Who's having kids? My generation definitely isn't. These are gripes about domestic life that most men of my generation do not have access to in the first place. We're not living with partners.

It's not a given that she has contributed, and many kinds of contracts have clauses where if you breach the terms of it then you forfeit what you receive from the contract. As the party who's breaking the contract, I'm not inclined to be sympathetic to leaving her without anything. Would I do that to my ex-wife, nope. But I'm not going to act like it's crazy. If you are trying to argue that this is society's view, I have a bridge to sell you. I'm arguing that this is many women's view of themsel…

Because the starting point for many women is to have no responsibility. And you're showing a good example with the excuses for the post marriage and kids lesbians. Doesn't matter what the damage is to other people or how practical the change asked for is, it's too much and it's unfair. Starting the conversation on what women should do will be complemented by the many conversations that have already happened privately and publicly about what men should be doing. We are told to wrap it up, we are …

Women are allowed to stop struggling without being deemed a failure. That's all I meant by working hard. I'm not saying women don't work hard. But nobody expects to you work yourself into the grave just to make other people happy. You can tell them to go to hell, you can cut ties, you can focus on yourself and do whatever you want to make yourself feel better.

Because women are half of society. No one can do anything here without affecting the other. And the impetus for men organizing and improving themselves is often women and their relationships. Men will never do anything in a vacuum and they're not going to pretend that women aren't involved. That's the thing, men aren't apathetic toward women. They feel things, and that has social affects on what men are willing and not willing to do with each other.

At some point you have to factor in the elephant in the room. None of this is relevant if people simply want to talk to you. And by people, I mean women. All of this minutiae is only perceptible because women are generally disengaged from this process. And like it that way. They like this world where men don't talk to them because the lighting isn't right and things aren't exactly optimal for making small talk. The perfectionism that leads to ruminating on these things only serves to keep men mo…

Men have agency too. Yes they do. And they're using it. That's why they're voting for right wing parties and starting their podcasts and sharing their statistics. That's men using their agency, shifting their mindsets and learning to support each other. Using women as an outside force to organize against. Women do not like it when men take things into their own hands without their input being welcome. Hence the backlash to the above. I don't the situation is hopeless, it's just going to come to …

“look at these women being unsympathetic, therefore stay silent and suffer.” That sounds less like a solution and more like giving up. Do you think men kill themselves because they're bored? They do it because they're beat down and they don't want to struggle anymore. You can’t complain that nobody is helping men and then turn around and tell men their only option is to shut up and suffer. It's not their only option, I was explaining to you why your original question about men's attitudes contri…

I just don't think men should be doormats for women to wipe their feet on. Socialism is about people standing up for themselves and protecting their right to a dignified life. - What patterns have you personally noticed in your own experiences? I attract women that don't take care of themselves, in some fashion. I give people that I have many misgivings about chances and once I've fought my own instincts for a few weeks to spare their feelings, I break up with them and take really long break from dating. Because women like that are damn near the only ones that I can find that are interested. And they're not necessarily doing poorly for themselves. Most make good money…

Read the responses from the other women here. You don’t think that contributes to loneliness, isolation, and poor mental health? Giving people a coping mechanism that works poorly and giving people the problems that they have to cope with are two different things. Life for men is about working hard and doing whatever you can to keep yourself working. Men are supposed to be more discerning It's not just this, but also the opposite has become the case for women. Less discerning, less considerate, etc. Men have heightened behavioral expectations, but they're also packaged with the destruction of many of the expectations that already existed for women. Things as simple as basic courtesy when speaking to other people are no longer universally understood as manners. It's seen as unnecessary or even that men aren't worth speaking to in a respectful…

That feminism is also teaching women to hate men… but it’s not. Just cause the casual hatred of men doesn't register to you doesn't make it not real. Women tend to use social violence more than men, so it's easier to ignore and excuse the harm they do, but it's there. From the shunning, to the antagonizing, meanspirited put-downs, the weaponization of systems of authority, to the casual disregard of pretty much any thing remotely concerning men's quality of life, there's plenty reason to say tha…

Straight people can be open about attraction to one gender, but when a bi person talks about their sexuality, it's for social points? If a straight person has to display how "straight" they are everyone will assume they're in the closet. And sometimes they would be right. Heterosexuals don't generally socialize with one another based around their heterosexuality, and there are not yet straight pride parades around the country. Queerness of all kinds operates as a different kind of identity than …
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 06:11 PM

