Thanks. It's not letting me verify for some reason Was so much easier when they were on Reddit. I want to continue reading the content/learning but I can't if its not easily accessible. Also, a lot of women will be missing out on this.

I’m having trouble accessing FDS on the Wix app. It’s not showing up on the search

That was my initial thought as well 😂having said that, you’d hope that they would check that sort of thing (read it on your profile, etc) before asking you.

I’m not fussed about receiving oral as long as they make an effort to get me off in other ways. I would also break up with any man who tried to push me into doing oral. If I did do it, it would have to be entirely on my terms.

And they complain about us ‘hitting the wall’ as soon as we reach 30 🙄

It is annoying. I was watching a Russian historical drama with my mum last year, and had to fast forward through some of it due to gratuitous sex scenes. The drama itself (Trotsky) was good, but it didn’t need the sex scenes. I’ve even started watching more Asian dramas because they rarely have sex scenes.

I’m a vegan and feel very strongly about not wanting my partner to eat meat, so I wouldn’t date someone who eats it. I’m also fussy about certain food textures (can’t stand cooked greens or mashed potatoes because the texture makes me gag). However, I am willing to try most (vegan) foods. I would not be able to date someone who hates spicy food/flavour as most of the food I like is spicy.

I’d rather do that by myself or with a friend/my mum unless the man is really worth it. Cost isn’t the only factor here - my time/energy is far more important tbh.

Looking at most older men vs most older women on dating sites instantly disproves this. I’ve yet to see an attractive man over 30 on them. I know they exist, but there aren’t many.

I’ve been called ‘narrow minded’ because I won’t date anyone who doesn’t have at least a BA/BSc. I have a Masters degree, and I want to date someone on a similar intellectual level. I also won’t date men who are unemployed - I currently don’t have a job, so I’ve put dating on hold until I do. I’d expect men to do the same.

‘Showering everyday is bad for the skin/dries it out’ That’s only if you don’t exfoliate regularly and don’t use moisturiser. I swear men are so lazy when it comes to basic hygiene/maintenance.

That is not true, at all. It may be the case for some raw foodists or people following extreme/restrictive plant based diets, but not for veganism. The whole point of being vegan is (per The Vegan Society) to ‘exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary ter…

I know I’ve said this before, but I am genuinely far happier being single/celibate with 3 cats than I ever was in a relationship. The most I have to do for them is feed/clean up after them a few times a day + playing and cuddles. I can do whatever I want without being hassled or judged for watching ‘trash’ tv. My cats also seem to show me more love and appreciation than any of my exes did.

And my ex wonders why I broke up with him over the phone. It’s not because I don’t respect him, it’s because I was afraid of how he would react.

Yeah, I realised just now that I used the wrong flair. Having said that, I’ve seen women make posts like this as well on Facebook.

I wish Reddit had a laugh react because that is truly pathetic. How dare we want to be treated like we’re special by our partners?

I absolutely will not date single fathers. I chose to not have kids, and that includes someone else’s kids. It’s also seriously unfair that women get shamed for being single mothers while men get praised for it.

Wanting anal would be a huge red flag/dealbreaker for me. We all know that if scrotes like something, they will try to pester you into it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/03/22 10:12 AM
2

The only reason I have these ‘rules’ is to help me avoid men like this. Any man who pesters for sex/disrespects boundaries is not high value, no matter how ‘attractive’ they are. Also, the only men I ever see complaining about ‘Chad’ are ugly with repulsive personalities.

I’m unemployed/on disability, and I can afford $20 for breakfast. If you’re in a situation where that is unaffordable, dating should not be your top priority.

I’m so sick of hearing scrotes say ‘not all men’ in response to horrific stories like this… we know it’s not all men, but we never know which men are going to suddenly snap and do something like this until it actually happens.

There’s less than 2% of men on OLD that would be worth dating, if you’re looking for more than mediocre casual sex.

Men should get ZERO say in how women give birth/whether we get abortions/birth control, etc. Unless they are a trained medical professional, they should shut the fuck up.

In my experience, as an LGBT+ woman - being straight has nothing to do with sex being a ‘big deal’. It’s a ‘big deal’ because women get shit on for enjoying sex/having ‘too much’ sex.

I Googled ‘why are men so unattractive’ and an FDS post came up. I’ve also had messages on my other account directing me here after asking what warning signs I need to be aware of when dating.

I was always told that it was basic good manners to hold the door open if someone is behind you. It’s never occurred to me that I’m ever owed more than a ‘thank you’ for doing so. One man glared at me because I held a door open for him (I was visiting my father in Qatar, and did it automatically), but aside from that one time, most people appreciate it.

