1	Why aren't more men upset about the discrimination they face with the auto insurance industry? CA has its own insurance marketplace like CO and a couple other states. CA doesn't allow us to write policies there, but our policies do work there if you got them written in another state. When the ACA came into effect, the federal government said if you want your plans to be publicly available on healthcare.gov you have to follow these guidelines and requirements in your policies (One of which being that all pre-existing conditions are covered and there can be no underwriting). 1	Why aren't more men upset about the discrimination they face with the auto insurance industry? I sell private health insurance plans and it is very much still legal for non-public plans. Typical 26 year old male would be $220 a month, typical 26 year old female would be $280 a month. I sell these plans everyday and they are the most heavily underwritten plan in the country. Got diagnosed with HBP, depression, or anxiety in the last year? Can't get on our plan. Had a Kidney stone in the last 2 years? Can't get on our plan. 2	Why aren't more men upset about the discrimination they face with the auto insurance industry? It goes both ways. Women get charged more than men for health insurance when they are younger and less than men when they are older. It all has to do with statistics and risk. The only things illegal and considered discrimination for insurance is based on religion, sexual orientation, etc. Anything that has to do with risk factors are going to be calculated into the price. 2	Advice on mastering social skills Ask questions about them, people love to talk about themselves. Keep delving into a topic asking deeper and deeper questions, if you strike a personal chord with that person they won't be able to shut up about it.
