Work out as much as you can yourselves - especially the financials, then get a divorce Mediator to make sure the courts will agree to the terms and grant the divorce. You dont need lawyer - at least while its amicable

I don't know your situation. If she already has someone on the scene, then I would push to physically separate quickly. It will be a long time before you are comfortable watching her start to build a new life and if she has already been at it for a while it will escalate very quickly now that she is 'free'. Also, girls you are seeing will probably see straight through you and not be ready to start anything which makes the situation that much harder. But don't get a vasectomy. I did, 15 years ago…

It's still new. The hardest part is that I am still attracted to and love her - we have just accepted that we havent made each other happy despite many, many years of trying. If it wasn't for that acceptance this would not work at all. It does require excellent communication skills and a lot of respect.