Why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 05:36 PM

I'm not saying they're lying. Just that they're under a kind of social pressure to claim identities that they'd otherwise probably not speak about much. Their social circles are what makes their sexuality relevant in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 05:36 PM

Gotta remember too, a lot of people just wanna be “interesting” or “special” so they’ll claim to be demisexual or whatever new sexuality or gender thing is coming out. Not all, but a good chunk. I think it's a byproduct of crowdsourcing their introspection. When you start defining yourself through the spaces you find yourself in and the people there, you place yourself in a position where group and personal identity stop being distinct. And I think that's why so many women end up as half-practic…

I think it doesn't help understanding much that many women can exist at any point of the spectrum depending on who they're talking to, what stage of their cycle they're on, what medicines they're taking, etc. I think this is one of those things where we try to map a male experience of sexuality onto women and it leads to confusion when a concrete definition of a word doesn't capture the reality. I don't know if we'd need a new word or not, but I feel like we only have this particular conversatio…

It’s hard to ‘choose well’ when you are so naive I think I have a hard time accepting that it's not normal to be self aware at younger ages, in the way I'm accustomed to anyway. Like, there were things I didn't know how to do or didn't have experience with, because I was young. But the idea that I would be okay "dating" anyone significantly older than me just feels like bad news on its face. I never quite get how it ever seems like a good idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 06:30 PM

Yes you're outliers. Edit: And that's not a bad thing, I feel I should add. But seriously, most people aren't wired like this. Dating wouldn't be this broken if this was what men were dealing with.

Puberty doesn't make you more mature. It just makes other people treat you that way. And you know what stunts people's emotional growth? Being forced into roles they're not ready for. There's nothing about body hair and your voice changing that makes you more mature. It just means adults start looking at you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 04:22 PM

I think it's hopelessness from having their struggles in life go unsupported and knowing just how little help is on the way for them. Some of it does come from the women in their lives. Women like the original comment definitely push men to suicide. Could you imagine having your life fall apart and the only people you know is someone who talks like that? You're screwed. It's more than just "women", but the more women there are who end up like this, the more they contribute to those numbers. Wome…

You're attacking an idea that I didn't propose. I never said that women shouldn't be able to talk to each other. I would like them to be more conscientious in the conclusions that they come to. But unfortunately, that isn't happening currently because it spreads faster than critical thinking can keep up with. The Kill All Men types aren't cautious, they're provocateurs and they revil in belittling and attacking men. That's not learning from other women's experiences, it's using them as a justifi…

You've got to be a really strange man for us to have no clue why you did something. I don't think that behavior is inherent to men if that's what you mean. It's part of human nature obviously, given that we do it, dependably and repeatedly over time, but no I wouldn't define those things as part of being a man. I think you're misreading the comment. But let me re-read it

If women's anger was directed at the men responsible for those things then you would have a point. But it's not. If you're a man. You're always as good as the worst of the worst, and there is no way for men to defend themselves from that. And because of the ways women socialize, they can't get away from it either. Because every prejudice women have becomes a social contagion. People who've never had a negative experience with a man in real life will vicariously take on the grievances of other wo…

That's the thing. It's only loser and winners when dating is dominated by the kinds of sociopathic dating norms we have currently. I think a solution would have to start with dismantling the institutions that keep pushing people toward those extremes. Like, I think the reason why so many men's sexualities are disregulated/dysfunctional is because the threshold for engaging with women is so high and finding reciprocal attention can take years for some guys. And the apps only make that worse. The less online we all are, the more healthy things can get. It doesn't fix anything on its own, but so long as online is a factor, peo…

It's not because of different experiences. It's just mental capacity. Empathy is for bridging the gaps between people's experiences. That's its function. But you have to have it to use it. There's more than enough of people's experiences and emotions getting thrown back and forth for those that are capable of empathizing to do so. Most just don't have the inclination or desire to use what little they have, if they have any. Edit: Men don’t like dating because it involves exposing themselves to p…

/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:53 PM

Thank you. Honestly, I just don't get how you're supposed to find good people. Cause I know it's not like this for everybody and I know there are women who don't have a complex about this stuff...somewhere. I just don't meet them. So long as it doesn't involve dating, it's easier to find people. But there's just something about a man wanting a partner that's offputting to the people I've called friends. Is that not your experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:51 PM

No, it's step 2 and ignoring step 1 is why these conversations go in circles. More men want to date than just the ones you think deserve to.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:40 PM

That light going out was him mentally preparing to put his time and energy elsewhere. We don't find love by sitting around waiting for random acts of chance. We have to go make it happen. That takes time and energy. Time and energy that continuing to talk to you uses up. That's not your humanity being disregarded, that's him reorienting where he puts his effort. Cause his effort is the only way he's going to get what he's looking for. And talking to you isn't going to help him.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:37 PM

This would mean finding women our age that aren't bigots who actually want us to succeed in dating. Most women either don't give a damn or actively repulsed by the idea that you would ever ask for even the most basic form of support. Helpful women are a positive. You're not always going to find that.

