I'm not a fan of conventional sports like football or basketball, so I can't answer why others find appeal in it. I do think there's something more intrinsic to sport that fuels the human drive to participate and compete than crocheting, insofar as it's about moving your body (because almost everyone is able-bodied) in ways that immediately demonstrate skill, burn energy, arouse adrenaline, stimulate endorphins, restore health etc., whereas crocheting (which I do agree is an undervalued form of …

What does “real value” even mean? Even outside of sport, there’s no better way to spur innovation, discipline, achievement, camaraderie than competition. Competition doesn’t have to be antithetical to cooperation; the notion of sportsmanship itself (regardless of how much that plays out in reality) is centred around the activity of sport. Within sports, there’s something transcendental about following an athlete’s sacrifice and grit against untold obstacles that’s every bit as humanising as some…

As a bisexual woman, I don't refute this reality—I've seen it and lived it firsthand. It does make me despair that maybe relationships with men aren't cut out for me at all, since I love being the partner who does the chasing; I don't think I could be satisfied in a relationship where I couldn't act on that urge to show someone I'm interested in how much I want them.

Another complaint I see frequently levied against FDS & radical feminism is that we’re infantilising women by attributing their choices to the socialisation process (a real phenomenon sociologists study with real-world repercussions), but isn’t it more infantilising to believe that no woman would ever opt into misogynistic practices and that every choice a woman makes is automatically a feminist one 🙄

The global fight isn’t over yet 🙂 women in Afghanistan only just won the right to have their names allowed on the birth certificates of their children, and the Philippines still prohibit divorce.

So essentially the man will be a 2-3 right now and be judged as a 5, while the woman will be a 7-8 right now and be judged as a 5.

It’s crucial to clarify the strand of feminism too. Modern “choice” feminism—which focuses not on giving women choices, but on reassuring women that every choice they make must be a feminist one, whether it’s anal sex or compulsory make-up—is radical individualism in disguise, and implicitly antithetical to the progress of women’s liberty.

Leaving the dubious duplicity of the message aside...any scrote who doesn’t understand why this subreddit exists sounds like exactly the type of LVM we’re trying to avoid. If his intended questions aren’t going to be among the lines of “what trauma did you suffer in your life that made you so misandrous?” “why is pxrn a dealbreaker for you?” “don’t you think feminism has already achieved its goals?”, I’ll eat my own sock.

Because these men don’t just fetishise the appearance of youth, they fetishise the pliancy of youth. The two are always concomitant. And they have the audacity to call women predators.

So many famous men in history! When I think of the women who could have, and deserved to, eclipse history with their glory, Nettie Stevens, Artemisia Gentileschi, Rosalind Franklin...I could cry for an eternity thinking of all the ways women have been denied our ancestral map, and of how many women who sculpted a new mould out of history whose names and faces we’ll never know, or who could have if lack of education hadn’t oppressed them. Which other broad category of people has had their history…

Scrotes mad they won’t get any sex at all under this 😴 none of them ever learnt to properly seduce a woman.

When he was at an age to be finishing university, she hadn’t even been born yet 🤢 these scrotes know full well there’s a power imbalance, they’re just baiting us into saying the 26-year-old woman isn’t of sound mind so they can dismiss all 26-year-old women.

“Sex positive” is such a misnomer. As if the current state of whip them, choke them, injure them, towards women counts as sex 😷 it’s explicitly because we want better sex for women that we’re against the pornified culture of today.

If one more pickme comes out in support of prostitution because a minority of women like the “work”... 🥱 an industry of commercialised rape, child sex trafficking, inherent and rampant OSHA violations—for what? to wet some men’s dicks? A blight on society.

It’s their most bitter fantasy and their greatest cope 🤡 they choose to believe their lack of money is the only thing stopping attractive women from throwing themselves at them currently, to stem their self-improvement.

Context: These are Amber Heard’s and Johnny Depp’s ages when they first started dating. The purpose of this comment wasn’t to pass judgment on who abused who, since I maintain the casually curious public doesn’t have the facts to judge, but to shed light on a dynamic in their relationship the media glosses over and accepts as the norm. E: For all the male lurkers who can’t read 🤕🤕nowhere in this comment am I condoning domestic abuse when it’s perpetuated by women, in fact I ardently condemn it j…

Only reason men using women for domestic & emotional labour isn’t considered gold-digging is because men can’t put a price-tag on women’s labour, not because women’s contributions are of no-value beyond sex.

Also, gold-digging is exploitative but mining for sex isn’t? Get out of here. A functional society isn’t built on the backs of women dating men old enough to be their fathers 🤢

And none of them are entitled to a woman’s womb. Carrying a baby in your womb for 9 months isn’t something to be trifled at, whether it’s abortion or surrogacy.

Wherein gender is a euphemism for sex, not proof of gender identity. Your link also references 'female' in the very first definition, or do you not know how to read? E: Downvoting because you have no defence? How juvenile.

‘She’ and ‘he’ are sexed pronouns, and ‘female’ and ‘male’ are not genders.

And what’s wrong with “she or he”? Why does language either have to be male-centred or neutral to be acceptable?

I do this all the time, and not even to be subversive to goad a reaction, but because it’s in line with my values to put women first.

Fair. My advice was geared at women who are just beginning to speak up for themselves.

^ For anyone reading, time to reclaim the conversation is of the essence. “I’m not done speaking, don’t interrupt me,” is more to-the-point, and more authoritative to boot. Be wary of such subconscious kneecapping of your sentences like these.