Honestly, while my cats can get on my nerves sometimes, I’ve never felt afraid of/threatened by/disrespected by them. They’ve always been friendly and loving. Even when they want space/to be left alone, it’s always conveyed in a gentle/calm way.

Am currently watching it. I don’t want to sound like I’m victim blaming, (spoiler alert for those who haven’t watched it yet) but on what planet is it a sensible idea to go abroad with, or give your passport details to someone you’ve only just met? I thought that going home with/inviting someone back to my home on the first date was a bad idea, but wow.

The most I do to prepare myself for a date (unless it’s a special occasion) is shower, do my hair, put on a nice outfit and some make up on top of my usual maintenance. I’ve never been to a spa or gotten my hair done professionally for a date.

I can relate to this. I only seem to get approached by/messaged by ugly men and LVM. I’m not even massively fussy on appearance, but they always seem to be obese/unemployed/barely literate/have terrible skin. I look after myself, am making an effort to lose weight and have a MSc (almost, haven’t graduated yet but passed all my assignments). I want someone who is, at the very least, aesthetically attractive, near my age (late 20s) and on my intellectual level. I don’t care if that’s ‘unrealistic’…

I dated a guy back in 2017 who was fine touching/having sex with me, but wouldn’t kiss me. He led me to believe that it was a cultural difference (he was Chinese), but I’m fairly certain he was just making excuses. He also had the audacity to accuse me of giving him an STI even after I sent him a screenshot of my negative results 🤡

Right? Literally no one except me knows either of my Reddit accounts. There’s some possibly identifying info on my other one, but I normally use it for posting in beauty/vegan/interest subreddits.

Same here, except I’m vegan. I use that as a way to vet/screen potential dates: if they make stupid/disrespectful comments or ask me dumb questions, I block them. Don’t have the time or patience for it, tbh.

I can honestly say I’m far more happy with 3 cats than I ever was with a man. My cats have never complained about me choosing not to shave or the fact that I like to sleep alone/have the sofa to myself sometimes.

I’ve mentioned it briefly to my therapist, but not specified which forum I was talking about. She said as long as it’s helping, it’s fine.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/01/22 12:30 PM

I’m ashamed to say I cheated on my ex when I was 20. After we split up, I made sure I worked on myself and went through therapy to work through any underlying issues that could have contributed to that behaviour. That was solely my responsibility, not my ex’s. I still feel awful about it 10 years later, but at least I know I won’t make that mistake again.

She should leave him. I like Philippa Perry and get what she’s saying about attachment theory (I’m doing a MSc in Psychology) but none of that is his wife’s problem. He needs to seek therapy and get his shit together.

Next time, I’m leaving at the first sign of any aggression. I get that it’s normal to experience anger, but I’d rather my partner left the room and calmed down before discussing things than yelled at me.

Yep. When I started feeling like I had a maximum time I could be around my LV ex (a literal manchild), I knew it was time to leave because it wasn’t fair on either of us. No one deserves to be treated like that, and she can do much better.

It’s near impossible to find any men who are decent looking. I’m not even expecting a model, just someone I find attractive. Almost feel glad I’m bi and can date women as well tbh.

Two of mine did. I made the mistake of contacting both of them a few months ago after I got particularly drunk one night - they seemed to take that as an invitation back into my life. Yet another reason to avoid alcohol, or to drink sensibly/not get drunk.

Did he seriously try to use his ethnicity as an excuse? Because one of my exes was Russian as well, and while he was toxic in other ways, he never tried to hurt me during sex.

Going to start implementing these rules now. One month should be plenty of time for them to decide if they want to be serious or not. If they’re still ‘not sure’, it’s a no.

I wish I’d seen this a few years ago. My LVX had difficulty ejaculating (never spoke to a doctor about this, it was always my fault) and would expect me to let him keep going until he came, sometimes up to an hour. If I politely asked him to stop, he’d make me feel bad about it. I’m wondering if that experience has contributed to me now wanting nothing to do with sex at all now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/11/21 11:07 AM

I grew up middle class (was born/brought up in a posh part of the UK) and will only date lower middle class and above who have degrees. I don’t care if that makes me sound ‘classist’ or ‘elitist’ - I want to date someone who is on my level/has a similar background.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/21 10:12 AM

That’s infuriating. I’d be livid if I found out someone I was dating was like that.