If you just expect people to pop into your life from the smoke and fog, then yeah you're going to be pretty blind. What have you been doing all your life? /r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 11:47 AM

Do you think that saying the n word when you’re 12 years old permanently defines you as a racist? Racism is more complicated than that. And the amount of people that are just a more experienced version of the person they were when they were 12 is damn high. Keeping yourself safe is not a punishment. If you cannot understand the argument, then you need to read it again. Women who are afraid of men and dating should stay home if they are so afraid. I know a guy who got mugged and beat up a bit a few years ago, he still admits to being a bit nervous and jumpy, especially when he's walking around alone at night. Should he stay the fuck home? Nah, these girls are just like this. They will transition from being antisocial and single, to selectively social with whoever they make an exception for and leave the dating pool. There is no dating slump to get over. This is just how it is. A joyless grind trying to find one person in a million who'll give you the time of day who isn't a complete mess themselves.

I'm not defending this guy's language. But women don't give a damn about men regardless of how the point is made. It's up to women to incentivize men to speak respectfully. Because men get the same responses regardless. Your mind isn't going to change, your behavior isn't either. That's the whole point of speaking to another person, to spur on a change of actions. Women like how they handle things with men, they have no reason to change as they already do what they want. Why should women feel fo…

By your logic, locking your front door would mean you should never leave your house. I'm not complaining about how dangerous leaving the house is. And I'm not trying to coordinate with other people not to open their front doors. Consistency isn't there. Their mouths say one thing, their actions say another. And men are expected to weigh the two equally and take those disparate complaints and concerns into account. As if we can do anything about any of them.

I don't like agreeing with you, but seriously. Men's goodwill toward women is a society stabilizer. And when it doesn't exist, things gets bad. The Taliban is a prime example of what happens when the special affordances to women are consciously dismantled. And I'm tired of women on subs like these taking these observations as a threat themselves. The threat comes from empowering the kinds of men who genuinely do not give a shit if they breathe or not to spread their worldview.

Because most of the population of this country is mentally ill, it's not an avoidable part of life. We're losing our minds here, there is no fully sane dating pool. There's just varying levels of functional mental illness. Some people are medicated, some people aren't but there's no getting away from it. We have the most medicated population on the face of the planet, and the women are more diagnosed than men are. It's just how it is.

I’m not sure how you view husbandry as men “being used” but not wife cognate as women being used? Men are expected to make the happiness of their partner their obligation. It's not mutual or balanced. If a man is not happy in a relationship, he doesn't deserve a partner. If a woman isn't happy, she deserves someone better. And those dynamics are only more consequential and pronounced in marriage. Between divorce, capacity to cheat, division of wage labor (most relationships men are working more …

No, because wifery in our current society is not defined strictly as being useful to a man in the way that husbandry is. The reason why husband material is seen as an insult is because it reduces a man to their utility. Being in a relationship with them is convenient, they're useful. Do you believe that everyone should be “consistent” over their lifetime? So basically, if a woman tries a sex act at like 19, and she hates it; to be consistent with her future lovers she should do the same act that she hates? No and no. Exactly. Women don't recognize the level of power they have within society and acknowledging any of it immediately shifts the conversation to a place they don't want to be in. It stops being about "What men did to me" and turns into "What you do to men" and they can't stand it.

Nobody argues that it removes responsibility except for those with your position. Men are capable of admitting that something is wrong while also engaging with why it happens. Cause why is important. And the general you are the why. Also, calling women “responsible” for men’s dishonesty is backwards. It's not, you're literally the source. If your behavior changed, the lying would go away. Men becoming liars is women’s fault? If telling you the truth always means something bad for other people, yes it's your fault that other people lie to you. Take accountability for the incentives you create. If a guy yells at women all the time and nobody wants to be around them, you're not going to tell the people being yelled at that they need to take accountability. You treat people a certain way, you'll get a certain reaction.

I don't hate yall and I do care. Its just that in dating we are harmed more than men are harmed in dating This line of reasoning doesn't hold up when you look at the men women take for partners, how quickly they have sex, etc. When women think a man is attractive, they don't give a rat's ass about safety. These are post-hoc rationalizations, not reasons. Women are not careful.

