It seems to me that in practically every conflict or atrocity, not only are >90% of the military casualties male (often because of forced conscription), but most civilian victims are also male. It's that way in Gaza/Palestine, Congo, and other wars. It might be because civilian men tend to be disproportionately targeted and killed in massacres, like in Srebrenica or Rwanda.

Personally I would prefer equal retirement age for both sexes. I don't support higher retirement age for women on the basis of their longer life expectancy, for the same reason I don't support car insurance companies discriminating against men on the basis of them causing more road accidents. There is a local conflict in Ukraine with limited foreign involvement of the US and its European puppets, but nothing like WW2. Most of the world (except the US and its European "allies") doesn't care much about the Ukraine conflict.
