Eh, I've banged plenty of chicks so it doesn't bother me. Now if I've never gotten laid then maybe I'd be a little salty and jealous watching other people get to have fun.

It is nowhere near that bad. Until we at least take care of the cost of living and rewrite laws that make marriage unstable then we can argue about virtues. Until then the pearl clutching means nothing.

What do you think playboy magazines were you dolt? Lol. If given the choice between modern porn or a 1950's style catalog, I'll take modern porn. Pretty sure I'm aware of my own preferences lol. Even if you are gay or bi, no shame in that. Yeah I did. You basically made the assertion that masturbating to porn is overall a negative practice. And that's cool if that's your opinion. But that opinion is actually becoming law in some places and basically disregards individual choice. So unfortunately…

Hate to break it to you but porn is nowhere near the most destructive thing affecting families.

Few things to unpack Since most women don't actively or primarily seek out sex what are straight guys supposed to do? The blunt reality is that porn is a major source of sexual release for men in general. It might not be the only way to get off but it's one of the most effective tools in the toolbox. The homoerotic thing is basically untrue. It would only be true if you have a sexual attraction to men to start with. There are health benefits to regular ejaculation.

Close. Early 30's. I'm a little on the older side I'll give you that. And I haven't seriously tried to date in 7 years. And I realize my personal experiences aren't an across the board truth. Maybe things are changing, but I doubt 7 years is enough time to make those experiences irrelevant. Now in 20 - 30 years, sure.

Lucky. All the women I met in my early twenties dated for relationships that would turn into marriage. I'd say give it time. By mid 20's that tune is probably going to start changing.

Granted this is my personal experience, but my experience has been the complete opposite. And I find yours hard to believe. It's kind of like if you sit down in a bar for a while, how many women are just going to walk up to you, start conversation and try to coax you into going home with them? My experience is they don't. They expect you to do that bit. And even when you do it's far from probable that they're just itching to get laid. Now granted maybe there are some scenes like nightclubs near …

Women want security. Try asking women in real life if they would rather be married or a lifelong girlfriend and the vast majority will say married. Some women don't want kids but the majority do.

It sucks, but it's the truth. In our parents and grandparents time getting partnered up and having kids was the norm. Now society is so fucked up and so punishing towards men it doesn't make sense to do what previous generations did. It just seems like being single, having your affairs in order, and treating women like a recreational game to kill spare time is the way to go. That is unless you seriously want kids, then you'd have to take the marriage risk and hope your life doesn't get completel…

Women don't date men for sex and companionship. Women date men for (basically) marriage and kids. Once you understand that then you'll understand women. Women are super transactional in their relationships with men. The only reason you'd want to have a relationship with women is because you want a kid. Otherwise they make for shit partners.

Cheaper option would be a quality strip club after escorts. But sex is a luxury. If you have more important things to worry about then I would focus on that instead.

Women have an incredible amount of social power today that they didn't have in previous generations. The only real difference from this generation compared to previous ones is that making a home life with one has become exponentially shittier and riskier.

It's like everything else in life when it comes to money. If you make top shelf money you're going to pay for top shelf anything, cars, houses, women, you name it. And you probably have the money to pay for the best lawyers and connections to other friends in high places. Also legally it is pretty easy to blur the lines between what is and is not prostitution. If you say $150 for a bj then yeah you're in trouble. But if you know your person and are in a private setting it is generally rare for l…

If you're a rich guy you'd be better off just buying sex. Depending on how rich you are you might have alternatives to marriage available. This sub cries too much about how unfair the world is instead of being pragmatic and finding alternatives. Men have more options at their disposal than they realize. Go to the gym and stay in shape. Having a fit athletic body is naturally going to be appealing. eat better, healthier meals. You'll feel better and live longer. network with strippers, call girls…

I don't really find it funny. She basically explained to me that most women have their hopes set on getting married and they will resent you for not doing it. I struggled a lot financially before getting my house, it took everything I had. I'm not super eager to throw myself back into the hole again. So what that means is though I might be comfortable I will most likely be alone and die alone. That is something I have accepted and come to terms with.

She presented herself as a butch lesbian, but turns out she isn't even lesbian, but bisexual and just had no success with men, only women. She turned out to be a cynical, toxic and judgemental bitch with many frustrations and she sees toxic masculinity everywhere. And she tries to control me, she seems to feel inferior and threatened by me (and other men) and tries to be always the one in charge This is honestly at the heart of it. Back in the day (like the 50's) the husband would go work, earn money for the family, and do maintenance on the home. The wife would attend to the family household which meant cooking, cleaning, and looking after the children. And, you know, you also have sex with your wife. This is where feminists get the idea that house wives are maids or "bangmaids" as they like to call them. A maid is just a hired contractor that would clean or cook. But there are no sexual services offered. Today a wife has…

I can't find any studies off hand. But comparing marriage rates to a country with prostitution (Germany) to a country without prostitution (USA) I found no convincing evidence that legalized prostitution had a significant impact on overall marriage rates. Both countries have similar marriage rates that have been declining for the past five decades or so.