I find the preoccupation with whether feelings are "justified" or "valid" very male-brained. It's important to be able to justify emotions, that's how you keep track of whether you are connected to reality, whether you're sane. Is it male-brained to care about sanity?

No, access to options, cultural power to dictate the terms of engaging with them and the power to punish people who deviate from whatever norms they set. That's power. If a guy can get expelled, fired, or arrested because a woman doesn't like how he approaches her, that's not exercising a right to refusal, that's a power to destroy that can be abused against people who've done nothing wrong.

I'll qualify this opinion. What men need to do is leave women alone. Stop chasing them and stop trying to impress and get their attention. The problem comes from putting in an order of magnitude more energy into the dynamic than what's received. Men, for a whole host of reasons, are in the position to be the primer for relationships. I don't like it, but it is simply the case that things aren't going to happen 8/10 times if a man doesn't start it up. But, we can perform that role without exhaust…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 05:00 AM

I think we got off on a misunderstanding. Women tone police both in public and private life. In public life, you're right, you're simply not going to reach people if you don't engage with their sensibilities in mind. But in private life, tone policing the people you live with is narcissistic and manipulative. You shouldn't have to negotiate basic cooperation with your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 06:31 PM

I understand that fine. I just don't think you should have to strategize around how you talk to your partner. You're speaking politics, I'm speaking domestic life.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 06:00 PM

If I feel like I have to market the truth to you, we're well past the point of a respectful exchange of information. If I have to baby someone I'm taking to, then you're right. With that said, it they don't want to hear it from you there's no reason to say it in the first place. But I and any man that actually has some basic respect for who they're talking are going to try to speak plainly and straight.

The way your perceive someone impacts what you think matters. And no, there's no way to tell someone something that they don't want to hear if they don't want to hear it and have them receive it well. It's not other people's job to tailor the information they give you to fit your delicate sensibilities. It's emotionally manipulative of you to start a conversation with the base premise of "If I don't like what you have to say I won't listen and that's your fault" Narcissists think like this.

And you mean courage is not inportant to women? Most women have no concept of it in the first place. Anxiety and apprehension are instincts that they accept completely, not try to fight against. I agree, a distinction should be drawn between tenable and untenable effort. And also, there should be an understanding of the different dispositions in partners that men find themselves with. There are women who become bored with consistency regardless of the quality, and there are women who are grateful to be treated well and don't change their minds if/when they get used to it. Find a woman whose sensibilities reflect what you can give and still remain healthy and yourself.

Because male disrespect can be handled much more freely than women's disrespect. And no one tells men to let disrespect from men slide. It's only women that men are punished for raising a word or a hand against. So you have to speak to men about women in particular. If I can't hit you, and I can't argue with you, and I can't get you punished by some sort of higher authority, the only options left are to proactively remove myself from the situation. And this is a situation that most men are going…

Straight dating doesn't work because most straight people are terrible matches for each other and the roles they're placed in. Why are you asking someone that isn't Red Pill about what Redpillers think? Why do they still ask for a traditional virgin woman when the lifestyle they chose will push them away further? This isn't a very common desire. Most adult men want women with a reasonable amount of experience. A few partners, some relationship experience. People that know what they want and what they like. This is true, but it doesn't then follow that men are more affected in the aggregate. I can understand the argument on a personal level because yeah, you're right. You can't get much more comphet than being forced to only engage with women. Women lack self-respect in the way that men understand the concept. It's not considered shameful to be directed by another person so long as you aren't literally ordering them. As a guy, there's very little difference between a unilateral suggestion that's expected to be agreed with and an order. Respect for myself and my own autonomy in the relationship would demand that I be consulted for my opinion. Not even because I'm going to disagree, but I'm not going to be party to decisions that don't …

Seeing them as "human" also discourages men away from courtship behaviors that are needed to get most women's romantic intention. If you tell a guy to treat a woman like a human being and not a "woman" it means treating her like he would want to be treated. And that just doesn't work with women. Because women don't respond to that. They respond to being treated like the recipient of desire. You just have to look good yourself, first.

