A few things... 1. Go to him with your problem "Honey, I'm really struggling with maintaining the house up to your standards. I just can't work full time, keto the house spotless, and do basic maintenance. What should I do?" 2. You're not married, so be willing to walk away. I'm NOT saying you should walk away, but stop acting like a wife and act like a girlfriend. Go out of town on a whim without him, make plans, maintain your finances. Not in a spiteful way, but in a, "I'm free to live my life…

I completely understand letting yourself get lost in the guilt and becoming immobilized by it. I tend to be really hard on myself and it drives my husband crazy. I would encourage you to work on your mindset. Corinne Crabtree has a great podcast about getting out of your head -- she tends to be blunt and cusses a lot, so if that's not your style, be forewarned! Basically you have to stop talking to yourself like your worthless. Your husband obviously loves you, so live in the security and joy of…

I ghosted my husband for a month on e Harmony, then just slid into his DMs like nothing had happened. We've been married 6 years!

Steer into the awkwardness. Instead of joining in say, "You always make me laugh! I wish I could think of comebacks like yours!" You will never go wrong by being honest and building someone else up. If you struggle to get the joke, you're better off leaving it to people who do it naturally than accidentally saying something off putting. Most funny people want an audience, not a co-host.

First, it's important to realize your goal is not perfection, so creating a list of priorities is important that way when things get like they are falling apart, you know what to focus on. Every few months I make a list of what's happening in my life and prioritize it. It helps bring calm to the chaos. Second, schedule your personal-care first. By personal care, I mean working out, eating healthy, hygiene, etc. Then schedule your social life, then your work. In other words, don't let your work d…

I used e Harmony (7 years ago). I actually chatted with my now-husband for a week, then decided I wasn't interested and just stopped talking to him. Then one night I was feeling sorry for myself for being single, and a friend bluntly told me that my standards were ridiculous and I needed to at least give the guy a chance to buy me coffee. She forced me to send him another message (3 weeks later!), and thankfully he went along with it. My online dating advice is to treat it like a job interview. …

I think some of this might be pandemic stress. It's tough to have a social life right now. Invest in yourself, and hone the necessary skills to be a good match to someone. I also would try online dating (it worked for me!), and do whatever it takes to find one close friend. Join a gym, go to a Bible Study, go to a community college class... whatever falls into your interests!

Are you investing into your relationship outside of the bedroom? If your relationship is healthy, 15 pounds shouldn't makea difference. Instead of focusing on you or your baby, focus on your husband. Reconnect to his interests, make him feel special when he gets home, let him know you need him for more than just intimacy.

Honestly, just get on the floor and play with her. Don't force anything, just follow her lead. Ring around the Rosie and finger play songs are good

Cooking on the fly! Not with recipes or pre- planned menus, just being able to look in the pantry and freezer and pull it together. A cleaning routine that works for you...I like clean mama's routine Being able to politely decline invitations or expectations... Especially with your family. Get started saying no to dinner family stuff now before you have a husband, so they don't blame him for your sudden inability to attend everything. I have many friends (myself included) who have had to deal wi…

I would respond as if they are giving you a compliment - something like, "thanks for seeing my value" or "you know how to make me blush!" I'm guessing since you are meeting them at random, they just have low expectations and are surprised to actually meet a woman who isn't easy or feminist. It's probably more coincidental than anything negative about you.

What is your response when they say this? I could see it being a cry for validation. Also, I think age could come into play here. What your of guys are you dating? Age, job, appearance, etc. And how are you meeting them?

I met my husband online, and here are some things that I tell my friends: Get from chatting to an in person meeting within a week or 2. You don't really know if it's anything until you see them face to face. And don't be afraid of going on dates -- it's great practice and you never know who you might meet. Don't judge the guy based on his photos. My husband purposefully used bad photos of himself to weed out shallow girls. Be upfront about your values, personality, and what you're looking for --…

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Lead with gratitude and be very honest about your needs. My husband would rather have a well-rested wife in a good mood than a clean house and good dinner. So on those days, I just say, "I'm so sorry, I can't make dinner tonight and be in a good mood" and he is usually more than willing to pick something up or throw something together. I also do a lot of freezer meals, and I have a snack basket ready to go for my toddler in the fridge. It sounds like you've…

That's awesome. Handing over the finances has been so good for our marriage. It was a tad of an adjustment, but after a couple of months, he wasn't asking any questions, and I never think about it. It's great! I was doing so much - cooking, cleaning, finances, taking care of our baby, etc., so this was a nice tangible thing to say, "I can't do it anymore". And I love the fact that I ask him if I can spend money, and he is SO much more generous toward me than I ever was toward him. He's bought me…

When I handed over the finances, I created a spreadsheet with the list of bills, passwords, due dates, etc., but then I didn't say another word about it. I think if you've been dealing with the finances, it's only fair to pass along the info. The hardest part has been what to do with the bills when they come in the mail. I used to stick them in one place, but now he wants them on the side table by his chair, which drives me nuts, but I'm getting over it. :)

Do you have an "unwind" routine for the car? If not, I would figure out a way to unwind during your drive home -- even if it means taking a more scenic route. Then when you get home, greet him and jump in the shower. Unwind more in the shower until you're ready to interact with others. Basically, I think if you come up with an after work routine that he can count on, it might help.

I agree! Buy the clothes that make you feel feminine, stylish, and comfortable no matter your size! Stop buying the wrong size just because you might lose 10 pounds. Same goes for underwear!! If your bra or panties are uncomfortable, it shows on the outside. Find the perfect fit and be comfortable, so you can be confident.

My husband has Aspergers, and I will tell you straight away that it can be very challenging at times, but at the end of the day, he is the best husband. Regarding his clothing, once we were married, and I was doing the laundry, keeping house, and buying a lot of his clothes, this one kind of took care of itself. You might have a conversation with him about if he is okay with you doing his laundry and buying clothing for him before assuming that this one will be okay, but most guys are perfectly …

When you say "brake lights!" how does he respond? If he huffs or sighs and acts annoyed, then you might be best to close your eyes and pray and leave it alone at the moment. If he says "thanks!" or "I didn't see it," then continue doing what you're doing. As far as the safety aspect, I'd say this is something that would be best brought up outside of the car. You might ask what his favorite and least favorite things about the suburbs are, and if he likes driving. If he says he hates driving, then…
