And details like that (the smell) though gross, actually lend an air of authenticity to testimony. I am a lawyer -- listen to me. You do not do this because it is relevant criminally, but because it WILL be useful in a non-criminal context. Police where I live still DO perform lie detector tests when it comes to sexual assault allegations to assist with their charging decisions.
