It is not only sex work. Many of them have the same issue with porn or even videogames. Just go to r/stopgaming and you will see the women complaining that their boyfriend is "addicted to videogames" and doesn't focus all his attention on her, as if they are entitled to be in the center of a person's emotional life. They simply don't want to have any sort of happiness or pleasure that doesn't involve them or that they can not gatekeep in some way.

Tbh, the only book that I found usefull is Models by Mark Manson. It is not too different, but ARC only talks about being direct, nothing about creating emotional connection and arousal. Being direct is okay, but you still need to create emotional connection. Sure, there is the occassional nymphomaniac who will fuck you right away, but they are few and far between.
