Technically speaking, prisoners on parole are still serving their sentence. So while he was wrong to say the guy was "in prison" for 40 years, he wasn't as mistaken as you may think. However, people make the mistake of assuming that just because a statement is a fallacy, it must be inherently inaccurate. This isn't necessarily true--a fallacy is just an indication that a viewpoint has not been fully defended, not that the viewpoint is wrong. 3	Meet the seemingly unfirable female firefighter To be fair, what really counts in a fire is more about strength than long-distance running. While the running is a sign of endurance (which is important) and I definitely think the bar should be decently high, it also needs to take into account that a good firefighter might be very bulky and thus not the best at long-distance running.
