word in psychology for the way she kept spamming "sorry" after pulling whatever that was.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 09:31 AM

I hadn't been with anyone for a year and a half and when I did I realized I'd forgotten how to kiss, basically. I thought it would be like riding a bike but the second our lips hit I realized this was going to be a little awkward. After we were all done I saw her looking at me kind of hard, questioningly, like she wasn't sure about me. I never ended up seeing her again. I don't know what the moral of that story is. Without an LTR it's been hard to get enough "practice".
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 02:50 AM

AA is odd. It seems like it's often just an opportunity to have the floor and give a speech. It's very self-focused, at least. There's no discussion about getting involved with community, therapy, self-improvement, whatever, it's just people "sharing what's on their mind" ie monologuing about themselves and their thoughts. There is sponsorship, etc, but I never saw how sitting in a room doing that is supposed to make me not want to drink. Usually going to an AA meeting does the opposite.

I would go someplace, outside my home, where alcohol isn't available and stay there instead. Preferably someplace where I could do something engaging and stay out of my head. It sounds like your drinking it tied to routine and a familiar location. Get away from all that and you might not even think about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/25 04:25 AM

What if he saw the child in the bears path and tried to distract it while they moved past. Predatory animals are fond of children.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 11:35 PM

Why would a guy no longer being able to use his dick enhance the sexual act?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 10:24 AM

What advantages do you feel you would have being strong? I've been lifting weights for 17 years and hit some decent numbers and in retrospect besides being unbothered by antagonists and occasionally getting laid it's never been that much of an advantage.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 09:36 AM

In fairness, you don't know the kind of man you'd be. Some men are temperamentally passive and you'd might be one, and there's no "encouragement" so much as a system of reward/punishment.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 01:23 AM

if I'm going to be ugly/short dick/broke as a guy I'd choose the female equivalent instead. If I was going to be hot/hung/rich I'd choose man.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 01:14 AM

Attractive people are harder to lock down. When you want something stable and long term you'll probably have to compromise a bit if you're not one of the lucky ones. You wouldn't be having existential angst if a guy posted about seeing a photo of a woman he fucked in the past and thinking that his current girl friend wasn't quite as fat in the ass or thin in the waist.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 12:05 AM

I'm not sure I see your issue here. You don't appreciate women's bodies and you want them to cover up? You think they're degrading themselves by showing skin? Those aren't Western ideas.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 12:02 AM

Are you Indian and/or Muslim, my friend?

Not really a fair comparison. If a guy decides he's not going to take a woman out again after realizing he won't be getting sex, no one's bothered with that really. If a guy decides mid date to not pay, when it was implied he would before hand, that's different.

What about a hooker right after you hand her the cash?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 09:02 AM

It's that simple. It's not that easy. There's a strong emotional and psychological component to weight loss. Most people can't overcome their vices, whatever they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 08:52 AM

1650's had a far lesser divorce rate than today, because it was illegal and considered against god. Does not relate to marital happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 08:25 AM

EDIT: I realized after posting that this doesn't fit your comment but I'm going to leave it up Because I think a free market economy encourages innovation and ultimately benefits society more. What you have is a kind of sexual communism. I think when women (and men) are free to make their own choices, and both are required to compete on the basis of what they're truly able to offer as individuals, things progress faster and better. This might not be fair comparison because there are many factors…

I live in a city of 107,000 people and here I would say anywhere from 0 to 107,000
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 04:34 AM

You met this woman and slept with her, all within a few hours of landing. She apparently had no interest in getting to know you or even really speaking. She complained through all the sex. I'm trying to figure out why she did this

/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/25 10:04 AM

Look at a before and after picture of a guy who shaves his head. Does he not look more masculine? I've never seen a shaved head and thought "looks like a girl now."
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/25 01:18 AM

I think it's a very clumsy rehash of Nietzsche's idea of slave morality with a sprinkling of "no more mister nice guy". Being nice isn't rewarded -> people who complain about mean people are just pussies -> they can be dismissed. Basically
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/25 01:12 AM

