Just so you know - all cheaters say that their wives don't have sex with them anymore. He's probably lying. And even if he wasn't, he should be getting divorced instead of cheating. You shouldn't risk spreading STDs to that poor unsuspecting woman. But I'm glad you've learned better.

To be fair, even though the average life was 35 years, that's because half the population would die before the age of five. So it was pretty normal after 5 to live to old age.

I'm sorry. This situation is so unfair. I hope you'll be safe.

definitely report this to the police. You can go to your local department's website and fill out a form. They will probably send someone in person to talk to you about it and confirm. Personally, there used to be a guy that would walk around naked when I was walking to work before dawn, and when I made a report it turns out a lot of other women had seen him too. I don't know how effective your police department is, but it's better than nothing. I have a pointy thingy on my keychain and some pepp…

to the person asking "what if your spouse turned out to be poly" (sorry, I can't see your comment now) - that's what the marriage vows are for. "I vow to be faithful to you"? If your spouse breaks their vow then divorce. I'm not sure how having sex with this vow-breaking, poly-turning person before even giving vows would improve the situation. Literally the point of marriage vows is to make sure that you're both on the same page about being monogamous. If you're not monogamous, you're not marrie…

I believe in waiting until marriage to have intercourse, maybe not waiting for oral. No birth control is 100% and I don't want to risk pregnancy with someone who didn't care enough to commit to me. This is made easier by 1) I don't believe in weddings 2) I believe girls should be able to propose without offering engagement rings (I know this is against the handbook, and by all means, make sure that his is an enthusiastic yes and walk away if it's not, and make sure he values you in all other way…

Your ex is doing this at least partially because he wants to make you upset. Anytime you are telling him how bad it is for him to do, he gets a little kick. All you can do is NC. Sucks though.

Try just talking to a divorce lawyer, even if you don't actually want to leave yet. Sometimes they know about financial programs that can help during divorce, so it's not as impossible as you think. Initial consultations are often free.

Yeah, it's easy to forget because for most of the episodes Hal is very supportive and loving. He's very likable too! Hold fast to what is good and reject the bad.

Hal is great in some ways but... He tried to secretly make his wife fat by giving her food and lying about it being low calorie, he spends money on dumb things they can't afford to lose (altho Louise does too), he cheated on his girlfriend to have sex with Louise in the first place (altho Louise was also a cheatassist), he considered marrying a different woman two weeks before marrying Louise (who was 9 months pregnant at the time), he has a huge list of 'todo' house jobs that he never does, and…

I would actually write down their promises to me, have them sign it, and then later they wouldn't even look at the paper, like they thought I had forged their signature or something.

In episode 34, "Winning of Morticia Addams", the plot is that Uncle Fester reads a magazine article saying that couples who don't argue are doomed to fail, so he tries to get them to argue more. It doesn't work because they each respect the other person's opinion - Fester tells Gomez that Morticia said his club was stupid, for instance, so he decides to stop going. I do agree with you that that is pretty codependent. That's not healthy. But besides that, they do care about each other and both pu…

I am a watering pot and have a tendency to cry in public. I've gotten all sorts of reactions. I usually cry either on the first day of classes/work, when someone says something mean, at family reunions, when moving, or at the doctor's office. Part of this is because I was taking too much Omega 3, I think - some years I only cry once a year and some it's once a month. But anyway, in my experience, most teachers will be very nice about it and ask if they did anything wrong (they didn't) and half o…

Personally I'm planning after marriage, to pool both incomes for household expenses, then have equal 50/50 allowances and investments for each person. Because I'm planning to be a SAHP during toddler years and think that is just as important a job as breadwinning. Besides, if you get divorced you have to split marital assets 50/50 anyway. But this is different than what you described, because realistically women usually have lower incomes than men (from spending more time on childcare and less o…

You're really not supposed to swerve to avoid a deer, it's safer for everyone in the car if you hit it head on. Obviously if there are no other cars around and there's enough time to swerve a little, that's another thing, but...

Since people started wanting weddings to cost $25k-$50k... Some folks actually care about the party more than the vows 🙄

I think you need a lawyer. Divorces don't need to be mutual. Many, many assholes try to drag them out like that.

yeah. My mom was never really attracted to my father, but pursued a relationship with him anyway, so maybe she would have been sexually compatible with someone she both 1) was attracted to and 2) had a loving relationship with. Now she'll never know because she never tried and has given up trying. I think my little sister is so promiscuous probably because she's a tv addict. Since she was little she would watch TV and movies all day. There seems to be a strong correlation with that and promiscui…

Yes. My mom would try to be sex positive when I was growing up. "Just ask me if you want birth control and condoms" and implying it would be fine for a 13 year old to have sex with cute guys (to be fair, she probably expected it to be "wisdom" for when I'm older). It turned me off because anything my mom thought was a good idea was probably a bad idea 😄 but also because I was embarrassed to talk about any puberty stuff with her. When I was over 18 I found out that she has actually never enjoyed …

Some men do get cheated on and have to divorce because of that. So there is a chance of them being on the dating scene too.

I feel you. I plan to raise my children, both genders, to not be allowed to have sex before marriage, not while I have anything to say about it anyway - when living in my house or taking money to go to college or when visiting. I expect some of them to disobey and to have to parent when that happens. When I was growing up, I felt like parents should just stay out of it, because it was really unfair that kids couldn't live on their own and have freedom already. But I do think that if I truly beli…

I'm sorry, that is very unfair. You might try ordering a bralette online and start wearing that. Your mom might be fooled into thinking it's a bra, or be okay with it. It feels a lot freer and less restricting than a bra. Or even getting a bra without underwire can be a ton more comfortable. I'm truly sorry though.

Do you wear rubber gloves when washing dishes? They make it easier to turn the water really hot without hurting your hands

I have tried halfheartedly to grow carrots twice. The first time, they grew to like an inch high and then died, probably because I didn't give them any sunlight. The second time, two grew like 5 inches but died, probably because I gave them too much sunlight. Going to try again soon. I have a black thumb, I've accidentally killed cacti. And I say halfheartedly but I desperately wanted it to work, I'm just terrible at research.

You really have to be sure of what your hard and soft limits are. You can love someone dearly and care for them dearly and still refuse to put up with disrespect. There are some things that are okay problems that you might expect from even a loving and healthy relationship - misunderstandings, political disagreements about non dealbreaker issues, healthy communicating through issues. There are other things that the relationship is not worth - red flag things. Disrespect, abuse, not having time f…

The one I found has Thailand is at 56% for both genders averaged, which looks like the highest. I'd love to see the other research you mention, since I know there are some problems with the method from the one I'm looking at

Yeah, surveys are pretty unreliable for those reasons. Still, it's a far cry from the "99% of men cheat" that cheaters would like you to believe.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/09/20 09:53 PM

It is from surveys, so it's definitely questionable. It's also for the whole population, not just the dating population. I'm sure there's a higher percentage of cheaters among those currently dating.

It's extra ridiculous because in America, only 25% of men have ever cheated, on anyone

it would be awful for monogamous people, great for promiscuous guys, a whole different ballgame for promiscuous women

i'm short, 5'1, so i'd like someone a few inches taller, maybe 5'4 or so. Easier to kiss that way.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
