It depends. If I want children, my ideal age for a woman would be between 20 - 30 because biologists have found that is when a human female is at her "peak" for healthy conception. This will hold doubly true if I'm over 40, because if there's a chance a child could be born with some sort of developmental disorder due to my relatively advanced age, why would I compound the issue by trying to conceive with someone who's also not at their peak? I hope I haven't misunderstood your second paragraph, but valuing looks is not a naturalistic fallacy at all--for men or women. Healthy, well-fed, and largely stress-free children tend to have clearer skin, symmetric bodies (especially faces), and are taller as they grow older. You can actually tell a lot about a person's upbringing by how they look once they reach adulthood (by 'look' I mean the things they mostly can't control; i.e., height, facial features, etc).
