Entirely depends on the general personality of the friend group and the circles you run around. Big party friend groups do but chill close knit friend groups don’t IME. I don’t fuck my friends because I view them akin to family and I don’t fuck my family. All the guys and girls in my friend group have the same mindset. I’ve been friends with people who had no issue fucking their friends but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that those friend groups tended to be less stable/broke apart more often.

Probably like ~12 a week. I take my sweet time doing my hair and skin care routine and then I go to the gym for a couple of hours 2-3 times a week.

If he was trying to catch me while I’m also out with my friends at a bar then no I don’t think it’s weird, I’ve done it before when weve both knowN about a specific spot. If he’s directly asking to hang out with just me him and all his male friends then yes that’s a red flag and no I wouldn’t go.

I’m not not looking for a husband but it’s not on the top my list of life priorities right now. And personally I’ve had a pretty decent time meeting men who meet all/most of the points on the list for where I live.

I’m 24 and a woman I’m 5’6 and curvyish. I go to the gym, I have a job, a bachelors maybe getting a masters, and I don’t have kids. I’m okay financially but I still have student loan debt. Both men and women have stopped me in public to tell me I’m pretty once in a blue moon so I don’t think I’m ugly. easy going witty/funny honest financially stable doesn’t live with parents wide variety of interests involved with his family preferably in stem but not a dev 23-28 years old 5’9 and up not obscene…

With my ex, I’d always include him if we were going out and everyone else was bringing there SO or we throwing a party but for more lowkey close friends things like movie nights, no. I don’t really expect them to. I’m the one dating them, not my friends but I feel like it’s also normal for my friends to also request to meet each other’s partners early on in the relationship. Yes, I mind to a degree. Its fine to want to include your boyfriend in the group activities but there’s a limit. I have be…

No, I don’t nickel and dime my friends and family and vice versa, I wouldn’t do it the person I’m dating who I presume I’m supposed to like. I think doing things for the people you care for just because you expect something in return is tacky and unattractive. I like giving gifts to my friends/fam and taking them on trips and they do the same for me and we all do it because we enjoy seeing each other happy. There’s never any expectation of payback placed on it so I’m not gonna ruin the community…

In terms of men specifically I don’t think that these men are necessarily ugly. I think that women have a better understanding of their own beauty because we receive explicit criteria on how to be beautiful as well feedback (both wanted and unwanted, good and bad) from a young age. Like shit, one of the defining points of a chick-flick is the famous “makeover/glowup scene.” Men don’t usually grow up like that on top of that they don’t get the feedback and so they usually think they’re ugly even …

Bingo. I could totally see a woman asking a guy’s porn preference in an attempt to make a conversational pivot towards sex. Or they were just super into kink and wanted to know if OP might’ve been too. The phone grabbing feels like another version of girls stealing her crush’s hat/glasses and teasing him to get it.

Prior to me moving to a different city and covid, every other Friday night was a girls night out so it definitely happens at least in downtown areas/cities with good night life. It’s not usually just clubs though, sometimes we’d go bowling or chili’s or something. I also feel like brunch is more popular now so maybe people are favoring that more in some areas.

I use to think only men in my family sucked because I was sexually abused by my uncle at 6 plus my dad was never involved. I saw other kids who had good relationships with their dads and so I thought it was just a me thing. The full awareness came piece by piece throughout late childhood/adolescence as I saw women in my family or girls who were my friends get at best screwed over and at worst abused. I don’t necessarily straight up distrust all men, it’s more so a man has to give me a good reaso…

I totally agree. I think it’s normal to get annoyed with the other gender but holy shit there are some hateful crazies here. Certain people who come to this sub and other gender based subs have so much casual toxicity in their comments and ascribe such dramatic and sweeping generalizations to the other gender and then turn around and post and comment how the other gender doesn’t like them/they can’t find someone “good enough.” I have a hard time believing that some of their feelings don’t seep i…

A. Do you have any dating tips for the same or opposite sex? Go in with an open mindset. Come prepared with like 5 good open ended questions with segues into them and related stories if your not good at shooting the shit or talking with someone new. But also don’t turn it into a job interview. Be an active listener. B. What makes a good/bad date? Good dates are either comforting (as in this man makes me feel so at ease with his presence) or exciting (this guy is so much fun). As for bad dates I …

It’s pretty overrated tbh. I feel like when you are a teenager or a child everything feels so intense because not only are you extremely hormonal but you also have no past romantic experience to draw from. Everything is a lot bigger than it actually is because your world is so small. Looking back it’s comedic how dramatic I was about guys I liked when I still in HS. I was absolutely in love with this one guy and he was the scum of the earth lol. We were friends from the very first week of school…

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and give them the time to get comfortable and open up but if we’ve been dating or hanging out for a while and he’s still too shy to even hold a conversation with me or my friends then I’d start losing interest ngl.

Confidence, to me, is conveying a sense of calmness even in tense, awkward, or new situations. A guy yelling over his friends trying to one up and talk over someone else to impress a group of girls isn’t confident he’s just loud. The guy vibing, laughing and not giving a fuck, shooting the shit with strangers is confident. Idk does he live in bumblefuck with no women? Is he funny and fun to be around? You can be nice, handsome, and confident but if you can’t talk to people in a fun way and keep …

I should’ve been more clear and that’s my mistake. But, I meant “don’t like interacting with people” in terms of don’t like going through the social process of dating where you interact with people in bars/parties/through friends and not necessarily a shut in who doesn’t go outside.

