Haven’t heard of many male teachers doing this these days…

Plenty of clumps of cells are now walking the earth in grown up bodies.

Calvin Klein labels you that? Or the fat liberal who dyes her armpit hair? There is a big difference.

You nailed it friend, the whole “yaaas queen” mentality has to go. Help your friends when you can, accept them as they are when you can’t, and be smart enough to know the difference so you can still cultivate meaningful relationships.

I agree with you to a point. I think you can believe someone is beautiful and not condone their lifestyle as a healthy. Whether that is because they are fat, a smoker, or on some kind of chemical dependency. Appreciation of the person themself is not a sign-off on their medical health.

It’s because you’re having an intellectually dishonest debate. But it’s cool, head on back to the art subs and continue to draw your ideal versions of (for some odd reason) Asian children.

Ah I see where this is going. No need to devolve into trolling. If you want to spend your time and energy shaming people who you don’t know, by all means.

Well the photo was clearly from a Calvin Klein instagram add. It was the first couple of photos on their page. Literally took 5 seconds to find out who it was. So wanting to get a little more context to her actual figure/proportions does not make someone an activist. It makes them an information seeker. Some photos are posted to demonstrate a bias.

The woman in the photo is Minami Gessel, she’s definitely a plus sized model, but from some of her other photos I wouldn’t put her in the morbidly obese category.

You’re assuming fat people are depressed and it’s due to their weight and perhaps that’s your own unhappiness being projected onto other people. Many of them are perfectly happy carrying a few extra pounds. Of course I’m talking about like the thicc overweight, not the Lizzo overweight.

They might be ugly to you, but they're not ugly to everybody. And I think I understand you perfectly. People are fat for all kinds of reasons (laziness included), but it's not as simple as laziness and overeating as you make it out to be. I mean it is that simple (Calories in, Calories out), but there are all kinds of variables out there you clearly do not understand. You come across like the judgmental religious person who wants everyone to follow their little rulebook, because you found the ri…

Now I'm encouraging them? Where? I'm just saying don't shame them for buying clothes that fit, and it's ok to mind your own business. Just because someone is fat doesn't mean they should have to live their life wearing sweatpants and parachutes. You sound like a very closed minded individual.

Pressure to fit your idea of a mold people should fit into? Interesting take, coming from an artist. It should be noted that the idea of beauty has changed over the years, from plump, to fat, to skinny, to unhealthily skinny, and it wasn't too long ago where every model was a stick figure, and every "plus sized" model was what most people would consider to be a healthy weight. There are plenty of variations of "overweight" and not all of them are unhealthy.

I agree with this, marketing to fat people is not pandering. It's showing real people what they might really looking wearing a companies products. But constantly marketing to the gay/trans community is also fine...if a company wants to market to the 3.5% of the population that identifies as gay (or 0.3% for trans). There's also nothing wrong with just including them in an advertisement or in your product lineup if they so desire, but when damn near every advertisement has a gay/trans slant to it…

I know this sub is mainly dedicated to trashing anything feminist related (which I am ok with), but lets not conflate wokeism with the fact that fat people exist and even though most of them aren't 100% ok with it, they, too, deserve to buy clothes that fit properly and make them feel good. I don't agree that people should be forced to find fat people attractive, but there's nothing wrong with advertising to fat people, and selling them clothes that they feel they look better in. People have vic…

Yeah, I’m not trying to victim blame, but one could reasonably argue she did it willingly, thinking it would further her career. Feeling scummy about someone you had sex with is not rape, it’s called the walk of shame (and we’ve all been there).

I guess that was my point. It’s not so much a wage gap as it is a desire gap. Would be happy to see more women pipe-fitters and iron workers in the field…

I know you’re not arguing this fact, but I just want to throw out that there is no wage gap whatsoever.

Send her back the snippet of the 45 other unread messages so she realizes she’s not the main character. Then show her which one is the apostrophe, and how it’s different than an open quotation mark. 😂😂

Hilarious that you make that comment towards someone who constantly (convincingly) argues that we should judge people on the content of their character rather and their race or gender. And here you are discarding a true PPD ally because you don’t like what she’s wearing.

Some men love to find women with daddy issues in an attempt to heal them or fix them. The whole damsel in distress bit, no doubt.

Given the number of women who are disrespected (and learn to be okay with disrespecting themselves) by being sexually exploited, I’d have to disagree with you.

Really annoying watching cops explain their legal authority to the citizen. It’s not your job to educate them, tell them what they need to and as long as it’s a legal order if they don’t understand it, that’s on them. Handle your fucking business and move on. Ask. Tell. Make. Don’t sit there and conduct a fucking law class.
