Funny enough I’m not even from the uk but Ik if this ministry happens it will be a trickle effect around the globe causing other countries to launch their own ministry or commission for boys and men. I too want global improvement. If it fails idk what happens you’ll have to ask a British person but hopefully that doesn’t happen and the UK starts to lead the way in egalitarianism.

No they didn’t. They didn’t have choice. They were mandatorily conscripted. How can you be this stupid ? Back in the day men had less freedom to select their purpose than they do today. We still barely have rights but quality of life is better today than the past due to things like technology, development, etc.
/r/MensRights04/04/24 01:41 AM

People lacking purpose has ways been an issue it’s just not in everyone’s face thanks to the media (social media included). And yes that is your logic you basically said the past is worse so today isn’t that bad. That’s when at you’re saying when you said we need to teach about the past although that is already done in schools. we learn about all the wars and plagues in school it doesn’t change that today is bad. Also no one made going to war their purpose you idiot they literally didn’t have a …

No man keep your standards. Everyone’s got different standards and it’s definitely not too much to ask your partner to bring to the table what you’re bringing to the table. In your case you’re looking for someone who values purity (exactly) as much as you do and there’s nothing wrong with that (especially because you’re walking the walk not talking to talk). Good luck buddy.

So because the past was potentially worse then today isn’t bad? Great logic there. Also going to war isn’t a purpose buddy. Going to war is fulfilling the goals of our war hungry government and to fill the pockets of those running the military industrial complex . War kills men it does nothing for us.

80% of men who committed suicide were seeking treatment in the form of medication and therapy before committing suicide. 60% of which had a diagnosis prior to their death. 57% had suffered economic adversity. 52% were facing physical health conditions. 91% had contact with a front line service or agency. https://youtu.be/Sidj3hqGwbE?si=DMyMh-XV2QHTOPta https://documents.manchester.ac.uk/display.aspx?DocID=55305 Most male suicides in U.S. show no link to mental health issues, study reveals https:…

Bro it’s 2024 and they’re now catching on? I went to therapy in college because I was in a relationship with an abusive woman. Not once did the therapist acknowledge I was getting abused in fact he victim blamed me then told me I’m codependent which is a fuckin relationship dynamic. Therapy is literally so outdated and anti male it’s insane. I only ended up getting proper help from a support group and after some time I eventually found a better therapist.

Guys everyone grab a freakin violin and flute and let’s go show these bitches what we got. They take our pianos we take both their flutes and violins. On a serious note tho this is definitely a double standard crazy how men succeeding at something isn’t celebrated. At a minimum they should address the gender gap in violin and flute competitions. It goes both ways or no way.

I’m Guyanese from the Caribbean. I just saw this article and wanted to share it. Needless to say, Guyana has its own issues that affect men. We have the second highest suicide rate in the world 80% of which are men, male victims of dmv aren’t recognized, and the average age someone consumes alcohol here is 9 years old so we have a serious alcoholism crisis. There’s also extreme poverty.

Appreciate you admitting you don’t know much about American law. Firstly I said nothing about paper abortion and I don’t understand what McDonalds has to do with this but men do deserve a choice to choose not to be a father. If the woman doesn’t want to abort she can raise the child on her own with the many government programs for single mothers. It’s insane that you even make the argument about someone being old enough to have sex is old enough to consent to having a child. I hope you realize t…

/r/MensRights25/03/24 06:16 PM

Our current domestic violence laws are built on the power and Duluth model which always assumes men are the abuser. Quiet simply the model the law is build on is sexist. Rape is defined as only a penetrative act while millions of men fall victim to made to penetrate rape yet these victims aren’t recognized at all. Most male victims of MTP rape are drugged and passed out while made to penetrate women.

Seems like we agree that parents need to take responsibility and corporations as well. I saw You Tube recently made YouTube kids and that’s a good starts. Yeah im a 2000s kid that shit was vile man. Had access to way too much shit at a young age. I didn’t have an iPhone but we had computer class and the kids always found ways to get around the protections.
/r/MensRights25/03/24 01:00 PM

Oh of course I agree with that but I just want to acknowledge that even the parents who are responsible can’t protect you from the world. There’s only so much they can do and there’s so much out of their control.

Parents wouldn’t hand you all of that stuff but the kids still have access to it at varying ages. That is simply out of their control. You could be the best dad in the world if your kid drinks alcohol at 13 because he was pure pressured by some bad friends is that the dads fault ?
/r/MensRights25/03/24 12:23 AM
3

How exactly is that my parents fault. You think my parents are in control of what happens when I’m not around them ? I was first exposed to it by other kids at school who had iPhones. This response is very ignorant. Parents cannot protect their child from everything in the world it’s simply impossible. They can’t be there 24/7 and they can’t control things that are simply out of their control My parents are assholes but this was way beyond them.

