I don't think that Bundy was as mentally ill as he led on. I think that his murdering spree was a moral issue coupled with intense narcissism, not one stemming from his mental capacity. Just because someone is a murderer does not mean that they are mentally ill. There are plenty of people, famous people even in history that are not regarded as mentally ill despite murdering tons of people either themselves, or were giving orders to do so. I could be wrong though.
