My STBX always gaslightened me as well. Never admitted her mistakes, turned and twisted her stories, and whataboutisim was her way for every discussion I tried to initiate. Ever been accused of gaslighting as an actual tool of gaslighting? Going through that now. Been told several times she feels I'm gaslighting her, lying, hiding things, etc. That's been a fucking trip.

Thank you for the input. The more I've heard from others, and even the research I've done on my own, I've seen that offering things up just absolutely should be a no no. I wasn't aware of the steps needed to remove myself or her off the paperwork to the house, and all of that would be such a pain in the ass to go through. It COULD be done, don't get me wrong. But the effort needed to do it would be a lot more of a pain than just both of us calling it quits and walking away. Luckily, our financ…

Didn't know about this at all. So, thank you for the insight! I'm going to look into this now to see what all would need to be done, or if our current lender would allow for a Mortgage Loan Assumption, if she were to take the house.

By all means, if you want to reach out, you're more than welcome! There are some things not mentioned in the post, like things I've tried before. For me, it's one of those things where I genuinely feel like I'm at the end of my proverbial rope, and have nothing left to give. It's not so much that I don't want to save my marriage, it's more that I have no energy or emotional or mental stamina left to make any genuine effort. If things were different, and there was something there between us tha…

I've been trying to repair for a long time. I've put so much in to trying to make things work, but I'm at the end of my rope here. I have nothing left to give, and I've gotten nothing in return except for things being turned around on me and asked why I'm not doing more. I know things are a PITA. Things happen. I get it. Debt happens. But the last thing I want is to stay in a relationship or situation where I'm not happy, and things are just existing, and I'm not happy.

And DO NOT get hoovered into having an accidental oops baby. That aint gonna happen. Kids are completely out of the question. Snip snip. Honestly, I don't know if I'm even wanting to go back out on the market. I've seen how fucking crazy people are now. I'm content to just be on my own. What would you recommend I do as far as getting my 50%? I'm not really looking to be an asshole here, or to try and force a sale of the house, and I really don't want anything from her. I'm just to the point of…

Yeah... I haven't believed it for the last 12 years. When we first started dating it was pretty frequent. The moment we moved in together, it all went downhill. I've worked on making myself better. Losing weight, working out, trying to be more appealing to myself in the mirror. But yeah, nothing. No "Wow! You've lost 80 pounds?! That's great! You look so much better!" But I do get the "That's great for YOU. I've lost ten, and I'm stuck. Great."

Among other things, that's why I'm at this point. I could look past a sexless marriage for a variety of issues if there was passion and affection in other ways. But when there's nothing there... There's nothing there.

Get into couples counseling and try something radical like a 30-day sex challenge. Try to reignite the fire before you even think about divorce. So, I didn't mention it above, and I'll have to go back and edit it in.... But, she's not someone who will do counseling. She doesn't subscribe to the idea or the understanding of sitting down with a complete stranger to discuss personal matters. Even if they're a licensed professional, she doesn't go for it. As for the sex challenge thing... We've trie…

It's a more healthy physical release. You put your mental and physical energy into working out, and you don't feel as frustrated.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
