Bring a notebook so you can write down the steps to take, who else you could/should be consulting (CPA or financial advisor), and after that you can build out a time table and checklist for each task. Good luck with your consultation. We’re all here if you need us

This is how I’m going… one time lump and child support payments. Big one time hit but totally worth it. It’s also in the long run cheaper.

Sorry… failure on my part by not actually answering your question… feel free to downvote previous. Is it salvageable? Sorry but It does not sound like it is. Even if you’re willing to put in the work to meet her halfway on things to make it through this, it sounds like she isn’t bringing the same effort/energy to the situation.

What state do you live in and does it have to be joint filing for dissolution of marriage or can you proceed with a unilateral filing?
