Is she entitled to more? One thing you really need to do is get a list of your liquid assets e.g. house, car, business, pension, debts, savings.... Litterly everything that you have from the marriage or even prior (in England there is no difference of what you pay into a pension during a marriage and what you had before so the other party gets 50% of the whole pot). Your solicitor will advise you of that as will hers. CMS have a calculator online so you can use that to base your payments to her. For bills you don't need… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/10/20 06:42 PM
Wife involves kids (7 and 9) in our arguments. Reads our texts to them to justify herself. There really isn't anything you can do, if anything were to happen that would involve social services then they may take it into consideration but apart from that nothing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/20 01:28 PM
Do you have any advice when choosing between 2 lawyersNope, gender doesn't really come into it as it doesn't really matter to a judge or the other council. Go off of reviews or recommendations, if you feel that's someone wont fight your corner (regardless of gender) then don't go for them. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/20 11:23 PM
Do you have any advice when choosing between 2 lawyersGo on reviews of what their prior clients say, if I were you I'd go with the female if she's likely to fight as you ex wifes lawyer won't play by the book. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/09/20 09:22 PM
In the best taste, how did you celebrate getting divorced?Thats one of the top contenders, thanks. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/09/20 05:53 PM
Hate to get a divorce but what do I do?Sounds like you no longer have anything in common. Look at it this way, if you were to date just now would you go for someone who acts like her AND would you act the same way as you do currently? If the answer is YES to both questions then stay but if its anything else then its time to close shop. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/09/20 07:52 AM

Misleading the court through litigationThis. It will show the court that she has wasted court time and is unreliable. I would also ask your lawyer that and fees or costs for this evaluation be paid by her. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/09/20 01:10 PM
Has anyone divorced their wife due to her being infertile?INFO: did she know or suspect she was infertile before you married and kept it secret from you? | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/20 11:37 PM
Tomorrow is my court hearingGood luck with tomorrow, if I was to give any advice its try to come across as civil and sincere. Try to avoid any comments which may come across as petty. If you know she is going to call you out on money then beat them to it saying about not having a job as it will disarm her when she tried to attack you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/20 12:27 AM
If the other parry contests items from the marriage (I.e. they don't exist) can you get into trouble if you take them back?Yeah I do count myself lucky as I managed to save my pension which would have easily overshadowed this. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/20 12:20 AM

Question about making child maintenance payments (UK)What do you mean? Each year they mess up the calculations and I've taken them to tribunal each year for the same matter and been found in my favour. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/20 07:10 PM
Question about making child maintenance payments (UK)They're not amicable. I found out you can just contact the CMS and tell them to go away and revoke your application | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/20 06:03 PM
If the other parry contests items from the marriage (I.e. they don't exist) can you get into trouble if you take them back? Thanks for the advice, I was on the fence with it but legally it doesn't exist as she refused to evidence it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/20 06:03 PM
(UK) My STBXW has made allegations of rape and abuse. I have an interview with CAFCASS over the phone next week. What can I expect? TIANah I'd take this seriously and don't treat it as hear say. Lots of men have had their lives ruined by liars accusing them of rape. You need to get some legal help on this | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/20 06:02 PM

If the other parry contests items from the marriage (I.e. they don't exist) can you get into trouble if you take them back?Wow I can tell you've never been through a painful divorce and must think that everyone farts rainbows in relationships and divorce is like a episode of friends. Actually it is about the pots and pans. Maybe I should considering im the OP. The reason is asked (if you need it spelled out with big pictures) is that one side got to walk away with about £10k worth of assets, leave the other with £15k of debt and then plead they have no money and go on to sell the majority of the items and pocket the… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/20 05:57 PM
If the other parry contests items from the marriage (I.e. they don't exist) can you get into trouble if you take them back? Its not that simple, litterly all of the wedding gifts (photo frames, pots, pans, cutlery, furniture...) was taken. They said there was little or no value in it and it was not considered as assets when the divorce action proceeded, in other words they got to keep everything and sell it if they wanted to and keep the cash. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/20 04:17 PM

How can I talk about my terrible divorce to my date? You can give her the bate facts, you were married, you have a kid, it didn't work out. Don't dwell on it too much and only bring up parts of it once you both get comfortable. Unless you are an exceptionally good liar she will see its a painful subject | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/20 08:01 AM
After missing out two times in the final interviews(of engineering jobs) during my senior year due to diversity quota, this boils my bloodThe rules for work and employment in Pakistan and India are crazy, I can understand some are there to protect women but sometimes it goes too far. | /r/MensRights | 07/09/20 02:35 PM
Lawyer sucking everything she canHopefully mediation works but again until they sign something its litterly useless. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/09/20 12:31 PM
Lawyer sucking everything she canFirstly lawyers as scum and aren't out for you or kids best interests, anyone who says otherwise is lying to you and themselves. The way round this would be to get your ex to sign an agreement that has been drawn up that benefits everyone. You can do that yourself and get the lawyer to witness or notarise it. This would be the cheapest option. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/09/20 10:07 PM
