This is so true thank you. I needed to read this today.

Yes you put this into words that I couldn't articulate. Completely agree.

Good point that's definitely a possibility and more than likely what he was actually doing.

Yes thank you. I was self aware in my post by commenting maybe I'm not fully comfortable with boundaries yet. And that's something I need to work on. But she asked and I gave a personal example. That doesn't negate what she said and I am taking into account what several people have said similar to you and I agree. I think I need to be more strict in my thinking about boundaries.

I went through her account. I really can't tell if it's satire or not. But even if it is there hoards of men agreeing with her. And it's a dangerous rhetoric. So women are finally standing up for themselves and she seems an opportunity to make fun of it and goes for it for clout. Not a fan. I went through and commented on other videos of hers. And I said "so your humor appeals to men I get it now" and she said "that's very hetero normative of you." I just laughed and told her to get that bag. I …

So true my ex who was abusive accused me of cheating on him when I told him another friend got hands with me. I was venting to that friend about my relationship and he took that as an opportunity to touch my leg. Ugh. So for some dumb reason I thought my ex would be angry with him. It was me he was angry with. And that led to a horrible abusive episode. Which he still denies of course. But I woke up with bruises around my neck shaped like hand prints.... Waiting for court that's happening two ye…

I think* I disagree respectfully with the others. I had Covid and it was so miserable and I was sick for a week before I went to the hospital for pneumonia. I was then home for another town weeks when I got back. I was so very lonely during that. I got it two days before my vaccine appt in March. It was hard. I would have appreciated a get well or how you're feeling text? I think lol. I wouldn't have been able to respond right away. But I so so appreciated the few people who made sure to check i…

This was me for years before my last relationship (which ended horribly spawning me to look inwards and do some self reflection on who I allowed around.) I hung out with a bunch of musicians and artists in general. And I thought being the one who didn't get attached to most people and would just come and go wasn't hurting me. Truth of the matter was I was really in love with my musician friend and I wanted to seem cool and relaxed to be invited to stay around. Super pick me attitude and I feel b…

That's a good point. Who knows what's going on. Sounds very abusive. Ugh Chris watts. I was in two abusive relationships including my daughters father so I know the scary and uncertain feeling all too well. It is definitely a case by case basis. But yeah the age gap thing is a factor I don't really know about when it comes to serious relationships. But I was groomed when I was younger and I'm lucky I made it out alive. I hate our justice system. I don't trust them to keep women safe at all. I ha…

Yep my ex did that for years. He would keep her on the weekend but refused to help any other time at all. Like if she was sick etc I ended up dropping out of college at one point because I kept having to leave my classes. He would also make sure he didn't approve of me as a mom constantly. While I would stroke his ego. Then when I started a relationship 8 years after we broke up he suddenly got interested and was accusing me of being a bad mom etc and saying he'd sue me for custody. He was right…

Yeah. My ex was abusive to me financially and disappeared for an entire year to India etc. But I eventually got him to court. It did take a long time. And I left him when my daughter was a bit older. I wish sometimes I just completely cut ties with him because I am still controlled by his parents wealth essentially. But I did get support from them and him financially when my daughter was younger and I really needed it. Still though it was a pain in the ass and probably took years off my life str…

Won't ask for child support? Ahhh how do women get that ingrained in misogyny. It just boggles my mind. Like even when I was down bad I never felt bad about asking for child support. I still ended up getting the shit end of the stick. But I knew my ex needed to support me financially. I just don't get it.

Agreed I can't believe how many sexual encounters I had where I didn't come. In fact I can only think of abut five times in my life where I have with a partner and it's always been because I pushed them to continue etc. Even with froeplay men can be aggressive and inefficient. More about how it's looking then how I feel. I'm 33. It depresses me when I think about it because I let so many men use me for their pleasure and i thought it meant they liked me. Ahhh at least I learned eventually.

Lmao. I love her. I hate these dudes that ask these questions omg they're so egotistical and annoying. This guy in Htown stopped to ask me how I felt about women cheating and I went off on a rant 😂 he definitely didn't post my videos.

