She likes to be controlled by her husband because she’s passive, she doesn’t like making her own decisions and being an adult. It has nothing to do with her being a woman. Pushing the narrative is dangerous as it reinforces incels ideals

I definitely have the ick! I don’t think there’s any physical way I could get turned on by him at this point. I keep getting images of him just jackhammering away in my mind.

I want to add to my comment to, I think it’s best going into it with the mindset of no sex until commitment. I have been doing that with dates recently and it has helped my mindset immensely with taking sex off the table and focusing on other things. I have always connected with men through sex so it helped me move past that and force me to connect in other ways. We each have to take the rules and apply them to ourselves and our lives accordingly, some may have to focus harder on some rules than…

Imagine if I waited that long. It is the general rule, but a lot of girls have been posting how they don’t follow that to a T. I think it’s a good rule for people still learning to set boundaries for sure, but if everything is going well and it’s moving in the right direction, some think it’s better to get sex out of the way so you’re not waiting 6 months for shitty sex. Especially is sex is important to you

This is actually hilarious because we legit had like a 20 minute conversation on how we each cook steak, he loved cooking steak or other high quality meals. It’s funny you mentioned that and we specifically had a conversation about that

Sorry I didn’t mean that in a literal sense, I stopped counting a long time ago lol. I meant more of the mental gymnastics of giving that level of physical intimacy and vulnerability to yet another man with nothing to come of it

I think I’m going to just start doing that, further on into a relationship when I feel ready to have sex instead of actually having sex just having a discussion on preferences and seeing if it’s even worth it to go through with it

I totally agree, the best sex is sex in which you feel a deep connection and you can tell during sex whether they are connected or not. We did build a genuine relationship, and there was a level of emotional attachment and attraction. I just felt like he was masturbating with my body, which is why I’m confused. I can usually tell before sex if there is sexual chemistry and if the sex would be good more or less, this was a case where my judgment on that was horribly wrong. I think it’s easier to …

Respectful, financially stable, and attractive. The post specifically about HVM says he needs to be high value to YOU. I wish I could quote it here, but it literally says he should be respectful of your time, energy etc, which he was, financial stable/responsible, which he was, and attractive, which he was. There was not one thing he did that would be deemed LV. I agree 2 months is a short time, it’s hard to put a guy in a situation to really prove himself during that time, but all of the situat…

And have to take a shower after each time lol. I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt and “communicated” with him. He did try putting in effort to get it over with faster, otherwise the sex was good, but I just couldn’t do it anymore.

I’m totally open to having a conversation about this, that’s the whole point of this sub. But we have to take into consideration not everyone vetting process will look the same. Quite frankly I don’t care for travel, it always gives me anxiety, and although getting free gifts are nice, my “love language” is acts of service, so I typically find more value in a man seeing that I need something, and actively trying to fill that need. What’s a high value man to you? And that’s a serious question, I’…

I have a story like that as well! He had a horrible sweating problem coupled with porn addiction, so he would last forever AND my bed was drenched afterwards.

I agree with you, sex is very important to me and I can really only cum from PIV (it’s just easier for me than clit stimulation), so although oral is nice and usually makes me cum faster, if the sex sucks then I’m not cumming. And that’s a deal breaker for me. I’m not dead set on this mindset, but I feel like if a man really no longer likes you after having sex if you do it sooner than the recommended time frame, I really don’t think he was HV to begin with

Definitely could’ve use this last night, I was wearing a very nice/expensive top where I definitely could’ve said it was a gift. I totally forgot about that strategy, thank you!

This is hilarious and I love it. I definitely have to figure out how to expect more from men/get it. I’ve been trying to work on being more vague about my career/where I am in life because I’ve had men try to take advantage of it in the past (hobo-sexuals), but it seems to always come up. Something I will definitely work on

We’re getting away from the main question, how do you vet sex? Other than what I already did. Someone mentioned up in the comments you can have a discussion about sex, but that could also lead to there being a focus on sex or the assumption that you’re interested in sex. So how do you vet sex?

