The WHO is an organization that gives advice to countries on how to handle the pandemic. Their advice, especially at the start of the pandemic, was not on point and resulted in a lot more cases worldwide.

Thanks for double checking, I was a bit negligent on that part. Men's mortality has dropped by about 1,8% and women's by around 1,2%. Still can't belive that the life expectancy is only 74,5 years for men in the USA.

Good point, I don't really think this post qualifies as men's rights as it involves both the rights of men and women. edit: (I was negligent on that part and did not read the statistics, men's mortality dropped more sharply then women's mortality by around 0.6%)

Yeah, I agree, I shouldn't have responded so harshly. I normally don't encounter any people here that are not totally one-sided. People here are don't respond well to any different opinion. It is pretty rare to find people that actually know how statistics work and can think critically, especially on this sub.

I agree that those things are a lot more nuanced then those statistics show. MRA can sometimes be somewhat of an echo chamber, it is pretty hard to find a relatively nuanced opinion online. Especially because nuanced threads don't have a lot of emotional appeal. I appreciate that you put some counterarguments on this thread, it is appreciated (although not by the wider community). Well, correlation doesn't mean causation, and although I personally don't like to say it, you are right to call people out for that common misconception. Explaining a difference in a statistic away by attributing the big difference in that statistic to only one factor is really ill informed on your part. Please learn how to read statistics.

Depends on your take on marriage. If you think about you as part of a team/family, then it is only logical to make sure that you divide funds in a way to reflect that.

I'm just happy that the market is free. If some woke bank decides that a pink tax would be a really good idea, then they will probably lose half of their costumer base. edit: forgot the verb lose in the sentence.

maybe it helps to think about to think about her situation as her being part of some religion. It is almost impossible to convince someone who has recently converted to abandon their believes. I don't think you'll be able to convince her of the danger of the girl, especially if she perceives you as an enemy/oppressor.

Make sure that you get some help for your suicidal thoughts. That's the most important thing. Then move out, she sounds like she is like a poison to you. It is important that you make sure that you survive it. If you don't want debt, then maybe you can move in with your grandparents and help them around the house. edit: if you want to do any legal stuff, then hire a lawyer.

it is always nice that universities do the stuff that really matters. Hiring more woman is clearly more important then doing any actual research. It is always nice to see that the quality of your work is based on your gender. (note, wondering if it would be possible to sue them for discrimination against non-binary people, cause that would be hilarious)

lol, article 1 of the dutch constitution states that all individuals that are in the netherlands should recieve equal treatment in equal circumstances. Discrimination based on race, GENDER, political believe, ..., is not allowed.

I think people that falsely accuse other people of rape should get a higher sentence, given that the allegation is proven to be false.