I plan to do as much as I can now to ensure that my health is the best it can be when I’m older so I’m still independent and not a burden on anyone else. I expect any potential partner to do the same. Obviously some things can’t always be avoided (cancer, Alzheimer’s, etc) but there are things you can do to lower your risk of getting them (healthy lifestyle, socialising, etc).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/21 09:54 AM
27

Ending things over text with someone you’ve dated to a certain point is straight-up disrespect I’ve been guilty of this. I broke up with my ex over Facebook because we were long distance + during the pandemic. I’d also tried to end it over the phone the day before and he just wasn’t getting it. I’m definitely not proud of that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/11/21 04:23 PM
37

Oh no, won’t someone please think about the sub-par/mediocre men? If you’re not good enough for FDS, do something about it. Otherwise, shut up and go find someone with lower standards. I really am past stroking men’s egos and trying to make them feel good about being low value.

I’m glad you found something that helped :) IBS can be awful sometimes. Like you said, I never need more than a couple of flushes and sometimes a quick wipe of the toilet. Which takes less than thirty seconds. OOP’s partner sounds awful and I don’t know how she could live with someone like that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/11/21 11:29 AM
112

I thought that too. I found cutting out dairy and gradually increasing fibre (fruits, vegetables, legumes etc) really helped. Obv that won’t work for everyone with IBS, but it did for me. He needs to take responsibility and get his health under control.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/11/21 03:38 PM
901

And why can’t he clean up after himself? Myself and many other women have IBS, and don’t leave literal shit everywhere. I would be mortified if anyone else had to clean that up for me. ETA: even with IBS, that’s not normal and he really should see a doctor to make sure it’s not anything more serious.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/11/21 02:10 PM
32

This. My LVX would continue kissing me after I started pulling away. He’d also get stroppy if I didn’t feel like doing certain things like sharing a bath (ewww!) or didn’t feel like being sexual.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/11/21 02:48 PM
3

Oh hell no. I would have ended it if that was me. Having said that, I also wouldn’t wait over a decade for a proposal. You should know long before then if you want to marry someone or not. If you’re still ‘not sure’, it’s a no. Obv it’s different if both partners aren’t interested in marriage, but most women are.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/11/21 11:21 AM

And these scrotes will then have the audacity to whine that ‘bUt ShE gAvE iT uP tO ChAaAaAaAd StRaIgHt AwAy, WhY dO I HaVe To WaAaAaAiT’ The reason we’re making you wait is because we’ve been hurt in the past because we got attached too soon. If we’re asking to wait a bit, it’s because we’re serious about being in a relationship and want to make sure you are too. There is literally no good reason for us to continue behaviour that has gotten us hurt in the past.

I have two OLD profiles, I’ve gone on a few times out of curiosity and… there’s just nothing. It’s all ugly men with badly written profiles, weird demands and poly people. The few I have spoken to made no effort and were boring AF. Not worth it, at all.

Definitely faces that match the opinions. I’m not one for making fun of people’s appearances, but if you make comments like that, you kind of deserve it mate. Like how I don’t feel sorry for men who get made fun of after sending unsolicited dick pics.

Kink and BDSM are an instant no for me. As is anal or anything like that. And I’m not going down on a man unless he’s gone down on me and gotten me off first. If men can’t deal with that, they can GTFO.

I can agree with this. I’m autistic, and certain tastes/textures (cooked greens, mashed anything, gravy, seaweed, cooked fruit, etc) will literally make me gag. I will happily try most (vegan) foods, but none of the above. I will also try anything new at least once.

My ex was too enthusiastic in the kitchen. By that I mean he couldn’t cook, had no idea what flavours go together and would just throw random herbs and spices into dishes and hope it worked. I remember having to specifically tell him to not put curry powder into enchiladas. He’d also expect me to have ‘planned’ all meals in advance, which did my fucking head in. It was like I had a child, not a boyfriend.

My ex would never wipe after peeing. He’d then wonder why I wouldn’t want to cuddle/make out when I could literally see urine stains on his boxers. He also had to be told (at the age of 25!) that yes, you do need to clean under your foreskin 🤢

There’s no way he’s seeing multiple therapists - one, it’d be ridiculously expensive. Two, it’s generally not advised to see more than one at a time (I can’t remember exactly why, but I was told it was best not to). Also, having such an explosive reaction to someone walking into the room is a huge red flag.

I love snakes and most other reptiles, but do not have one due to the fact that I couldn’t bear feeding them mice/other small animals (am also now vegan, so am also against it for ethical reasons). From what I’ve read, live feeding is generally advised against anyway. I’m not sure who would find it ‘entertaining’ to watch another living being suffer like that - I would dump anyone the second I found out they were into that.

If we weren’t afraid of men potentially reacting violently to rejection, we wouldn’t have to fucking ‘play games’ with you. Better yet, how about leave random women the fuck alone unless we’ve made it clear we want to talk to you/have approached you first?

I hate it when men do this. I’m too scared to give men a fake number in case this happens. Thank God most smartphones allow you to block numbers now.

I’d rather be single than lower my standards 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have them for a reason.