That topic would still be welcome here as it is a social aspect and even a philosophical one. The point I'm getting at is if someone is basically making a post going something like "I'm not getting laid and it's all feminism's fault" or "I can't get a girlfriend or get laid" then that doesn't really contribute anything. While we definitely could talk about how feminist politics affect men and their ability to form an actual healthy relationship with women in general, there are ways and means of …

It's something that affects them personally and negatively. I understand the frustration, sometimes when you feel like something is hopeless and nothing will change the natural reaction is to lash out. Secondly, they need to realize that some people will just not succeed romantically in the way that …

Sadly I don't think there's anything we can really do. They're just going to keep squeezing us until there's nothing left. Edit: I've previously commented that the guys who get really good at being single and looking after themselves are going to be the ones who will be able to survive the best.

Dating gets harder as we get older. That's just a general fact of life. If you don't really have a friend circle, and dating apps failed, then you're just going to have to do cold approaching. When you go out you're going to have to start conversations with women. If you're looking for a serious relationship that's a huge benefit to you as that's what most women are after. If you're complaining about just not getting laid then I don't have any advice. If the loneliness is eating you then use it …

Our laws allow them to act this way. But I agree with the energy of this post. We shouldn't allow this. It shouldn't even be a discussion. There is no way a country can survive with this kind of instability. And I feel that applies to much more than family law. We all have obligations to society, and in return society has obligations to us. To expect someone to do something while providing little to nothing in return is called slavery.

The left has made it abundantly clear that it champions feminist politics and liberals consider the straight white male to be the source of oppression. The left doesn't deserve our support. If it were just about healthcare, workers rights, and immigration then the left wouldn't deserve the criticism. But they've made it clear for a while that they think social groups they view as "oppressed" are more deserving than others. So in my view they are just like the mirror opposite of the right.

The biggest pitfall of being a single guy is not being able to really have kids on your own unless you want to pay a lot of money to not have a woman in your life which would probably just amount to the same cost as a divorce anyway. Men are perfectly capable of cooking, cleaning, and maintaining their own house. I'd argue that it is substantially easier to be single. The less you have to rely on women the more control and autonomy that gives you over your own life. And that's how things should …

Why? do feel personally attacked by what I said? People don't just wake one day and randomly decide to off themselves. Unless a person has a natural chemical imbalance in the brain that causes clinical depression, most people (men in this case) have deep emotional trauma they're unable to cope with. And I don't feel that anything I pointed out didn't have at least some overall negative impact on their lives that assisted their hand in pulling that trigger.

What's the point of feminism anymore? What rights do men have that women don't? What exactly are they fighting against? The patriarchy? Ok, then point out who the patriarchy is exactly. What group of men specifically is oppressing women in a measurable way. Sexism? Give detailed examples. Inequalities? Give detailed examples. Feminists make assertions that society is unfair towards women, make them prove their assertions. Because assertions without proof are just baseless claims.

This is my take: I think this is a broader social problem. Blaming some small percentage of men for something that isn't their fault isn't productive. Since the 1950's we've become progressively more liberal and adopted more liberal ideals. I would honestly ask how that's working out for us? How's the drugs, porn, divorce, hedonism, and general crybaby bitch boy attitude working? I don't consider myself particularly religious, but I feel they have some good points. Even if we develop truly aston…

It's true. Democrats have a social totem pole that they cater to, I would order it like LGBTQ (first), women (a very close second), minorities (a very close third), and if men are on the totem pole at all it is a very, very dead last.

I think there are some layers to this We live in the social media age where we can have instant communication but minimal real life interaction. Getting lonelier with age is generally a common experience. We get older, lose friends, get weighed down with life, responsibilities, etc. From mens perspective with regards to women, men compete for women sexually. When dating men have to put in the effort and women expect men to chase/pursue them. It's just how it is. What that means is if you're a de…

Divorce nullified marriage. There isn't any other way to look at it. When you can sign one piece of paper to get in and then sign another piece of paper to get out, that means there are no promises, no guarantees, and few if any real benefits for men. The only reason modern marriage is still a thing is because women want it. Women know modern marriage gives them the upper hand in their relationships with men. if it didn't you wouldn't see women being so up ass about it. The only reason I could s…

Women have been culturally seen as the victims. It's a holdover from when this country (US) actually had defined gender roles. Now women have way more rights and freedoms than in the past but still hold onto some past notions like being weaker and more vulnerable, and assuming primary caretaker role for children which gets factored into court and divorce proceedings. Women have equal rights to men in the workplace and have a dominant role in home and family life. Men nowadays just simply don't h…

Marriage and no fault divorces primarily cover women regardless of what they do. The only benefit to a man in no fault divorce is if he wants to abandon or change wives, but that comes with such a massive cost it's more of a tradeoff than a benefit. And seeing as women file the majority of divorces I can only assume that the majority of men don't actually want to be divorced. So I'd say women are the primary beneficiary of this setup.

Many men are essentially dropping out now. There is no reward for looking after and treating women well. I feel this the most. Unless you really want kids there is no point getting into serious relationships with women. Women are blindly heading towards what could be the destruction of Western civilisation because everything feels good to them right now and they tend to be almost solipsistic having ceeded outside concerns to men. Basically women have things set up how they want it, they get men …

All depends on what you're going for OP: Want kids: You should look for someone who fits what you want in another person and be aware of what compromises you'd be willing to make and under what circumstances. Most (and I mean the vast majority) women will want a marriage for this.