He also went to different countries and went to strop clubs etc while I was home taking care of my daughter and a foster child. Which he hid all the money from me even though I did 100% of the work for years. We bought the foster children a ton of stuff and took them on family vacation etc. I was young and dumb. But I should have had access to that money whenever I wanted to go shopping for the foster kids not what he would give me. Anyways he now takes all the credit for becoming a foster paren…

Heres a few ways I was financially abused. Not letting me work. Controlling the bank account. Taking out taxes to pay for whatever he wanted. Taking a loan on our home to get porcelain veneers. When we split I had to pay back loans and taxes when I filed because he didn't file. Letting our house foreclose before I could do anything. Taking off for a year before the divorce and hiding money and not having a job when we went to get our child support agreement. Having his dad pay bills and support …

I agree she needs her phone returned. Her phone being taken away essentially says it was her fault she was coerced and makes her feel even more awkward. But I agree that it's awesome she came to you.

Or he lives with several male roommates and claims they are the ones who are unclean. That's he's tried. Until you move in together and then he expects you to be his mom and pay bills. "hypothetically"

My best friend is going through something similar. She went to a pool party and was with a women and man she knew. She got drunk fast she's tiny and it was hot outside. The women she knew left her with the guy when he started getting handsy saying she didn't want to be involved even though my friend was clearly intoxicated. He then "took care of her" by taking her in his car. Where she threw up. Then to a hotel where she woke up with him raping her. She also refused to call it rape at first. And…

I've had so many people tell me this lol ugh I don't even wanna date at this point. I just want to be myself. Minus toxic stuff of course. But when I'm happy and being excited and stuff and you tell me Im too much or too loud or whatever it may be I'm no longer interested in being friends much less dating.

Not in the same shape now. But I was so into running at one point I could out run some of my male friends. But not all. A guy at the time who probably could have out run me and my other non toxic male friend, decided he was so much better he would run with a backpack with weights in it. He ended up stopping mid way and we finished. Men can not at all handle the idea that women can be better then them at anything.

Ah gotcha that's definitely a great way to see a red flag that isn't so apparent. After being manipulated by far too many men this makes total sense to me. I'm completely off of trying to date right now but will def keep that in mind. Thank you for explaining.

This is really problematic in my eyes. TW I was sexually assaulted when I was 12. I was groomed when I was 13. It had nothing to do with my choices but my mom's mental illness and lack of supervision. Alcohol and clothes have nothing to with it. Being able to go out and dance in Texas when it's hot requires wearing little clothes. When I go swimming at the river I'm gonna wear little clothes. I appreciate that the idea that sex work and etc are empowering is pretty much bs. But unless you've gro…

I lost a ton of friends. It's a year later and sometimes I'm still very sore about it. But my advice aside from the wonderful advice that everyone else is sharing is to not take it personal. A lot of women and men have toxic masculinity seeping through their brains. And I've realized how the women who abandoned me are actually very unhappy in their own relationships and seeing me become healthy doesn't work for their illusion about how life should be. I've been asked what did you do? Why? Like I…

Likewise it was short but wow. The amount of mega negative men who want to degrade you is crazy. I assumed it would be sweet guys who just couldn't talk to women or didn't want a full relationship and wanted to help out. Hell no. Some of these guys literally get off on emotional torture. Luckily I was old enough or aware enough to be able to immediately cut off or block men but I worry about younger women or those who haven't healed etc Side not to the main post We also need to address how the p…

It's capitalism what do we expect. We aren't gonna do away with people being desperate until we get rid of it. It's not beneficial for everyone. So sure maybe one or two women can have 70k volvos and Apts. But it's not sustainable.

This is very accurate. After being single for close to seven years (I wasn't unhappy just waiting.) I decided to give a friend of mine the chance. He love bombed me etc. Fast forward three years he had abused me slowly building each time until I realized what I allowed myself to be apart of. We also drank constantly and he brought booze home constantly to ensure we were always drunk. Anywho there were signs before. At my birthday party years before in a drunken rage threw a chair at the bar. Als…

Wow the smile thing is spot on and I feel like a light bulb just turned on. Thats why they always want us to smile. It's not just because they think women should always be pleasant they think we aren't smiling at them because of their own insecurities. Holyyyyy shit.

None of the dating app guys ever align with my values. I've tried and tried. They're always looking to hook up. They don't care about activism or advocacy, things that mean a lot to me but they sure pretend. I finally deleted them all after using them during my rebound /boredom from the pandemic. Guy's will lie thinking they're going to get laid. I saw a tik tok saying 40% of the men are already in relationships. Ahhh it's so true. I have never actually been interested in anyone I met from a dat…