I have a list of requirements (mandatory) and preferences (nice to have, but less important). I’ve been using that to assess whether or not I’d like to match with/respond to someone. I’m also trying to level up a bit as I never seem to get messaged by/match with anyone I’d actually want to date.

I’d like to meet someone who’s got similar interests to me (art, history, literature, science, philosophy, languages, etc). One of my plans for when I move out is to join some evening classes so maybe I can meet someone there :)

That makes sense - I definitely don’t want to waste my time on someone who just wants casual sex when I’m looking for a serious relationship leading to marriage. Not sure if I could get away with not putting out until engagement/marriage given that I’ve slept with previous partners, though. I’m hoping I can find someone who’s asexual/has a low sex drive as I really don’t enjoy sex at all.

I’m not in a financial position to pay for dating sites, so I might wait until I am before using them again. Thanks :)

Nothing. She did literally nothing to deserve that. This shit isn’t fucking funny. Can men stop making gross comments about an innocent young woman being killed?

Holy shit, I’m so sorry that happened to you. There really is no excuse for that kind of behaviour.

I’ve done a few sexual things in the past that I have no intention of repeating (casual sex, anal, first date sex, etc) - men will complain that if you did that for ‘Chad’ and not for them, you must not like them/be attracted to them, which is absolute nonsense. If anything, whining about me not letting you degrade me/blatantly disrespecting my boundaries is a huge turn off.

Totally agree. I’ve jokingly referred to myself as a cat mum, but I do not for a single second think that having three cats is the same as three children. If anything, I’d be tempted to do it more often to weed out losers who explode over insignificant stuff like this. It seems like the majority of men have anger/violence issues, though.

That too. I feel sick remembering how a lot of the categories revolve around race or ethnicity.

I stopped watching porn after learning about there being videos of rape and underage girls on porn sites. I’ve since done some more research and want absolutely nothing to do with it now. It’s a disgusting industry and seems to only exist for the purpose of exploiting women and pleasing men. I’d rather be single than be with someone who supports that.

Same, my cats mean a lot to me and I want them to be as happy/healthy as possible for as long as possible. I do try to be a good owner, although I do mess up sometimes.

Not cleaning the tray regularly is just gross. It should be scooped every time the cat uses it, and fully cleaned every couple of days. There’s not much that can be done about them going on the counter (if anyone has any suggestions, that would be appreciated), but the counters should be regularly cleaned anyway. I try to wipe them before I cook/prepare anything on them, just in case.

He’s allowed to have that opinion, but I find it concerning that he blew up that much over something so minor. Just quietly unmatch if it bothers you that much.

Ugh, I got taken advantage of by a 27 year old man when I was 19. He let me get attached to him, and then started making all these gross comments about how my breasts were ‘the wrong shape’ (they naturally sag, always have done) and that I’d look amazing if I lost weight (knowing full well I had an eating disorder). He’d also openly flirt with me in front of his fiancée knowing that I would go with it because I was usually drunk/had seriously low self esteem (not an excuse, I should not have don…

I’m 28, and quite happy with the thought of being alone with my cats. Living alone is great - I can do exactly what I want when I want, have whatever food I like, put what I want on the tv/radio and have all the space in my bed. I’m living with my mum atm due to health problems, but I’m looking forward to living on my own again soon :)

I’m with the father on this one. I regret almost all of my casual sex experiences, and would advise any younger person to avoid it altogether.

Same here, kissing like that really grosses me out. I think my LV ex put me off because he would keep kissing me after I tried to pull away, and pretty much threw a tantrum when I didn’t want to kiss him the day after getting my lip pierced 🙄

Same, I’ve learned so much from being here. I’ve also stopped caring about what men think of me, which has been so liberating. Deleting and blocking time wasters is definitely the way forward.

I’ll do it if they reciprocate, but I’m not doing it otherwise. I’m also not swallowing - semen tastes disgusting.

Yeah. Any man who throws a tantrum about me not putting out quickly enough is getting dumped immediately. I made some very stupid mistakes when I was younger, got hurt pretty badly as a result, and now do not wish to repeat it. I don’t see why that’s so hard for men on here to understand.

I would not date someone with severe or uncontrolled mental illness. It’s not worth risking my own mental health over. Especially if they refuse to seek help or use it as an excuse to mistreat people. Protecting yourself is not ableist, and anyone who tries to claim that it is is someone you need to stay far away from.

My ex never used to wipe after peeing. You could literally see the stain on his boxers afterwards *shudder* I also had to explain to him (at 25 years old!) that yes, you do need to wash under your foreskin. I will never understand how you can get to that age and not know basic hygiene.

I have two cats, and they are infinitely better company than most men. Shock horror, some women are perfectly happy while single.
