Agreed on the assessment that you both need to work on concise communication. As well as listening to each other. However, clearly your opinions struck a cord with her and yes this is probably the proverbial last straw. Try listening and hearing each other instead entrenching yourself further in your perspective. Your kids are smart and perceptive. Give them a chance to see that whole picture. Maybe not today but I promise they will see all the effort and hold it in their hearts. (As a child of divorce myself) it’s hard but keep the line of being the best dad you can be and fuck her projections. Those are her projections, her feelings. Feelings are not the same as facts. Remember that. She is having emotional responses. That doesn’t make you and your parenting style the enemy.

My bf’s ex is the same. Just keep your comms to the kids and let the rest go. People like that expose their own toxic traits. Be the best dad you can be!