It's not a big jump. Drafts are literally for increasing manpower. They are a measure to put more men under arms and into the military. Takes Congress Have you seen what's been happening this Administration? Congress has abdicated most of its authority and if he comes out and says we're starting a draft, they're not going to vote against it. trying to fix recruiting without blowing everything up politically. Yes. That is true. But you can't fix the recruitment issues without blowing everything u…

Except we all know, or used to know that those convos are tiktok or reddit online hysteric, When you're of an age where your peers are the people having those tiktok, reddit, online hysteric conversations, the line between reality and the internet isn't much of a line. Turning off my computer and getting perspective has often meant dealing with women who absolutely think like what I see online. They have other things going on, hating men isn't their only job, but they genuinely think and repeat …

They're slow-rolling a draft as we speak. Look, you're usually one of the more cogent people here and I respect that. But we absolutely could have a draft here. It would be poorly organized, likely to have massive draft dodging, legal challenges, etc. But it can be done. And the way we're headed it's more likely than not. You don't raise the age of enlistment just for shiggles. The US military has been hemorrhaging manpower over the last 20 years and those deficits will be made up for if they co…

Yeah, being more self-possessed/directed would be an improvement. It wouldn't change things as much on what they like, but at least the communal judgement could change to something more private. They're still going to like tall guys, but they wouldn't feel the need to talk about it all the time in mixed company.

Reciprocity is something that most women I've known have issues with. Either they overextend for people that give them nothing, or they give nothing/little to people who give them a great deal of something. Something can be attention, it can be help, it can be emotional support. I have more of an issue with the latter because it's not hard to tell someone that they don't have to do so much, much harder to tell someone that they're not doing enough. There's a lot of women who expect you to be Sup…

You realized you wouldn't be a good boyfriend for various reasons I realized that treatment that I considered the bare minimum was more than she had ever experienced with a man. And I realized that I couldn't be in a relationship long term if her expectations for me were going to be that low. I figured we'd be better off as friends. It'd be easier to keep a healthy balance that way, and hopefully I could help her have some higher standards. Your boyfriend is supposed to like you and treat you li…

Policing the anti-social behavior of other women rather than publicly celebrating it. This is a complex social problem that no woman can fix on their own, but the least that can be asked of everyone is to stop putting their weight on the scales. You can't save everybody, you don't have to be a saint, just stop laughing while men's lives get worse will go a long way to lowering the temperature in the room. It's way too easy currently to poison young men against women now, and it's because there's…

Most women are not taught to think of society in terms of power dynamics that are both changeable and potentially life threatening. Which is ironic given how many of the narratives in their spaces around dating and men revolve around those exact same concepts. They just don't feel that they're part of the balance of society and they resent the responsibility for their own condition and perception within society that comes from being part of it. Like it seems to be on a lot of subjects, women en …

That's not always emotionally satisfying for women in a way that will keep them coming back for more. Sometimes when women want to have sex with a man, it's specifically for a kind of sex that men who are on the smaller side can't give.

Bots are often the first to a post, they wouldn't be very useful if they didn't show up early. The whole point of troll farms and bots is to shape discourse. Negative, hateful discourse is usually the goal. So they show up early.

That's because men are valued for utility. People will assume that there's something they're missing about a guy when they see a couple that doesn't make sense to them. They still think it's weird. They just don't think a guy's just going to be lucky, there has to be a reason. So they'll make up one to feel better about what they're seeing. Also, if you're in the south, being a bit fat down here is just normal. So long as you're not morbidly obese, you're just heavy. And most of the people here …

Why don't fat males receive death/rape threats on dating apps? Because women don't want to interact with them in these ways. They don't want to be perceived by unattractive men. Why would they threaten them? There's no motive. Why aren't fat men constantly reminded that no one ever gonna love them and that they have no value They are, on dating apps, where nobody talks to them. The silence does the speaking for you, sis. because the one value they would have, their looks, isn't there because the…

Since when are people nice to any demographic of men. There's no concerted effort to tear down what people already don't value. You can't take subtract from zero. They get no love and they will continue to get no love. Fat women are attacked to strip them of the privilege of womanhood, that's the expectation to be defended in public life by strangers. It's a way to say "she's not worth protecting like the other women". No such privilege exists for men, and they already know that if they do somet…

Poor impulse control, low conscientiousness. Some people just don't like to think hard and make healthy decisions for themselves. Weakminded people are everywhere, and they will put the whole bottle of their dressing on a salad and get confused why they're blowing up like a balloon. A mindset where you don't think about consequences until you already have them is how people gain weight.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 01:06 PM

I will indulge your question, but not your premise. Fat women are attacked because they're one of the least protected kinds of women. They're the least cared for or respected. Some of it is because of cultural values, we associate larger women with sinful, negative qualities like gluttony, sloth. And that's an open door to other kinds of judgment. If you feel justified in attacking someone's character, there's not much holding you back from attacking other things. If she's lazy, if she's ugly, i…