The follow through was on me, I did not want to go on trips

I get it, but all of that won’t tell you if the sex will suck or not. But going back to your first part, how do you go about that? I have an amazing job and I’m paid well, I tend to be vague about what I actually do, but it usually just comes up in conversation that I have my own stuff and it’s pretty implied that I have a great job/money. I get the lavish dinners, which they definitely do, but how would a woman who clearly has money get a guy to pay for bills or give you money?

He’s been acting as a HVM the entire time, inviting me on and paying for dates, taking initiative, as I stated in the post inviting me on trips, we shared values, believes in mental health and therapy, and he overall seemed like a great guy with a level head.

Exactly this. I empathized with my ex about it, but it was years of a lot of fights, stress, lies, etc. The process of them having to relearn how to have sex is not easy and is a total strain on a relationship, regardless of how patient you are. For any male lurkers, for real if you have death grip syndrome and/or are unable to form a real connection during sex, please heal yourself before bringing an unsuspecting woman into it. Seriously.

I assumed so, but I know if I posted this in a normal relationship subreddit that argument would definitely come up so I wanted to address it anyway for any lurkers. It’s like talking in circles. I’ve dated porn sick men before, and every time they promise to stop, and they don’t they just get sneakier about it. All the while they have death grip syndrome and can’t enjoy regular sex. I can usually tell instantly if a guy is an avid porn watcher by the way they have sex, and it doesn’t change. It…

Someone commented that I should have a discussion with him in regards to what I like and don’t like (looks like it was deleted) but I still want to address it. I did mention to him mid coitus that I’m probably going dry because he’s going way too fast. He acknowledged what I said, went slower for like a minute then went right back to jackhammering. Also, he couldn’t cum. At all. I think that’s a much bigger issue than just preferences.

I’m definitely dumping him, the thought of sleeping with him again is not appealing to me in the slightest. I didn’t initially talk to him about porn, only because I don’t think most people would be open about that regardless so whatever comes out of his mouth signifying he doesn’t watch porn, I would take with a grain of salt anyway. I just hate feeling like I’ve added another “number” for nothing

I get that sentiment but nothing is changing, except now he has to pay for everything and I’m still not having sex with him, so unsure as to how he benefits from agreeing that the man should pay for everything

Exactly, I love cooking and don’t mind cooking for others, but it seems he trying so hard to make this “fair” and not court me. I can just imagine us dating and him keeping tabs on what he’s done for me to use it against me at some point

Lol yup, after our first date he proposed we go 50/50 on the next one. Haven’t talked to him or saw him since. I haven’t blocked him because we frequent the same bar and don’t want issues, but since I obviously wasn’t keen on splitting dinner this was his new proposal 🤮

This was right before I found FDS. I went on a first date from OLD, the conversation wasn’t the best and felt forced. We ended up meeting up with my friends and then went to a bar afterwards. At the bar he got increasingly grabby and started to gaslight me as I felt slightly uncomfortable but he made me feel like I was “just being shy and needed to open up more”. I was drinking and became insecure so I let him be grabby thinking it was just me. He ended up coming back to my place that night and …

I had the same convo with my mother in law, she’s Asian and is extremely wealthy. She told me she had issues finding a husband when she was younger because of her strong will, no one dared to date her. Her and her now husband run an empire and they’ve been married for 30+ years

Just as an FYI, if someone is a registered voter you can just google their name and it’ll usually pull up their affiliation. I did it on a guy earlier today that I just started dating.

Spot on, except when he finally made good money (with a job I got for him) he spent in on an expensive sports car instead of helping me with rent and everything else (which I had been solely paying for). I dumped him and to this day he’s still begging for me back. Boy bye.

Men also say “men can’t be friends with women, they only do it in hopes to fuck them” so which one is it?
