I personally think that most kids do not have the mental abilities to instill discipline in themselves. Without a parent that teaches them and orders them around to get things done, basic hygiene will not exist. Discipline to work for what you want will not exist. Entering the adult world completely unprepared and bound to fail as a result. Looks are fleeting, but character ... character is something doctors need in their partners, as they spend so much time away from home.
