I agree. You'd think that as species we would sexually select for intelligence, but that's just not the case. I feel that smarter people in general, not just men, are favored only when they dumb themselves down. No one likes over thinkers, in fact most people hate using their brains, especially when it comes to romance.

Almost all men are fucking dickheads and use whatever power that they get to put other men down. Male friend groups will have at least one guy as the designated punching bag, when that guy leaves then another person is pulled into the role (sometimes a new guy is invited into the group for this reason). A lot of times the reason why this guy is harrased is because the group is secretly jealous of him. I was like this for one group, immediately realized what was happening and left, I'm not except…

what are you on about, the statement "half of Gen Z is already finished college and unemployed" is just false. Its true that Genz faces a ton of unemployment but its not as crazy as half of us.

Should have explained more what I was trying to say but yeah, I agree this is just one of the things literally everyone, not just men, should be careful of. The coworker thing also something anybody should just be aware can become sour very quickly (i.e. you can lose your job). I might be pressing on too much but I think this all depends on what someone's version of "romancing" is. If its them bottling and building up feelings and then asking a do or die question like "I like you lets go out" th…

omg wth. I said there's nuance to this, of course its insane to try to start a relationship with ALL of your female friends. But most serious relationships in general start with friends or friends of friends. But yes, guys not having any awareness and just trying to flirt constantly with friends who won't ever reciprocate is a problem, never said that it wasn't. This is about being aware of the emotional connection that you can form rather than just playing a numbers game with random female acqu…

You mention that your friends are now married and have kids, are you older genz or millennial?

I think this goes more into popular opinion about how trying to date friends is super wrong. And I mean yeah true, but it depends. You are allowed to form some minimum amount of connection or at least find a way to see your dating ideals align with a woman. What's weird is if you just reveal out the blue that you want to date without any romantic reciprocation from an obviously platonic friendship

nah you got it bro Im delusional, like ofc how did I not think of that. In reality women are wary of men they don't know about and male acquaintances who are incapable of communicating their real feelings and who instead put up a front. Also just by data alone genz couples are way more often to start off as friends before dating than other ways. Don't know what ur calling me crazy for dude

I mean this should be the alternative to try instead of things like dating apps which are highly impersonal, and where people are just going to ignore you. Just by existing as an adult you need to work, if you are a student you need to go college. Simply making friendships with the opposite gender in these workplace or classroom settings cannot be this hard. You are misunderstanding me. This is not about telling a starving person "You should only eat lobsters with a high amount of butter", this …

If it was easy in the sense of what? Talking to a coworker or classmate, building some a friendship with them, seeing if your interests align? I feel like people are making this out to be some sort of impossible task.

You prob have some muscle to show for it. At least now I think its mostly about looking as masculine as possible, you need not be super cut or lean.

Girls will ignore you at the club because you are taking yourself to mill ave dude thats why

Lol just no, not general not everyone is racist and not everyone has horrible takes on indians, especially outside of redditor spaces. Like just because your opinion is super low does not mean everyone else is supposed to feel the same way.

tbh this is mostly just older men who are completely out of touch and have exceptionally crazy age standards for women.

I go to asu Ive seen a couple of quite a few Indian men date outside of their race or just date in general. Some are good looking some are not -- as much as I dont want to claim it the Indian guys who dont have trouble typically just have a very different mindset and arent stuck in their head.

I agree its fomo but guys in general measure each other up not by how other men treat them but by how we think women feel about us individually. The tunnel vision can get to absolutely insane proportions but men will always use biology as an excuse that males are born to walk over each other and compete for women no matter what because our genetics demand it. There is an understanding that we are completely capable of decentering women, but the idea of doing it has become taboo so many men refus…

You're saying that if you are in a relationship with someone who likes you for who you are, they themselves not easily replaceable - right? I agree, but you should not worry about that. You will be better off ignoring the trends and focusing on the reality - You have a partner who likes you for who you are They wont want to replace you or "experiment" (i.e. cheat) And if you also like your partner for who they are, then you for sure shouldnt worry. Why concern yourself about how easily replaceab…

You are replaceable only to people who see you as that Whether someone is "easily replaceable" or not depends on the partner they choose, it is very much relative and has less to do with the majority than you think

I dont know, could you maybe just not let yourself get involved with those women? I feel like its very easy to spot someone (regardless of gender) who might have the "If this person does something small I that dont like I will replace them" mentality. They just give off that kind of vibe Plus why would you let statistics bog you down for something like this? Even if it is true that a woman could replace you for something small, it does not mean that you have to engage with women who act on that …