A lot of feminist literature advocates for starting a matriarchy. Feminism is about female dominance. Okay what about feminism advocating for gendered based laws around rape, dmv, and a biased family court? All of that hurt men all across América to this day.

Agreed. My biggest realization about this was in therapy. My therapist asked me. Do you think you were born with this insecurity and I said no not at all. He then said when did it start I said like around childhood a little but got exponentially worse as I got older. And then he said do you see how you were taught to be insecure about this and there once was a time where you weren’t insecure at all.
/r/MensRights22/03/24 04:09 PM

Absolutely insane imagine making fun of someone for something out of their control. I was never insecure about my height b/c 5’8 isn’t that bad but you get made fun of and picked at so much over time you eventually become insecure.

I’m against both sides as I said one wants to chop off my manhood and the other wants me to get married under unequal conditions and die in war. Both sides are corrupt. I’m fully aware of VAWA I will look further into who voted for and against it.

Um we never had a mens movement so how could we have possible had it better? Even before women could vote they had a better life staying home with kids rather than working away your life like a walking ATM i‘ll take that any day of the week. The women’s movement never advocated for equality Professor Janice Fiamengo has dug into the documents on YouTube and shared her findings. Wow. I’m genuinely shocked this is great. I can’t even name the number of women who’ve slandered men via social media. It’s insane. I personally have experienced this. Good to see some Justice. This is definitely progress. President Milei squashing the center for women definitely showed people he’s done with the anti male agenda.

Thanks for sharing man and it seems you’ve gotten better and that’s great. The thing is I’ve tried to find survivor group via 1in6 and male survivor and even men’s group. So can’t they still do that and have 50/50 default custody? That would mean they just don’t want to have 50/50 custody. And not having 50/50 custody is screwing over society so much especially men. It’s crazy that these simple fixes aren’t made. It’s not even like they don’t know the solution they do. They just not fixing it.

I’m 22 I’ve been falsely accused of rape twice (once at 16 and once at 22). I had an abusive mom and dad. My sister was abusive as well. When I say abuse I mean my mom tried to strangle me to death once. I’m pretty lucky considering I made it to 22, unfortunately due to childhood trauma tho I was kinda destined to fail. I would go on to be sexually abused twice lost my virginity to rape by a woman (sister was involved in this don’t ask). This first case of rape happened at 16 and the abuser was …

For sure but in reality rapes very traumatic and male victims of rape are 14x more likely to kill themselves. Now imagine paying your rapist child support on top of the rape trauma. Hence the bridge

I’ll be honest and say you can’t give proper consent while you’re drunk. I think everyone knows that. The real problem here is he’s get charged for rape while he didn’t consent either.

I’m sorry about your rape. I too was a victim of sexual abuse. A woman raped me at 16 and I’ve been assaulted many times (insane how many people especially women can’t keep their hands to themselves). Women actually rape a lot of men check out this link. https://www.saveservices.org/2021/04/pr-cdc-says-men-are-half-of-all-victims-of-sexual-violence/ Men make up half of the sexual abuse pool and women are actually way more likely to sexually abuse men than another man is (female on male abuse is …

I think these women should at least be put on a public list (similar to pedophiles) for false accusations. If they did it once and got away with it what’s to stop them from doing it again.

Okay I read about half way and stopped but let me just say. Yes the dmv laws are out dated. A majority of advocacy groups have already done studies and found that most dmv abusers have mental illnesses. Of course this doesn’t mean all abusers have a mental illness but it is likely. To the point about mental illnesses due to how we’re socialized a women with BPD may have some different abusive tendencies than a man with bpd but even if it’s psychological abuse or physical abuse men are actually m…

A woman stabbed a man in the leg in England with a bread knife (don’t be mistaken a bread knife is not a butter knife it has sharp ridges and it’s huge). The judge didn’t want to mess up her studies as she was studying to be a doctor so she got probation as well. Why would I want an abusive person for a doctor? I’ve been falsely accused of SA twice. Once at 16 and another time at 22. Crazy part is I was a victim of rape when I was 15, the false SA accusation case when I was 16 I didn’t even know her she went to a completely different high school, and at 22 it was a girlfriend who turned out to have BPD. This shit just isn’t fair man.

Yep and it still happens today. https://youtu.be/8zYBmsP6fes?si=K537Dq-LvimvU16N The marshal project did a video on SA and grooming in the American prison system.