"It's not about how much you can lift, it's about how much you look like you can lift." The right shoulder muscle insertions are "right" because they're mechanically advantageous in comparison. Even if their performance isn't the same at that moment, better insertions guy has an edge over the long span of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/25 01:02 AM

Isn't this a human thing? Surely there are women who you would date that you find more attractive than others. It's not a happy thought but it's not some kind of betrayal.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 09:56 PM

What does it mean when you match with someone, they say we should meet, you suggest your place, they suggest tonight, you can't do tonight, then they go non-committal on another date with "I'm busy with school but I'll let you know"?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 03:23 AM

I'm sure there's more to that story than "he was stressed."
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 06:21 PM

Kind of. A runners high to me feels like a mild dose of codeine without the euphoria. Harder ones like heroin or fentanyl are similar on a very base level but at the same time very different and a lot more intense.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 05:48 PM

Yeah, they'll basically die before they spell it out for you lol. But if it works with one, I find it works with all of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 08:14 AM

I mean, they all need it on some level. You'd want to sprinkle it into most of your time together. You don't have to wait for a sign but if you're not doing it enough I've seen them get visibly bothered and then it's relationship threatening.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 07:57 AM

I trend somewhat in this direction, and IMO, you absolutely need to recognise when she needs more dominance and learn how to give it to her. Otherwise she'll be cranky. Ironically, that's how to make her happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 07:31 AM

It's fucked up, and I know you're probably joking, but this is absolutely true. Drugs and alcohol will give you more personality and it's that simple. When I date I drink more heavily. It's not ideal, but I'm accepting it. I'm thinking of introducing occasional methamphetamine and seeing what happens. Opiates make me a lot bolder socially, but they have the downside of too frequently almost killing me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 07:09 AM

I think no doctor would be willing to prescribe that, ethically. We do, however, live in a world where a little Internet knowledge or social engineering would make it pretty easy to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 06:45 AM

Probably the guy who sends her head into a tizzy
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 01:37 AM

It's true. Being fat makes you look younger. I heard once about women having to choose between their ass and their face at some age, and I think that's what that means.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 11:56 AM

"Do you like Ben, or are you shallow?"
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:59 AM

Someone you just met (especially someone you just met) should not be making you feel this way. This is a huge red flag.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:58 AM

Now that I think about it, I didn't use to feel this way. My ex used subtle comparisons/negative assessments with other men as a weapon of war/psychological battering ram and since we've broken up I've been interested in sleeping with poly/married women.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 01:40 AM

If I genuinely lived inside that reality I'd imagine my instincts would push me very strongly in that direction. If I was me, today, and learned that anyone I mated with would decapitate and eat me I'm sure I'd shy away from the whole thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 01:27 AM

I don't have problems with poly relationships on dating apps in theory but never have I come across this particular match where the reality of it was so vivid and sober. I matched with her on tinder, she's alright, and as I get to the last two pictures it's her and her boyfriend in intimate poses. I don't remember ever seeing the boyfriend. I don't want to see that, it's repulsive. Like, genuinely stomach turning. In contrast, an actually single woman is like cool, clean drinking water or a fres…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 01:23 AM

It's wild to think about. Every generation pre-1970 had some major war young men would be drafted into going back hundreds if not thousands of years.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 12:16 AM

I think the colonisation and genocide were worse. Or at least as bad as this.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 11:25 PM

Definitely not. Structurally, much less resilient. I don't know if this is true, but I think most conventionally masculine features relate to taking hits to the head well.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 11:23 PM

Absolutely not. Lying is one of the kindest things you can do for a woman. The thing is, in her mind, she has this idea of how things need to be in order for her to let go and be happy. By lying, you free her of these self-imposed constraints on her own happiness, and you give her permission to live in the moment and feel real joy. It's kindness.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 07:01 AM

I've been there. A couple of solutions: go for a long run, lift weights, drink water, take kratom.
