No. Marriage is basically a business contract. As such, I would urge anybody who is thinking about getting married to ensure they have a prenuptial agreement.

It’s now out of your system. Now it’s time to move forward and stop looking back. You’re never gonna be able to stop the pain looking back.

That is one expensive ring. I do not understand how a person could give somebody that expensive an engagement rind.

That is why she’s cutting him off. She realized that if you leave, she loses the financial security and the lifestyle, she is accustomed too. I read in your comments that you have three children. If the divorce happens, then she becomes a single mother of three living on half the income that she’s used to. She realizes that she has not developed a good exit strategy. So the longer she can string you a long, the more time she has to develop that exit strategy.

Her actions make no sense. Either she’s not sure what she wants to do with the marriage that she’s in. Or she is trying to buy herself some time to make a better exit strategy. If you are the primary income, then she is suddenly concerned about losing her financial safety net and the lifestyle she is accustomed to.

Honesty is the best policy when people ask. The truth is always easier to remember than a lie.