This isn’t new. There are many wealthy cougars who take young men as sugar babies. I think the practice would increase among a specific set of women who have the money, are middle aged, don’t like interacting with people, and are alone. Although I don’t ever thing it’d expand to younger women in the same way prostitution is encroaching as a practice among young men. Tbh I don’t think even think single older women would reach the levels of single older men who visit prostitution because older wom…

This entirely depends on the kind of girl and the friend group and it only works if everyone is keeping the same mindset. It’s a bit more common with more outgoing people/social groups, I have a few different friends that knowingly became Eskimo sisters. This was also a sorority so I’m biased. Sometimes it’s based on recommendation “he’s so great in bed” sometimes it’s just based on convenience (Your sorority repeatedly mixes with a fraternity so certain men are known really well among the girls…

Lol no. In my experience passive women usually get steamrolled or taken advantage of first. This extends from the workplace, to school, to social settings. When sketchy men prowl for women they’re not going to approach the loud mouth one or the one explicitly turning away men on the dance floor, they’re looking for the one shrinking themselves alone in the corner. Even in groups of only women, the most intimidating women and the ones other women will defer to in a friend group is usually the mos…

Housekeeping Idk housing economics lower mortgage rates for first time home buyers. Idk how agricultural economics work but I definitely believe all non-processed staple foods should be made cheap, because I think a large chunk of the reason why everyone is so fucked up and sad is because we’re eating garbage and nice healthy food is either expensive or scarce. Stop subsidizing big corn. Maybe give a lil tax break to certain grocery stores that open in food deserts. Subsidize low income housing.…

lol I hate it but I can’t really do anything about it except dress down and ignore. I like looking good, wearing makeup, and coordinating outfits and I can’t do that full force in my day to day because there have been situations where if I look too girly or too dolled up (not even necessarily showing skin) men will bother me. How old am I? If I was a teen I’d get heavy into guitar, drums, or skateboarding because those are the groups where I’ve seen the largest number of short but sexually successful men. If I’m an adult I’d find a festival/rave group and start religiously going to festivals become a mini god in the festival circuit and try to get girls that way or I’d join a Brazilian jiu jitsu or Krav Maga gym while hitting local workshops and language classes. I had a guy I made friends with in class who I’d hang out with a lot. Initially we would only hang out after our shared class but then we ended up just hanging out every day. We’d sit in my room have a couple beers, listen to music, and smoke weed and just talk for hours everyday for several weeks. Sometimes id invite him over to come chill and smoke late at night. Being a stay at home mother isn’t bad, it’s just that people have shat on homemaking, domestic duties, and “traditionally feminine roles” for so long that women finally took the hint and decided on doing other careers. It’s also expensive to live off one persons paycheck in a lot of places in America and if youre a stay at home parent that leaves you at the mercy of your working spouse. I feel like it’s whiplash from a whole generation of women only really having VS for like two decades and no other big undie brand. Sex sells to men, not women. Sex sells in America because big shot men started and defined the marketing culture in the 50s and 60s, not women. The average woman doesn’t need lingerie every day of the week unless shes a stripper, she needs UNDERWEAR that she can lounge in and not feel guilty about wearing while on her period. I dont care how Chanel Iman looks in a bra because I will not be walking half naked down a runway, I will be sitting at my desk 40 hours a week and occasionally running to …

You’re not a virgin so you don’t have to say anything. Although if you maybe wanted some patience on her part or some leeway because of anxiety you could say, “I haven’t done this in a while.” I’ve used it, guys have used it with me. This is only true if you never got a job post college and stayed in your college town. People grow up, get jobs, move away, and change their social circles all the time. Most people don’t graduated and then move in the same exact city with all of their friends. They make friends with their roommates in a new city, or they smoke weed and make friends with the budtender they always see, or they set up puppy play dates online and make friends with another person with young dogs, or they make friend…

If a guy was a Virgin because he chose that I’d write him off because we probably wouldn’t have the same values and attitudes towards sex. For me It’s okay if a guy just hasn’t had the opportunity presented or is too shy/awkward to pursue it themselves because Ive known a couple men like this. As long as I’m not being put under intense “first time” pressure and they aren’t acting weird about it I can let it go. I once took a guys virginity in college when we were both 20. You’re not just talking to people in the circle, you are integrating into a network of multiple social circles. Your friends have other friends outside of your group. I recently redownloaded tinder and I get a relatively steady stream of messages and matches but simultaneously the men are flakier and message less than when I use to use it. I wouldn’t financially support a boyfriend except for an emergency. A husband, yes but it depends on why. Are we childless and he just wants to hang out at home all day and do dick squat? Fuck no. If we had young children and he was staying home to take care of them, I’d be fine supporting him until they go to school. If he was sick I’d be fine supporting him for as long as needed. There are women who about those forms of status, it’s just that you specifically might not be hanging with the crowds where these women are. I was in a sorority for 2 years and for the ‘future cto/senators wives’ political and business ties were much more valuable than the rockstar who’d be a barista upon graduation or the football player who majored in communications. I’ve dated and hooked up with near-balding/balding guys, so I wouldn’t care if a boyfriend/husband was. The only thing unattractive about it is when men try to hide it by doing those old man comb overs/externalize their insecurities about it in weird ways. I personally don’t think balding it that important as long as your head isn’t shaped in a fucked up way. I read somewhere that said that only 30% of the users on tinder are women. From witnessing both relationships between my girlfriends and guyfriends - codependency. I feel like some men enjoy having women who constantly need them to solve problems because it feels good to be needed and seen as a provider. It usually ends up backfiring though with either the guy freaking out over turning into a babysitter or the girl freaking out if her boyfriend doesn’t answer his phone when shes has a minor inconvenience.

All of my friends are good at dating. The only reason I could think of any one of my friends going through a “dating dry spell” would be because they don’t put themselves out there for whatever reason. It's okay to have a youthful vibe if that's who you are, it's just an issue when it's used in a disingenuous or even predatorial way.
