She probably blocked you because 1) she felt foolish when you didn’t accept and 2) it helps to keep her from requesting you again. Ooooooooor I think if she blocks you before you see the request, it will remove the request from your notifications.

That’s terrible and I’m sorry you are going through that nonsense. Not helpful, but I did laugh when I read “being gay (not gay)”. So absurd. I stay strong 💪🏿

I just thought I was getting old. But yeah, looking back I’m a shell of the person I was. I used to laugh, make people laugh, have energy. I turned in to a finance machine just trying the family afloat. I go out golfing or lunch, I feel guilty almost. It’s like I can’t enjoy anything anymore

I don’t think you are selfish for not wanting to give up your dream job. Most people don’t make great money and love their job. It’s usually one of the other. Both of you are irresponsible it sounds, but nothing can be done about that now. Her getting off the pill sounds a bit suspect. Also, not sure why you have to give up your dream job, when she could just move to you. It’s a marriage, full of compromise. It’s not a dictatorship. What are the chances that you post this to internet strangers, …

As for the fall off the wagon part: We all fall off some times. It’s not easy, so let yourself off the hook. There is a decent, quick read book, that might help. Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Control Alcohol. Might be worth a read, even if you aren’t a reader. Hang in there and keep moving forward.

I started walking and it’s been better. It’s not a daunting exercise that can sometimes make people dread and quit. I throw on a podcast and put my dog on a leash. It’s helped

I take Wellbutrin and exercise. I’ve been on them for about 2 1/2 months. So far, so good. Everyone is different. I had bad experiences in the past with SSRI’s. The side effects on this for me have been minimal and short lived, basically while my body was adjusting. People have other positive side effects from it, such as weight loss and energy boosts. I was exercising and minimizing drinking before starting it, so I was already losing weight over the last 6-8 months. And of course, try therapy.…

There is no magic pill to help get you through this. It’s a good start that you came here to vent and get support. - Go to therapy. - Lean on family/friends. - Exercise. Something as simple as walking in the morning. - I use a self help app, as well. It has like 10 - 20 min sessions by topics like how to let go of regret, help with depression, anxiety. Just encouraging words for you to listen to.

Go get 50% of her retirement. Don’t feel any guilt about it. She could have not been contributing and taking extra pay home during your marriage to help pay for the cost of living. If the roles were reversed, trust me she would 1000% come after your retirement. Be strong. Good luck to you and the family

Does she have Snap chat? That seems to be the cheating app. The messages disappear, unless you save them. You could see her snap score, that shows how active she is on it, and you could see the person she messages the most frequently. I’m a newb. Maybe this is all well known to others. My kids have explained it to me

Nah, don’t be that guy. That’s the action of scorned woman. People’s reactions, outside of close family, aren’t going to be what you expect. Someone from HS posted something similar, and it was just shared amongst text groups and the people involved were the butt of many jokes. At the end of the day, people are pretty self centered and don’t care about your personal business.

I’m there but I’m still living in the situation. I was anti meds, besides my medical card. Very similar to you. Cut back on booze and weed. Exercising. I just started Wellbutrin. It’s helping with the ups and downs. I’m pretty even now a days and it helps with any cravings to drink. I’m supposed to move up from 150 to 300 mg next week. I have family members that are on it and swear by it. Seems to be helping with no negative side effects. I’m only on it a month. But everything you wrote sounds s…
