Men are a riskier strategy and the payoff is higher or lower than women and we provide the genetic diversity and innovation in the species. Fair enough, india is as you say and it gets a lot of heat even though its much worse in africa for example. My experience in South America was also eye opening and I think this is common in the middle east too. Nevertheless, it is unwise to be in a compromising situation in a third world country, and india clearly qualifies as that.

People see how western women are treated. I have backpakced in india around 6 or seven times, max was 2 months. White women will have so many guys ask for pictures or take without their permission. At the beach it's a crowd. My other friend was gang raped there and spent 2 weeks in hospital. I have to be honest I would never recommend a woman goes there alone.
