I try to be nice to everyone, if they don’t appreciate it all I feel is pity. It’s a rough way to live life.

Ignoring all the rest - Why did they think there was a problem because he was asleep and not answering his phone at 12:15AM? After what was likely a tiring interview ending at 8PM? Who jumps to that conclusion?

It takes quite a lot to fill Kevin Samuel's shoes as a man. You couldn't dismiss his personality and background and intelligence. He couldn't be dismissed as an incel, and the majority of what he said was based in easy to research history. Honestly I don't mind seeing women. I see it as a sign it's becoming more of a mainstream opinion. Karen Straughan is one of the most vocal and has been forever, and I'd argue she's done wonders.

I always struggle with this question, because I can give a wildly different answer depending on the topic. E.g. I will swing way farther left when talking about primary health care provisioning than when talking about bail reform or gun control

That’s what I said - though in a jury hearing there are sides, prosecution and defence. So in that case hers is the side that should win.

If you have undeniable proof they lied, undisputed by a jury, then they need the book thrown at them. You want to be VERY careful not to ever accidentally fine/imprison a woman wrongly for this matter, but it absolutely needs to be a deterrent. So in the instances where there's reasonable doubt, you'd always want to take her side, but when there's undisputed proof..... an example must be made.

Research this hard or keep silent. The moment you don't know an answer to somebody trying to rebuff your argument, they'll take it as proof you have no idea what you're talking about. You're in an uphill battle. Best of luck to you. (Peterson had a good discussion about patriarchy with that GQ interviewer on youtube)

Edit: The part in quotes isn’t what I believe….. it’s answering the question OP asked. In my mind you can summarize the logic easily as such:"If you're not interested in having women in your life, it must be because you hate women. People who hate women are more likely to cause harm to women."

Yup. It’s because each party is scared to edit the charter of rights, because if they do, the next party will be able to make it a political point and change it again back and forth into perpetuity. So they’ve left the gaping hole of legislation the Supreme Court wanted fixed but didn’t mandate fixed (in Canada the courts can compel the feds to make a law solving an open question, such as the right to die legislation) Because of that lack of legislation, it’s treated as any other medical procedu…

As much as the downvotes show the disagreement in principle, you're correct legally. You can't escalate and expect to have a good day in court. You calm down, and get her charged and escorted from the premises.

The only thing I'd add, is don't get a lawyer anyone you know knows. Edit - If you're in a small town, maybe make a trip to a bigger one that has a major firm. Get advice there. Even if it costs 500 bucks just to talk to them, it's money well spent.

I am aware of the bias. The thing is that they have more people pushing for it, in trusted positions, and have the backing of mainstream narratives. My point was to get yourself into a trusted position, and work to change the culture. Submit info to related areas that are not locked. Just because that one definition is lost doesn’t mean it’s hopeless. That’s what I thought the point of this sub was. Fight to show we are worth something.

I mean, technically that is a crop control term, so it makes sense to keep it in. If you want it to have more coverage, you could do research and submit small changes (so they're easier to approve) and develop a proper history. Edit: to the downvotes - thanks, I needed help to squash that bit of hope I had. Pesky thing keeps bubbling up.

/r/MensRights02/04/22 05:59 PM

That’s a good way to put it. It gives off an almost “I’m better than they are because I had the other experience and know they are just lacking, but don’t know what they’re lacking because they never had it” vibe.

I was partially with them right up until the end where I was like, where Tf did you lead up to THAT conclusion. It’s so out of left field. Men are “intimate” through speech and actions more than touch and hugs, and generally only in male spaces or spaces where it’s acceptable. Though placing myself in their shoes I can understand why that would be hard to understand as somebody new to it.

There is a lot of talk about men and emotions, or people talking about men not sharing emotions being drivers of violence and suicide… I think it needs to be ok for a man to share, or not to share. Some men take solace in stoicism (the classic Marcus Aurelius type) and that should be ok too. I must say in my life, the majority of people who have ever shut down any display of my emotion, or discussion of feelings, has been women. Which drove me to embrace stoic philosophies, and garner a group of…

That’s mostly because the industry is chosen by men at a > 90% rate. I would argue it isn’t a gender issue, it’s a software industry, primarily gaming development industry issue. The argument boils down to: “If women chose software development at the same rate as men, would they still have the issue. Yes”

My friend and I have given each other hoodies from our favourite bands or shows. And other random things like that. Never flowers. Feels too much like implying romance if it’s between dudes. If a woman gave it to me, it would just symbolize affection proportional to our current relationship. Not really sure, haven’t given it much thought as to why that is

They can be disappointed all they want, but the courts job is to make sure that the laws are being created properly, and are being followed. In this case, there was no law allowing that, so therefore, if you want it allowed it must be legislated. Hence the ruling saying to go legislate it if you want it. Courts are the wrong place to argue something that has no legislation. It's a place to argue existing legislation is being accurately applied.

This is a self perpetuation issue. She posted or joined TwoX. Reddit then suggests related subs that are a little further down the rabbit hole. She interacts with those -> Further down the rabbit hole. Now Reddit ONLY shows her that kind of content. Now since that's all she's exposed to, she thinks that's all there is. Social media algorithms being made by shitty programmers are the real problem.

I've never been kicked out. Most I can say is there was a bar that made drinks cost 14$ for men and 3$ for women, and one coffee shop that had half priced meals for women on a certain day of the week. Lots of clubs also have cheap or no tickets for women but charge for men. I think that's pretty much the entirety of my experience. I don't know what crazy place you live in.....

Pick random experiences, in your life going forward and in your past. Replay them in your mind but with the gender reversed. If what you see is still ok, then it’s probably ok. Edit: I do not understand the downvotes. This is a method to test if you’re treating people differently based on gender…which is what was requested

By accident yeah. Got a work call before I could reply/change it. The answer: no. I did not feel it wise to have my word go up against a gaggle of drunk women, who were so drunk she could barely manage to hit my face let alone damage me. I would have lost if the women decided to all coordinate a lie, which might have landed me in jail.

A friend of mine had a boy and didn’t want to get him circumcised at birth. The female doctor claimed he had phimosis because the glans was covered by the foreskin. They said there was no cure and he’d be in terrible pain if he wasn’t circumcised. He was a baby…. It’s normal.. I told her this and she looked sad but replied “nothing to be done now I guess”.

Nobody ever talks about the downside of the idea that sex is meaningless for men or “a net positive” It means rape/sexual harassment isn’t a thing thought to exist for men. You have children being groomed by female teachers and a subreddit of people talking about how it messed them up as adults, that people dismiss. I could keep going but I’m guessing I’d be preaching to the choir. Stop pointing out the positives if you’re not also willing to discuss the negatives that come with it.

His name is unpopular but right. It was a joke. Though if you keep in mind that women nowadays are having more sex than men, and more likely to have one night stands (the ones who are doing that) with the same men, the numbers make sense in that scenario. Also that wasn’t a conclusion, it was a hypothesis.

Her name is Betchy..... I think she accidentally swapped out a letter. The reason we don't like you "smart" women when you're near is because most of them are arrogant. Holding their degree's as part of their identity. Careful when talking about College or University around them, because if you say anything negative, you're attacking them as a person. She needs to find a group of friends older than her, some who already have kids. Pointing out the poor decisions that lead to this predicament is one thing, but few deserve to have no friends. She made a decision that means she can no longer relate to people her own age, and she won't be able to easily find someone to fill in the shoes of the baby daddy (As you all know). She needs to stop trying and focus on quality of life. Until she manages to do that, a vibrator goes a long way.

Whether people believe it is difficult or not, is up to them. I can't imagine anyone would debate you that it is serious though. Raising those that come after you is arguably the most serious. That's why people here often talk about fathers, families, and pair bonding; because the best way to do it is as a partnership, with both people taking it seriously. A lot of those dating/marriage advice posts could be solved by “Have you tried talking about some of your concerns with your wife/husband?” The fact talking through your issues rarely comes up just lends credence to you’re not asking for advice, you want permission. I'm not saying it wouldn't still lead to breakup, but usually it changes the narrative to lying and breaking trust vs the act itself. I.e. the thing you end up fighting about more. It also makes it harder to keep it as a friendship after if that's what you want since it just compounds the issues. (if your friend groups are intertwined for example)
